Week 2 @ Montreal: Streveler Round 2 And Willy On A Short Rope

Time to rebound after the loss and with guys like Leggett, Lefrance, and Wild coming off the 1-game we're going to be in even better shape for this game.  Streveler was great in game 1 and I am now eager to see him run out onto the field and get it done in week 2.

I also think our defense is going to have a better showing this game knowing Willy and his holding onto the ball too long habit.  I know BC's defensive line is probably better than ours, but Willy was giving them sacks on a silver platter all game and he's likely going to give us some too in this game.  Not at all elusive like Reilly.

I'm going to bet that if the Als offense sputters like it did in the second quarter and beyond against BC that we'll be seeing the Als march out Matt Schiltz or Jeff Matthews during this game.

those are fumbles forced not lost.

They only record fumbles lost for ball carriers on the stats database I use.  Only players who have separate stats for fumbles total and lost are QB's.  Forced fumbles is a defensive stat.

Not sure Lafrance who hasn't practiced much at all and isn't in game shape in over Augustine is really the "smart" move

I also think Augustine offers more than Lafrance too...but oh well I guess

Didn’t Wilson cost us possession, deep field position and at least a field goal for points last game? Shame on him.

Stepped out of bounds then jumped on the Lankford fumble resulting in an 'illegal touch' penalty and subsequent turnover.

Can't really fault him for that, didn't know he stepped out of bounds. Fault Lankford for fumbling.

Yeah, not faulting Wilson, just pointing out the specific play that cost us.

plus if he didn't jump on that ball Edmonton likely gets it anyway.

Yeah, more trying to reply to Rod Black. I don't post much, still trying to figure out this quoting system.

Yeah. Ok. Lankford sits out too.

Leggett in for Lankford (like getting an extra DB in the lineup, too)
Wild in for Wilson
Lafrance in for Augustine

I think those are all big improvements.  Two impact defenders coming into the lineup and I'd imagine that Lafrance contributes a lot on specials...

Gale in for Ross.

Wondering how they use Legget on D or if they do at all and just let him do returns for the first game.

Lafrance sort of sucks but other than that it’s a good roster. May the lord’s favour shine on us and we never see Lankford ever again.

I' m guessing they use Moe Leggett sparingly as a DB this game, bringing him in as an extra DB on obvious passing situations.

Excited to see him as a KR though. Leggett doing kickoffs and Fogg doing punts...thats a good unit.

Once he gets "worked in"  Mo will provide us with another ball hawk, back there.....

If he can man the DHB spot, rest of the year....I am happy

Someone reassure me but does this still seem rushed to have Leggett back in the line up after such a serious injury? Don't know if his achillies was completely torn or partially.

This club has no history of rushing hurt guys back on the field... they don't really need him so I assume the club would know best when he'll be ready to come back.

Fogg was one of the best punt returners in 2016 he had the highest average no TDS but had 3 or 4 called back.

Those call backs were also on very questionable penalties.

Yeah 2 were on right garbage penalties...poor guy...

It will take more than the Lords favour shining on us to prevent MOS from bringing back Lankford.

Love having wild and mo back. Hope they can recapture earlier form. Guess foketi and bryant are scratches again.
