  1. this sentence describes about 90% of the posters here... thanks for pointing that out
  2. You don't say! My thoughts... offense is still concerning... the inability to finish drives will hurt us in future games... and the only TD they did produce came on (what I thought was) a very questionable PI call and a pretty darn lucky catch by Smith... however, I thoroughly enjoyed our ability to actually control the ball and time of possession... Early in the 2nd quarter, they had a drive that was around 7-8 minutes... I honestly can't remember the last time we had a drive like that... but I do believe with the opportunities given to them, we should have put up 45 points... Andrew Harris, wow, if you don't love this guy just stop watching Bomber football now... Defense was stellar last night... off the top of my head... Leggett, Harris, Cummings, Shologan, and Wild were the stars, but no one really had a bad game... very happy with the win... looking forward (hoping, fingers-crossed, whatever!) to seeing more improvement by the offense next week...
  3. CJ Gable
  4. maybe I'll tag along ... most of my friends don't endure torture the way I do!
  5. I'm sure hiring this guy would help with female attendance, at least...
  6. I, too, was at that game... I'm still scarred from it and may never return to regina again...
  7. There's a lot of younger posters on this site... but I doubt anyone is young enough to not remember Mike Sellers...
  8. I think this is the reason this "rule" is already in affect, to a degree... there are marginal holding penalties away from the play that don't get called all the time...
  9. Craig Reynolds?? I googled Randy Reynolds b/c I had never the name... with no success...
  10. Also, would it not be only LaPolice in his ear or do multiple offensive coaches have access to that?
  11. I agree with you... however, we're into year 3 and this team seems to be no better than week 1, 2014... the Redblacks are in their 3rd year of existence and are considered a grey cup contender...
  12. I love that Gretzky speech... sure it wasn't all fire and yelling, but there obvious passion and intensity... not only was that a turning point in those Olympic games, but I feel that was a turning point for hockey Canada... shortly after that the Jr team went on their 5 year gold streak and Canada has dominated best-on-best (Torino, 2006 aside) tournaments ever since...
  13. If Willy struggles early, I just want to see a change at QB... not necessarily a permanent change, but just to mix it up...
  14. don't like gifs? don't click on the thread called "GAMEDAY GIF THREAD"...
  15. give your head a shake... the gameday gif thread is the only thing we have to look forward to these days!
  16. Are we thinking of the same Kevin Glenn?... prior to last year's season ending injury this how many games he played in his previous 11 seasons: 18, 15, 16, 18, 18, 18, 18, 18, 18, 18, 18... outside of last year's injury and the 2007 grey cup he's mostly been healthy his entire career...
  17. In Darrin Bauming's defense... we was nice enough to change the spelling of his first name to distinguish a little bit... And I'm glad we finally added Player... sure he's no all-star (yet)... but a decent Canadian O-line option should never be unsigned that long... and I believe he was actually born in a first nations community outside of Winnipeg (sorry, I can't recall which one)... not Winnipeg, as someone else stated...
  18. yeah, I think he spent a year in Stoney for murdering the Riders defense...
  19. Seems like it could be a good trade for both sides... Sask adds depth at QB and O-line (two spots they are desperate for)... and Tor improves their pass rush...
  20. You constantly calling Mike O'Shea autistic is not only offensive, but just plain ignorant... that's fine if you want to make up stupid nicknames for player/coaches you don't like... but to label someone with a serious mental condition... I would hope even you're better than that...
  21. Actually that's not even true... we could have had Ted Laurent instead of Poblah... hindsight is a powerful tool... some people use it to try make themselves seem smart*... *disclaimer: shot not directed at you
  22. WE'RE NOT LAST!!! WE'RE NOT LAST!!! WE'RE NOT LAST!!! #SmallVictories
  23. so unbelievable that's it's actually not correct (not that the reality is much better)... I was curious so I quickly looked into it (regular season only)... These teams scored 30 or more in their last game: Hamilton (week 1), Ottawa (week 1), Edmonton (week 1), Sask (week 20 last year) Here's the rest: Toronto, Oct 6 (6 games)... Calgary, Oct 31 (2 games)... BC, Oct 23 (3 games)... Montreal Oct 23 (3 games)... Then there's the Bombers... opening day 2015, 30-25 win over the riders (18 GAMES!!) ...aaaaaand after all of that I realized you said 30+... meaning 31 or more.... in which case the stat is actually correct... and all my numbers above may not be correct but I don't feel like going back and checking... either way, the current longest streak of scoring under 30 is the bombers at 18 games and second is Toronto at 6 games
  24. Fair enough.... I know that sacks aren't the only measure of o-line play... nor is a sack always the o-line's fault... I was just making the point that other teams seem to be doing a much better job scraping together an o-line/protection plan than we ever seem to come up with...
