He also said last year wasn't what he expected - was that an assumption on his part or was he lead to believe he'd be used a certain way and it didn't end up happening?  Whatever the case, we know now that he was given enough information as to what his role would be this season to get him to come back.  Hopefully it plays out that way.

I believe the new OC told Strev that this season would be different otherwise he wouldn't have re signed. I'm excited to see what the offense looks like this year. Also there was video of Strev throwing yesterday with Chad Davis and it looked like he'd never been injured. That man is a freak of nature.

I'm not ignoring anything. Jake Maier is not a starting quality QB in this league, Good back up...but that is all.

Could be just TCF but he sounds pretty promising. SEC talent with some NFL looks.

A legit cornerback it appears and we lost one of ours so I’d say he’s got as good of a chance as anyone else at grabbing fords old spot. DB tho is never an issue here. DT and DL in general. Would love to see more DTs and DEs signed. Seem to be lacking there currently. And if we being honest and real, shouldn’t be to hard to find a DTackle and end. Should it? Find one of each and we good. Adams woods plus one other should be ok. Another end would be good also. Ppl high on person but he’s listed as a linebacker

Why are we counting the last 5 years?  I'm talking about as of today,  Zach looked bad last season and couldn't throw the ball.   Harris was better at throwing the ball and being a QB then Zach,  the numbers do not lie.   Zach also had the best running back behind him which can only help the passing game.   

Yes they absolutely can lol. See Bo Levi. He had tremendous stats last year. But they came too little too late. Which basically sums up Harris' CFL career. If harris has proven anything as a qb in the CFL it's that stats will absolutely lie lol. Remember when the bombers played hamilton and they had the ball on the final drive and had to score? What did they do? Who controlled that drive? Now Remember the banjo bowl when Harris had an almost identical situation. You let me know how that played out. Those two games nicely sum up both careers imo. Collaros isn't perfect, but I'll take a guy who has proven he can get it done multiple times, even if it's ugly over a guy who puts up stats but has never gotten it done.

Augustine really served no purpose on the team. Yeah I guess he learned how to play special teams... but you should be able to find someone who can do that pretty easily.

Especially for less money...

Augustine is a guy I hate to see go...but i get why he wasn't a priority. He'll go down as a "oh what could have been" player for me. Cause I think he had what it took to be a starting RB.

MCI replaces Augustine. Augustine had the chance to take the starting job in 2021, he didn't.

They’ll have to use an NI backup elsewhere but Peyton Logan signing pretty much pushed Augustine off the roster on offence and MCI can take over as the ST/RB depth

Pretty much my thoughts exactly. I’ll add, if they wanted him back he would be tho. 

Augustine was a ST dynamo but never gonna be a full time RB. This is not a huge loss.

We'll see what MCI becomes but not the greatest rookie debut, zero touches and they brought in Bailey Feltmate to help out at FB.

If I'm a Hamilton fan I'm very concerned on how much they brought in from our team.    I'd be worried that the new GM doesn't actually have a Mike Kelly approved database full of players and that he only does have a few Subway napkins with names he is familiar with.

In one signing, Logan took out Augustine and Lucky.

Not even. He developed into a serviceable special teamer. Initially he wasn't terribly impressive there. His value was primarily that he could in theory contribute as a runningback... though they never gave him many chances there.

I will actually be choked if Alexander doesn’t sign with Hammy.

Nah. He become solid-serviceable. Still  back end of the roster guy at best.
