Did they though? BC was ****.

The Lions rushed 3 & dropped 9  like we do to try to force the run... It didn't work. That's our defense as well. We need to blitz & take our chances. Harris doesn't like to get touched. We have to throw him off his game.

No three man rush please and thank you, even on 2nd and long. To compare it to hockey it’s like a passive pk box allowing the offense to tee it up with little resistance other than sticks and bodies in lanes as the strategy. Hate it. Make them earn it. Run a four man front limiting the steamboats for a pure drop back passer like Harris.

Punish Harris.

Disrupt his pocket. Make him scramble.

This game stresses me the **** out.

But I like the stress?

Couldn’t agree more.

Of the two teams I think we matched up better against BC .. Saskatchewan will be a tough out.

I'm expecting mostly a 3 man rush, like we saw in the Banjo Bowl. But keep in mind, the Bombers have a much better secondary & the LB crew has come on of late.

They didn’t run it worth a damn though.
Hitting Harris is always a clear route to victory though.

With the banged up imp dts, and a Canadian S, I think we could see the return of a cheetah front package.

Lions do not have the secondary the Bombers have.

What’s the cheetah front?

I also think we greatly overstate their play at times.

We are weak through the middle of this defence, lack physicality and have already been picked apart by Harris this season. If we can’t get to the QB, this game to going to be much closer than any of us want.

Sask took away the deep ball, the wind assisted them and for whatever unknown reason, BC didn't gameplan a November style smash mouth run game........Much like every other early exit they have had.......round peg square hole, that game plan has proven not to work in the prairies in November....If the game was in BC, they very well may have won...

Sask's defence played well, they got serious pressure on VA......On offence they showed what they are....dink and dunk, high percentage plays...

As mentioned above...Harris will have success all day if he is allowed to execute the way he did yesterday....but get a few touches on him early and he doesn't get into that rhythm..

It won't be easy but we can win......GO BLUE

Yeah BC just doesn't seem to learn. Every year they rely on their big pass plays and come November, it doesn't work. So what do they do this year? Go out and get a RB who produces fairly well throughout the year....and come November, they still rely on big pass plays lol.

Their OL is dogshit though so they couldn't run even if they wanted to.

We haven’t been able to run on Saskatchewan either and it’s not like our offensive line is an overly physical bunch.

Success, offensively, hinges on our ability to dominate the line of scrimmage from the opening whistle.  The trio of Dobson, Kola and Neufeld have to play MUCH better if we hope to see Brady go for more than 50 yards on the ground.

Yeah but our run game is more than just rushing totals IMO. Brady catches passes is an extension of it.

I agree the OL needs to pick it up,  but more because of collaros. He needs some time to operate otherwise it won't matter what Brady does.

Maybe, just maybe this is the game Zach balls out. He was on his way to doing so in the LDC.

I truly believe that collaros is playing his best ball of the season towards the end of it. Problem of course is there's been times the rest of the O has let him down. So let's hope they've got some good plans formulated and they are able to execute it. Keep collaros from getting hit like a pinata all day and he will pick that secondary apart.

You're right. That 3 man strategy did not work the 2 times they implemented it against them earlier this year......................................................................................

I'm not that worried about the play of anyone....im mostly worried about Bucks game plan.

He has consistently **** the bed this year.

We won back to back on labour day and the banjo bowl. This riders team isn't some big bad scary threat. Harris will dink, then he will dunk and like last night will settle for field goals.
