At any rate, we and a couple other teams have given/offered unicorn RB numbers to him so let's hope he earns it.

Brady's motto.....Pay me.....Play me and Presto we have a winner.....He was never going to leave the Peg and in the end I'm sure as hell glad he isn't wearing anyone else's colours

Don't get me wrong...if we had to blow our nut on a player this offseason I am glad it was BO.

For me, I would spend the nut on a defensive front guy. Dominate in both trenches and the rest takes care of it self.
If not on the front, and with schoen tied up I’m happy it’s bo. I’d a really hated seeing him in another market.

And it looks like an Alberta clipper will dump 4-6 inches of snow on us Friday night. Poop.

Bombers sign o-lineman Khalil Keith and DB  Juan Lua.

Keith is described as big (6'4") and 321lb, but slow and struggled in run blocking at left guard.

Lua was not scheduled to graduate until 2025- 6'0" and 190. A probable project.

Keith Khalil SCOUTING REPORT: STRENGTHS
  • Outstanding on reach blocks, showing good initial quickness and flexibility to seal the backside. He’s a heady player who is quick to recognize and react to twists and stunts up front, and Keith shows a good sense of timing on combo blocks.
  • Dips shoulder and moves his feet to get outside leverage when needed. Strong and low coming out of his stance, effective in short-yardage situations.
  • Fires off the snap quickly, and he shows the flexibility to get out and seal on reach blocks. He’s at his best, however, in the phone booth.
  • In the run game, he plays with a mean streak and does a nice job generating a push at the initial point of attack. Keith can get outside and does a decent job landing blocks in space.
  • Coordinated when moving to the second level as a run blocker, capable of landing blocks on the move.
  • Fires out of his stance with a good pad level, consistently winning at the point of attack.
SCOUTING REPORT: WEAKNESSES
  • Tends to slip off blocks when going against bigger linemen, and Keith too often finishes plays on the ground.
  • Drops his head too often on contact, which causes problems against swim moves.
  • He's athletic and a pure left tackle whose high-hipped frame and waist bending might be exposed against pro rushers

5.1 40 for a 320 plus pound guard is actually good. It’s about 90th percentile in the nfl. The average nfl guard runs almost a 5.4 while weighing 314. 7 guards were faster this year at the nfl combine and not insanely. In the range of a tenth of a second.
I find it interesting that we are looking at an imp who likely only projects as a guard.

Apologize? What is this article even about?

It's a dumb article primarily written to get clickbait. Maybe the Ti Cats need to apologize to James Butler for woefully underpaying him.

Not sure if anyone has posted this but appears the Bombers signed another DB today. Montrae Braswell. Looks like he has kick return ability too had 3 return touchdowns

Very interesting. Shows the OL is a priority, as well it should be.

Definitely should be.

let’s be real, we looking for a starting tackle. And probably 2 tackles  to stick around also.So at the least 3 offensive tackles. Stan ain’t getting younger either.

Snow be gone by Sunday if the temps are correct. Let’s go blue. Also why do ppl say blue during the Anthem. ?

I believe we ripped it off from Saskatchewan. In the age of fan bases dropping their team names or symbols as a chant during the national anthem (like the “True North” shout out), the Riders jumped on the band wagon and wanted to come up with something for their team. I am told (although I never noticed it in any games I attended at Mosaic) that when the line “glorious and free” came up, the fans changed it to “glorious and green” in a quasi rhyme reflecting their team colour. We co-opted it and went with the completely non-rhyming (and non-sensical) “glorious and blue” as a direct copycat move. Also because we didn’t want Jets fans having all the fun.

Why we don’t yell “Blue”  for “True” North Strong and Free instead is beyond me. Seems like a much more sensible fit and borrows the Jets theme but makes it Bomber centric.

Can't say anything about the Riders as that's the 1st I've ever heard about them chanting green (I have also never heard it when I have been to Mosaic) but it has nothing to do with the Jets.

The blue chant predates the Jets 2.0 so not wanting their fans to have all the fun is incorrect.  Fans have been doing this sort of thing for decades (see the KC Chiefs for example) so it's nothing new.

I wouldn't say his departure was nasty. In terms of Harris and the chip on his shoulder, I would say it was amicable.

Good move for every one. Hope we get a game to honour him be great to see him run out onto the field one more time.
