It was a joke, don't want an injury, over react much? I would love if we signed Dressler even if we don't really need him and can't afford his salary. The angst and vitriol over at the rider site would be worth it

For Montreal it was almost when they pulled Brink LOL ... For the Poop Clouds (Reebokian for Winnipeg) it was the blocked punt/TD, PI call.

The uniforms are scheduled to be worn once this year and once next year.

Perhaps it's somewhat hopeless to dream but THESE are the Bomber unis IMO ... simple, classic, like the Leafs, Canadians, Rangers, Cowboys, Giants etc. What's so difficult about bringing these back?  Sigh ...

I think an honorable mention should go to Hajrullahu for having the presence of mind to kick the ball through his own end zone for the safety after the high snap. If he simply falls on it or tries to make a play which would likely fail, then the Ti-Cats get the ball deep in Bomber territory and come away with at least a field goal, if not a touchdown. Giving up only a safety lead to the margin of victory.

OP is trying to make the case that the Bombers have a bad defense, when some simple math shows the Bombers D is in the top half of the league.

I don't know about you but it's obvious there is a definite trend with this year's version of the Bombers. It doesn't seem to matter too much who goes in, they seem to get the job done. It's situations like this (article) that demonstrate to me it's good coaching and a good system that wins consistently in this league. IMO the biggest issue this team has had in the past number of seasons is the fact that injuries or lack of depth would kill our chances. It was frustrating because back then for the Bombers, you could have all stars in place here, and they couldn't get it done because the system was flawed. I always wondered why teams like Calgary could just find new players to replace quality starters and we couldn't. Sure you do need good players and a quality QB and teams like the Stamps seen to always have had that but you also need a solid system in place. That's the big difference this year. Like the article points out, Carter is in for Julian Feoli-Gudino, who's in for Croy Watson etc. Our defence has sort of been the same. We lose Vega and Sears but the replacements do just fine. About the only area we are still working on is Oline in this regard but I believe soon we'll be good there too (although they were pretty good on Friday night). Am I simplifying this too much or am I on to something or on something here?

The Lions picked the Bombers deliberately for Geroy night as last year it was a free spot on the Bingo card so a good night to honour Geroy and send the fans home with an easy win. Too bad they forgot about how Mike O'Shea isn't Tim Burke.

Maybe Bob laughed it off, not sure though. How I read it, and I could be wrong, is when you look at the tweet it seems more like confusion on Bob's part rather than light hearted "oh that Chad" type of thing. It's almost like Bob is kind of saying in a subtle way "I guess Chad thinks he is more important than the game" IMO.  Why he wouldn't make himself available when everyone else who has come up here to play has, is at least curious ...
