Not to say that Neufeld is the second coming of Nick Bastaja or anything, but he was an irreplaceable national starter in 2014.  We rotated six players through his position -- Goosen, Swiston, Hinse, Jones, Knapp, and Howard --  and none of them could step up and claim it as their own.  And Willy's downturn started right around the time Neufeld was hurt.

Neither our DC....or for that matter our OC...... has made much of a case for retention.  Enough of this mythical power struggle nonsense, and just get on with improving this club with some new coaches...

Bombers should take note of how Hamilton does their Jumbotron. Using the whole thing for footage looks glorious.

My opinion is still we need to get rid of Etch and MB.

After a Bomber win, the next greatest joy is seeing the Rider "fans" getting what they deserve. To hell with all of them...

I said it before and I will say it again, this team has Bellfool and Etch stink all over it, I don't see O'Shea or Walters stamping anything so they better get their **** together because relying on those two jokers is a sure fire career death sentence.

Today we had LaPo & Climie calling him out at halftime in short yardage & near the goal line for calling pass defending schemes instead of run. You know that it's bad when it gets to that as 99% of the time the panelists on TSN are vanilla not  wanting to offend anyone associated with the CFL. But Etch is beyond defending. 

I've said time and time again, this offense looks much more proficient when they are running an up tempo three minute offense .. they consistently move the chains and put pressure on opposing defenses .. I'm not sure why it takes us 57 minutes before we start to move with urgency ..

I would be perfectly fine with that. I never want to hear ridiculous things like Ted Laurent and Alex Hall would be useless here because they don't fit the Etcheverry scheme.

CFL football is my sport, period. The only thing that comes close to my passion for the CFL is curling during The Season Of Champions, and that's a ways off. Hockey starting is great, sure, but nothing gets me amped like that one game a week when the Bombers are playing and, for a brief moment, I get that feeling like the next week might be okay cause the Bombers won.

A few comments on your post. First of all, I live in the same community that Brendan is from and from what I've been told, he really liked Winnipeg. Its only a 4 1/2 hr drive from here. Rumours they wanted to move him to center may have been a factor.  I have never spoke to him about it even though I know him, out of respect to his privacy.  What I post is strictly my opinion.  There were Bomber jerseys hanging in every bar and restaurant in town, because everyone here was/is dam proud to see him playing pro ball. His parents are rider fans but I've seen them at many games wearing their Bomber jerseys like any proud parents/family would. Would anyone expect any less.  In the 2008 draft we took Shologan 4th and pasted on Brendan when we could have drafted him.  In now way, shape or form could I possibly say I know that he would have stayed or not, but I do find it odd to read that others are positive that he wouldn't have.  Currently there are Stamps jerseys hanging too with Jones on them. Our little town has turned out 3 olineman in the past 5 years. 
  Using Neufeld as a example, his parents are long time season ticket holders and sit right behind the rider bench as they have for years.  Paddy basically got hurt and in the mean time Heenan came in and took that job and owned it. Paddy now is in a good situation with the bombers and everyone here is happy and proud of him. Wishing him every success in the world for a long and healthy career. I believe he is very good and was sorry to see him go.
  Just this year we lost Zack Evans to Ottawa via the draft. He is a free agent at years end and I'm sure I'm not the only one that was hoping he would return this winter to play for the Riders. He re-signed a bit ago and opted to stay in Ottawa. He likes it there and its a good situation for him. Again, no hard feelings here, Wishing him the best of luck. 
  Long storey short, Manitoba and Sask aren't that far apart, being in one or the other offers great opportunities for family and friends to stay close and still come watch games.  For a Manitoba kid that didn't get a chance to play for the bombers, would it not be at least reasonable to suggest being right next door in Sask would be the next best thing?  just my 2 cents, no hard feelings were intended.

You've all been to the cocktail party in question. Someone pulls out a deck of cards and puts on a show of prestidigitation and slight of hand. "Pick a card, any card", the magician tells you. Imagine a cocktail party with all the CFL quarterbacks and offensive coordinators in attendance. Gary Etchevery is the lone defensive invitee. He pulls out his deck of cards shuffles them and begins his show. Well you already know what happens. The audience is initially impressed. Eventually as the party wears on everyone gets the trick.
For a third of the season GE made chicken salad from chicken feathers. Everyone bought into the stick. You don't need a big aggressive mean DL to disrupt an OL, give me a deck of small quick tweeners, shuffle them up, throw in a undersized linebacking core.....now watch my hands! Don't employ a system, no rules, switch them up, rotate them, shuffle them here there everywhere......watch my hands......
Well he didn't fool Penn and Teller, and it looks like Henry Burris was the last guy at the party to figure it out.

I'm not going to say that some of our personnel decisions are wrong at this point ... but they're leaving me very confused.

If the Bombers are going to continue to tank this season, the Riders being thoroughly embarrassed in every way eases my pain...

Control the message .
With Riders smashing the panic button and failing to get a credible QB they need to quell the negativity with overly optimistic Durant talk. This keeps the hounds at bay and dont have to answer annoying questions about the now ordinary defense and porous O-line.
