That type of low accountability, toxic culture, seems to follow Rick Campbell around.  Can't out-talent that.

True,...you can field a roster of all star calibre players but if they aren't accountable to each other, or they are toxic, you won't win many games when it counts. Coaches like Campbell and Chris Jones just see talent level and nothing else, where other coaches who develop culture, work ethic, and accountability and actually use it as part of an assessment of their roster tend to have much greater success.

I mean he prob knows it’s BS but he’s not gonna come out and say his QB sucks. This is like Pickens saying dak Prescott is the best. Means nothing. Just a receiver glazing his QB.

There's a lot of ways to pump your qbs tires without resorting to pants on head ******** statements

That shift in culture could catapult the Lions back into Grey Cup contention and finally get them over the hump against the team to beat in the West Division.

“It’s always Winnipeg,” Covington admitted.

I now, like this guy 👆. Hopefully they cut him (like they did to Kongbo) and we can pick him up. 😁✌️

Yeah, I love that they're finally doing away with the 'half the distance' bullshit. I always hated that rule. And honestly I thought the ineligible rec rule was already in place. Once that ball is tipped, it should be game on for everyone.

The receiver tackling one will be interesting. There are a LOT of plays, especially those quick ones to the flats, where a DB hunts a running back down and takes out his legs just as he catches it. I guess they have to aim for the thighs now?

Only if his feet are on the ground and he is reaching to catch the ball in a prone position. Woli took one of these here that was pretty helacious. In that position, you should be able to continue to close and not need to dive as the defender.

More ways to apply rules they won't understand or refuse to actually apply.  Good in theory for player safety but we'll just see fewer flags or more excuses for why the rule doesn't apply.

If there's no standard coming from the review booth, won't matter much.

Extending grey areas instead of clarifying and intensifying rules. What is late, but not egregiously late? The spirit of these changes is where it needs to be, but it will continue to cause uncertainty for refs.

I like the fumble advance change.

They should've taken out the stupid pooch kick Montreal play. That crap is bus league by little league standards.

Should have but the new commish likes it for whatever reason.

I don't think he'll be seeing the field anytime soon so he probably won't have to worry about it.
