Okay, so the off season officially begins now that the Grey Cup is over. Lots of topics for discussion in the months to come with the Bombers & the League. A new CBA needs to be negotiated sooner rather than later.  Will there be an eventual agreement or a lockout? How much will the salary cap go up? Randy Ambrosie is on record that wants the cap to significantly go up so that is a positive.  Will Bo Levi Mitchell sign with an NFL or perhaps another CFL team? What about Mike Reilly & Trevor Harris who are also free agents? There's a new start up league called the  AAFL & there are legit concerns that it'll draw star CFL players away or hamper free agent signings with CFL teams. Coaching changes in BC & Toronto. The continuing evolving story of the expansion Halifax Schooners & possible exhibition games in Mexico.

Wild week in Regina. Sounds like Rod Pederson is done at CKRM and as the Riders cover guy.  I have no details or idea why.

Wild, no.  I guess unexpected in a way. I thought it odd yesterday when the news broke that Jones was gone that Pederson wasn't on the radio to announce it. It was a pretty big story and he just so happened to not be there to break it

I would say it's a pretty wild week in Regina. Jones out after re-upping and Pederson, the ultimate homer, out. 

I mean, it's the third week in January, so the bar might be low for "wild". 

Supposedly it goes back 3 months or so to a couple minute segment he did on one of his shows. I was wrong in that it wasn't a podcast.

But anyway....  just proves a point that Riderville is like North Korea. 

Say anything bad, you get canned and shipped out.

Dude, read rf. It's pretty clear he was let go, or given the option to resign or be let go, but the public statement is just to save face. He did something, and was cut plain and simple. 

North Korea might try make it sound like something different, but it's pretty much a given he effed up. 

Especially when he's not even announcing what the opportunity is (read between the lines... still needs to get hired.

No matter what happens in Pile O' Bones, the fans there will refuse to see it as any kind of setback. Apart from the Bombers, there is a lot of turmoil this year in the CFL west.
