Was thinking the exact same thing - but I think this will be the backup plan. 

He has played there in the past.

I don’t think we move guys out of places they’ve been successful unless it’s an emergency.

Yeah I think Neuf and his solid presence at guard will help out whomever takes over at tackle

You don't want in essence 2 changes on the line to cover 1 spot

Ya I'd be curious to know where Neufeld feels more comfortable. He's a natural tackle who had to make the adjustment to guard when we brought in Yoshi.

He was always pretty subpar at tackle and didn't really find success until we moved him to Guard.

He’s a guard who has played tackle. He got turnstiled just as much as any one with speed off the edge. He has no chance of surviving out there on a regular basis.
