I'm not going to sit here and read all of the stories and put together all the details so I can somehow disprove this kid's story, because, well, why would I want to do that?
What appears to be your worst case scenario: a kid and mom make up a story about being harassed to get some Bomber stuff. Honestly, I would rather be wrong in defending them and have this actually be the case then to be so jaded as to assume they're lying because their story isn't air tight. There's nothing naive about that.

It was pointed out to me a while ago that Gainer isn't real but a man dressed up in a costume. This may be the case with Boomer.  Just sayin'

Or... maybe people started playing better because they had confidence in Nichols and had lost confidence in Drew.  You're right, it's never a everything or nothing on the qb, but I think you're underestimating just how bad Willy was playing.  The team (o-line, d, special teams) seems to be playing with a heart and a grit that was missing earlier in the season.  Did everyone suddenly get better or did a change in qb help spark it all.  My guess is that it was a little of the former and a whole lot more of the latter.  

Nichols is under our microscope so we see his near-misses more than any other QB's. There are near-misses by every QB.

I think this year is a write-off, but I think he'll be their starter next summer and will look good with a much better team...

Agreed, and I think Milanovich is just the one to cure him.

Very pleased with what Walters has done with this trade.  Got some quality assets for someone who was probably done here.  One can take the view that he made a mistake in signing Willy to his big contract and then corrected the mistake.  I for one am not going to second guess him if he ends up having a good career in TO.  If Willy just needs change of scenery, then so be it.

In terms of results, you're definitely correct.
But you can bet that our coaching staff doesn't just grade performance on results. A bad throw is a bad throw whether the result of it was bad or not.

For sure. I live in Northern Alberta (about 3 hours S of the NWT border) and there is significant farming pretty much to the NWT border.

The D was definitely bad to start the year, but I think that motivation is a factor that has to be considered as well. Perhaps the stats won't back me up on this (I'm too lazy to check) but it at least seemed like the offense was punchless, which has to be demoralizing and exhausting for the D. I know they are pros, but they are also human, and it had to be hard to feel like a defensive stop actually wasn't going to mean much in the grand scheme of things. Lately, there is actually the possibility of the offensive scoring points, even touchdowns, and hitting back after a defensive stop. That has to effect their play in my opinion.

It's not about his biases or just general being shitty at his job that get the ire of other media members and cause them to call him out, it's when he questions the credibility of other people that gets them pissed off at him. He basically has the gall to tell other respected media people that they are hacks and are flat out making up reports. Damn right they're going to fire back at him for accusations like that.

I don't believe for a minute that their one and only priority is to make money, and so if they are making a political statement it's because they think that's what people want and will spend money on, not because of any principle. Whether or not they are right, well I guess we'll see.

I think what we all want to know is, how come Rod Pedersen didn't drop this bombshell?

To be honest, I thought it was a little unfortunate that this element of the story seemed to be overshadowed by Riley rather than the other way around, so thank you for posting this.

Just go away. You're a big hero "suffering" the way you did but you say you're no longer a fan. You claim you kicked the team to the curb yet here you are. Others are angry but haven't quit on the Bombers. You're actually bragging about your decision as you've posted similarily at least a half dozen times recently. Initially last night, I didn't think I wanted O'Shea gone. For that exact reason - I don't want LaPolice or Hall as the head coach either.
Because we've seen that story one too many times before.
But you're right - if the best reason we can keep a guy is that at least it's not another guy, that's not a reason at all. Get rid of him and make sure management does the right thing in the offseason.
