Makes sense that LaPo might be the first person Buck calls, if he doesn't want to be the OC. If LaPo has any sense of self-preservation left, he chooses the Bomber OC job over the Riders.
Buck, Lapo and Dru Brown leading the Riders to a Grey Cup would almost be hilarious.

Are CFL insiders Naylor amd Farhan ever right about anything?

You're giving Ford Kramdi's job based on the one game of pro football he's played in his career?
I'd say more based on the 38 Kramdi has played.

Unpopular opinion, but I am more comfortable keeping Zach if we are getting a new OC. Some fresh ideas couldn't hurt.

This team turned Fajardo into a legend. Get rid of all of them.

He did it. That crazy son of a ***** actually did it.
Sources say the management team will all be making league minimum, as their salaries are being offset by a generous donation from previously unknown local business man "Made Willer".

I can just see Buck weighing his options now.
"On the one hand, the position pays more, it isn't too far from Manitoba, it's with one of the leagues more stable organizations and gives me a chance to be a head coach like I have always wanted...
...
...but Noeller!"

This is a true "leopards at my face" scenario. I actually like cruises, but putting my life and livelihood in the hands of a cruise company seems like about the worst possible idea.

All of this speculation is fun, but as somebody said upthread, there is zero chance Osh moves on from any of his vets that still want to play, let alone Collaros.
I have been thinking about it since last week, and I feel like there is a lot less risk with almost the same amount of potential upside if we tried out a new OC instead. I found the play calling really hit and miss this year, and maybe a coordinator with some fresh ideas could get Zach out of his funk (and utilize him better in the playoffs).

🤣 I haven't even begun the grieving process. I am not prepared to even discuss the game yet.
People around the office keep stopping by and asking how I am.
How am I? I'm cruising down the de-Nile! That's how I am.
Call me in January.
**** everyone who asks me how I am doing after any Bomber loss, never mind the Grey Cup. It's times like these I am glad I work from home now.

Not buying it. Guys who busted coverages on the last drive were not playing out of position or moved anywhere, They were in their proper positions. They just blew it.
Rose was a better cover guy than Houston, and should have been playing instead.

They didn't have an extra DB, and we had at least one injury so it necessitated having Hallett at safety and moving Alexander out.
You want to point at how roster management can lose you a game, case in point. If Rose is on for Bighill, he takes Parker's spot, nobody moves around, no confusion, no touchdown.

I don't think Bighill was throwing anyone under the bus. I think he was responding to the "OMFG teh Als coaches are big headed geniuses!" and defending his own coaches by saying basically "there was a break down, it happens, but we didn't lose to a team playing 4D chess".
-
I've decided it's time to move on from Hall. I feel he has proven his defences aren't built to close out close games when it matters. Grey Cup 2023. 2022. To a lesser extent 2021. Ottawa. Labour Day. Even the last game against BC where a missed Kramdi tackle somehow allowed us to get to OT.
When the chips are down and the other team needs a field goal, they often seem to get into range easily, and often further.
Maybe it's just me. Or maybe we just need more playmakers. But there is a pattern here.

I'm no math whiz but the websites I visit say the Bombers have been to 26 GC's and won 12 of them. You've got them going to 4 more GC's then I remember reading about or seeing.
In my lifetime I've seen the Bombers go to 12 GC's, and win five of them. That's not great.
5 of 12 is only one away from a coin flip, which, to be honest, the Grey Cup kind of is. You have two teams that got there after either being the best all year or getting hot at the right time. You have injuries, hype, emotions, weather, usually a neutral site/crowd, and the any given Sunday aspect. I honestly think 50% is about as good as you can hope for.
I think the only thing that might tilt it one way or the other is if one team plays at home.

I hated 'Reclaim the Throne'. There's no Throne in football. It should have been 'Reclaim the Cup'.

Our mantra is going to be awkward for next season. Maybe something like:
This year we mean it, we are going to reclaim the throne. And if we don't, at least we aren't the Argo's.
Or something like that.
I am going to let my lawn sign freeze into the ground so it get slowly buried all winter.

After the benefit of two days hindsight, giving up a 30 yard pass on 3rd and 5 against Cody Fajardo to lose the Grey Cup is about the single dumbest thing I can think of. I can't believe the team put themselves in that situation and I hope they wear the cone of shame all winter for it.

I dont know why I let this mediocre team con me into believing every year.
