Game 5: Flames @ Jets
The deke around the D was impressive, but man how did Ramo even let that in?? It was low, near side! No clue how that puck ever gets in the net.

Bombers vs RedBlacks (and Jovon's chirp)
Man we are some kinda terrible.

Tajh Boyd Released
Davis is 3rd string tonight, according to Knucks pre-game. Re: Boyd, he says "I'm hearing he wasn't 'all in' on being a QB for the WBB in the CFL" so you can read into that what you like...

The Music Thread
I like Paul...I really do. He's a good guy and means well. He's gone WAY overboard with the preachy church stuff lately, and then even the stuff that's not overly preachy is basically a 90s Pop/Rock song. There's zero trace of a steel guitar on this track anywhere. Same deal with Jess's stuff. She's cool, nice chick and everything...but they're just a lotta pop songs coming from her. This Open Road track is basically something that woulda been on Pop/Rock radio around 2000...

Election 2015
If Justin could have a tenure like Obama, I'd be okay with that...

Will we? With our offense?

Bombers vs RedBlacks (and Jovon's chirp)
We'll have a tough go tonight, but should be better in the rematch at home, I'd bet...

Edmonton Oilers LOL (perhaps Calgary Flames LOL)
They've played all tough teams to start. Things will get better. Goaltenders are way better which is the key. Everything else will come.

Glenn To Alouettes
Nichols is never going to be as good as Glenn was at his best, but right now? I think it's 6 of one.......

It's time for the Riders to start sucking ...

Election 2015
This is basically how I feel. I'm somewhat of a fiscal conservative, and I think the current incarnation of the Grits are, too. I'm less concerned with Justin as the face, as I am about who the cabinet ministers will be. Have a good money nerd in charge of the finance portfolio, and I'm totally fine with them in power. Like Dave said earlier, the current LPC is a lot closer to the Con's than people realize, just with a more like-able leader, imo. Harper is just such a complete tool and shoulda been tossed a long time ago.

Blue Jays
But why look for a way to fight it? What's wrong with being a little more Nationalistic? I wish everyone would look for more opportunities to care more about Canada and the things that represent us. Like it or not, they're the only Canadian-based team, so they do represent us...and I'm always for anything that joins us all together.

Around the CFL Regular Season Discussion
Nobody's bringing back Taman...I just can't see it. Of course they were talking about it on the radio...the media guys LOVED him because he's their go-to "insider" for information. I really don't see the PTB bringing him back...

Blue Jays
Oh there's no question, this is 75% bandwagon fans.....no doubt at all. But hey, it's a National Pride thing. Like when Hockey Canada ices a team at the Olys or World Jrs or whatever. It's just nice to get the whole country behind something for even a short time...

Logan Couture leaves Sharks practice on crutches. Not good for them, and any poolies that might have him...

Blue Jays
Based on my FB/Twitter feeds, living here in west-central Alberta, I'd say virtually all of Canada is on the wagon. It's pretty much all anyone's talking about on social media...

Als Trade Number 2
Jonny sounds a little defensive in that tweet, if you ask me...maybe a bit concerned for his job....

Around the CFL Regular Season Discussion
Trevor Harris has taken a nice step forward, but it's laughable to think he wants to be the highest paid...

I'm sure it's not dissimilar to how we felt about the 1996 Grey Cup.....

Blue Jays
I enjoyed those last three innings so much that I watched the replay again later on Sportsnet One. As intense as that game was, I honestly think the best is yet to come. The Royals and the Jays hate each other with a passion. The last time they played it was a total war, with both sides throwing at each other's heads. It's a good thing Donaldson can duck or he'd be still in rehab, as they were chucking at his melon all game. I expect a few bench-clearings and more insanity for sure. Baseball is a crazy game. I hope that we get a better commentating crew this round as well. That guy with the comment that Canadians can't catch foul balls was really getting on my nerves. Harold Reynolds is a ******* moron. That guy gets on my last nerves. And adding to the KC/Jays rivalry, the KC regional broadcast team was calling the Jays "a beer-league softball team" earlier this year, apparently because they hit so many home runs. Lame.

Blue Jays
In 35 years, I've seen some crazy **** happen watching sports. But I have never....EVER.....seen anything that rivals the 7th inning of that game. Very very glad I was sitting at home watching it.
