Great, just great.  Longo sets with a narrow base.  Just once, couldn't Walters find someone who sets with a wide base?  I mean, come on, what is he thinking...

Some people have WAY too much time on their hands...

but doing nothing in his 2 years in Toronto and then not even being able to crack the game day roster in Calgary has to be a concern right? I'm going to temper expectations and take a wait and see approach before jumping all over one good year in a poor defence. 

Comparing 2007 to now:
 
Receivers: Milt, Edwards and Armstrong all over 1,000 yards that year. Franklin played the dependable NI role. Compared to what? An inconsistent Denmark, Nick Moore, who is productive but injury prone and Darvin Adams who was playing well but is hurt. Our receivers were better in 07.
 
Running back: Charlie Roberts had over 1300 yards rushing, over 350 receiving and 16 tds. That is light years ahead of Marshall/Cotton/Scott.
 
OL: Dan Goodspeed, Alex Gauthier (NI tackle), Picard, Sheridan, Val. St Germaine, Aaron Fiaconi, Kyle Koch versus now? Please.

The worst part was how bad TSN wanted to make this video go 'viral'...

I like marve, but frankly I don't think he played very well. Always moving from the pocket is still clearly a run first QB, when he did stay in the pocket he took a long time to make a decision I found,unless of course it was a designed quick hitter. He also under through a couple balls (his int) comes to mind. He'll get better but if willy plays tonight, we win hands down.
I liked the commitment to the run game but at the end of I was just wishing they would take a shot down field already. It seemed like they didn't want to throw anything past 20 yards

Rookie QB with no prep time cost us tonight, I thought. You could really see the inexperience in Marve. I don't blame the guy...but he is what he is. Made a lotta "rookie" decisions tonight that, I thought, really cost us. I'm a big believer that we don't give up the kick return TD if he doesn't take the 20 yard sack....shoulda thrown it away, punting from farther down, and I don't think the ball comes back.

Funny - i was one of the few who was wanting Higgins as the GM or coach here after the Burke/Mack fiasco - most here said no thanks (though TBH I was looking at him more as a GM than a coach at that point). 
 
But you know what - I don't mind O'Shea - he's learning yes, he makes mistakes yes, but I think he is getting the most he can out of this team, we just aren't that good yet

It makes me want to crawl into a dark hole and listen to REM's "Everybody Hurts" on repeat.

He is limping and his footprints are smeared with blood from his bare feet. Following Walters is JADE ETIENNE. Etienne is wearing a chain collar and Walters is holding his leash.)
SUBTITLE: January 2014.
(Enter ZACH COLLAROS, wearing a crisp safari suit, riding on a well-bred two-hump camel.)
COLLAROS: Hello, Kyle Walters! How would you like to buy a ride out of this desert?
WALTERS (coughing sand) No. I would prefer to have Drew Willy bring me out of this desert. He has a helicopter!
COLLAROS: Suit yourself.
KENT AUSTIN (offscreen, angry): Hey, Collaros! Over here!
(Collaros rides off. Enter HENRY BURRIS, who is smiling. He is driving a land rover. It is an old land rover with not a lot of tread left on its tires, but its air conditioning still works.)
BURRIS: Hey Walters, you want me to drive you out of here?
WALTERS: What? I'm sorry, I was too busy pissing blood to hear what you said.
BURRIS: You need a ride out?
WALTERS: No. Drew Willy will be along shortly to pick me up.
(enter MARCEL DESJARDINS. He floats down on a parachute made of money. Burris and Desjardins embrace and wander off together.)
WALTERS (stumbling forward.) Drew Willy? Are you out there?
(enter BRENDAN TAMAN being carried upon a litter by the BEST FANS IN CANADA)
TAMAN: Hello Walters.
WALTERS: Brendan! Thank God you're here! I want to have a talk with Drew Willy. (Walters rattles Etienne's chain). I'll give you Jade here if you let me talk to him. Jade's put on a bunch of weight! He'll be good eatin'!
TAMAN: Sorry, bro, I've just traded Willy's rights to BC.
(Off in the distance, we see Wally Buono climbing aboard Drew Willy's shiny new helicopter)
WALTERS: (anguished) Noooooo!
(Walters collapses into the sand. When he looks up, he sees BRIAN BROHM. Brohm is walking a bicycle with no back wheel.
WALTERS: I suppose you'll have to do.
Close on Brohm pushing Walters through the desert. Walters is on the handlebars of Brohm's bike. Above them, vultures circle.

I think the discussion is maybe not less after a win, but just different. It's easier to talk about the positives and negatives of the game because there are less people here that are interested in yelling at the top of their lungs. Less rants about 25 year Cup droughts and firing all the coaches.
I know after a loss I tend to comment less because there's less discussion and just more shouting.

Nice throw by Burris. If Williams has to hesitate at all he probably gets angled out. That was a howitzer right on the money.

As per CFL.ca article. Really shows the importance of getting pressure to the QB. 5 sacks in 4 games so far.

I honestly had a defender hit me harder then that while I played a game of touch football...no penalty...touch football. I wasn't even mad about the no call, cause it was a fair play. What does the Cfl want the defenders to do???
