27 and 35, 0 and 3 in the playoffs. Never better than 9-9 and that is with being in the East where Winnipeg had the Mike Kelly debacle of 09 and the Lapo bunch that couldn't close games in 2010, plus lousy teams in Toronto.

Make Marcel the coach and they sell even less tickets and less for next year. Marcel is not the answer to any question except who is the CFL coach given the most chances with no results.

Yes, Bellefeuille is terrible, but even worse than him is Brohm.
 
I don't just declare players crap at the drop of a hat, but Brohm has been god awful his entire pro career and I still gave him a shot.  Fact is, when he got time last season he sucked. There was no excuse of "he didn't know the playbook" or anything like that, he was here even before Willy and when he got in he showed nothing.
 
I'll give players the benefit of the doubt, probably too much, but after nothing but pick 6's and showing zero arm strength in several opportunities when do you draw the line? People bashed Dinwiddie for having a noodle arm.. Dinwiddie was Michael Bishop compared to Brohm.
 
Bellefeuille is bad, but no one's holding a gun to the QB's head to throw that 3 yard check down. It was still him calling the plays when Willy was under center and if you'll recall, Willy would throw long passes fairly often. Brohm goes to the check down 95% of the time, unless he's feeling adventurous and throws to a receiver beyond 10 yards!

Brohms average pass was 5 yards. He ran directly into sacks. Under threw players by routine. Was slow to make decisions. This is why we had a whopping 10 points going into the final parts of the game before garbage time. And if not for the gifted turn over we woudlnt even would have had that touchdown.
 
Brohm was no btter than Marve. Period.

Well when we recovered that weird out of bounds by Demski, Brohm did nothing when he had to score.That I put on him.Gotta put it in.

There is not one NI on this team I wouldn't cut if that's what it took to get Muamba here. Hell there ain't many imports I'd want here ahead of Muamba. You have 1 job Walters, get it done.

I agree with 17to85; he already knows defenses so he doesn't need to be in the game action to learn defenses.  He needs to learn our offense and it will be easier learning it while watching than learning it while in the game.

Get a grip on reality. In the first blowout vs TiCats Drew Willy was a whopping 3 of 6 for 48 yards and zero TDs. In the next game vs Esks Willy was a masterful 7-17 for 81 yards. Next blowout vs TiCats Willy was 16-27 for 171 yards with one TD and one INT for a pick 6. As Winnipeg's starter Willy produced a total of 8 TDs in 7 games, before his injury. He had virtually the same QB passer rating as rookie Rakeem Cato, who, at that point, had played one less game. Winnipeg's O production has been mostly putrid, with the occasional big-play exception, regardless of who is in at QB since around the the halfway point of last year. 

Especially, if he only knows half the playbook.......

What does it matter what people thought at the beginning of the season?  Most of the people on this board are fans and for the most part over value the talent we have and want to cheer for the team they follow.
 
Most people on this board who thought these things aren’t in practices to evaluate the QBs. Most people on this board don’t watch game film to dissect the decisions the QB made on the called play and what the defense was showing.
 
Most people on this board were happy with what we had until they had a chance to actually see it.  So what exactly is your point here?  That people shouldn’t complain about the QBs because they were happy at the beginning of the season? That makes no sense.
 
You really also can’t throw out numbers like 95% of the people thought the QB depth was fine. Maybe 95% of the people who posted thought the QB depth was fine, but that is something entirely different. Unless you go back and can correlate the people who said they were happy with the depth are now the ones complaining about it, it really has no correlation.   I’m also sure 95% of those 95% of the people also thought Drew Willy would play for at least 80% of the games…

Here we go with the "Anthony Calvillo" nugget about how he took years to develop. For every AC there are a hundred QBs that legitimately wash out of this league. Not all can be coddled and brought along for years waiting for them to emerge. The reason AC, and I watched his early career, lasted as long as he did was because his fundamentals were off the charts. He just struggled making his reads early in his career. Completely different story, from Marve, who has many fundamental problems with his game.

Basically yes as there are better qbs out there we can bring in than Marve. Burris spent his first year in 1997 on the Stamps PR. In 1998 he saw limited time appearing in his first game. In 1999 he got his first few starts, led the Stamps to 2 victories & looked good before being injured with a torn ACL in August that year & missing the rest of that season. Hank put up much better numbers than Marve his first start. And he showed he had a strong arm, athletic ability & accuracy. Something Marve can't do.

Our D's better than our O or special teams, but that's not the same as saying their good.
 
I can't ignore that they allowed 20 second half points last game after the pick 6. I can't ignore that they are 7th in total defence, 5th in passing yards allowed, 8th in rushing yards allowed and 8th in points against. I can't ignore that they fold after adversity or that they allow long drives (Hint: You can't get off of the field if you don't stop the other team from getting 1st downs) I can't ignore that they force Hurl into the MLB spot even though we don't need to start 8 NI's or that I have to watch Bucknor chasing receivers into the endzone all the time.
 
Our defence is below average in most stats and average in a few stats. The aren't going to win games for us, but they aren't the biggest reason we're losing so often.

I'd have liked to see Barker here. Dave Braley has handicapped Barker with budget cuts. I think he'll do very well with MLSE as the new team owners after this season.

Tino Sunseri released by the Riders. The fallout continues in Regina. Where's Migs, he kept saying the guy was better than Willy? probably curled up in the fetal position under some rock in denial.

That Peterson article or rambling thoughts is the most self serving thing I have ever read.

Chamblin had lost his mind as a head coach. The way things went down yesterday I think it wasn't a stretch to think he'd be fired today. But Taman was a surprise.
