Did he really? He had the chance to pay a premium for an expiring contract without even the chance to talk to the guy first. Edmonton go the chance to talk to him I believe, and they signed him almost instantly after the trade was made. All signs point to Reilly wanting to go to Edmonton and Buono being Buono and trying to grift another GM into a bad trade. 

The one distinct area where I show concern lays at the feet of the scouting dept., specifically Danny McManus. I love the fact that the Bombers had finally invested more than a train ticket budget to have a real football operations dept., but how many of you are surprised/shocked that we don't have a steady stream of players that can pass the muster and push for roster spots? I know I am.
This area gets a failing grade from me.

need a really good NT before you can run an effective 3-4. Anderson is stepping into that role but its not natural for him.

It's not the one signing i think that is resulting in the "im done" posts, it's the not doing anything at all to fix the actual problems that are resulting in the "im done" thread.
 
Why hasn't Bellefeuille been fired yet? Why is Brohm still employed? Why are we picking up some retread running back when we don't even use the guys we do have, I mean really.. what are we gonna do? dress 3 running backs and give them what? 10 total carries? It's just a joke, they are doing nothing to get better, that's the problem... I have as much faith in the bombers as anyone but... Honestly, it's at the point where i'm not sure i'd go to a game if someone gave me tickets for free. 
 
My girlfriend went to the last game with 2 of her friends who have never been to bomber games before... she told me they told her that they would never go to a game ever again, those were potentially new fans but... they said they wouldn't go again.
 
Those people booing left right and center, they are the ones who the bombers need to convince to buy grey cup tickets... They are hosting the grey cup, not that that really matters but... they are hosting the cup and doing absolutely nothing to actually address the problems. 
 
Why aren't QB's being brought in? Why is MB still employed, why are guys like Greg Peach and the sorts still on the roster, I don't get it, i really don't.... tickets aren't cheap and we all have TV's at our homes, why would anyone pay 68 bucks for a ticket to watch this crap when they can watch it for free at home. I mean really, they are doing nothing to show the fans that they actually realize there are problems, they are seemingly blind to the issues... that's a problem. This regime came in and people believed, they spoke a good game really but..so far the on field results show that they really have no clue at all. 
 
All i'd like from them is for them to actually show me that they realize problems do exist, but what i've gotten the last couple days is a whole lot of nothing... That shows me that they either 1. don't care 2. are obvlious to the fact that the team sucks or 3. Are just stupid really
 
How can you ignore your fan base like this really... it's ridiculous. Yeah this forum and the others, they are the hardcore fans... the ones who might care the most actually and when you see the people who care the most saying "im done", whats it tell you really?

I think so. Look at our Canadian depth compared to the Mack and even the Taman regimes and you'll see its much improved. Sure we don't have any superstars anymore like Doug or Henoc, but we have a lot more guys who are capable and can contribute as starters or at least as rotational players.

Our "use" of him, this last game....was beyond stupid...

I think the embarrassment is that Moll on his own found more and better American talent than the current army of US scouts.

Then you don't know what you're looking for. He's quietly become an elite SAM in this league, no question.

I'd like wild over Simmons if it comes to that.. Wild Hunt Bilukidi would make this defence so dominant.

I love the uniqueness of the required ratio in the CFL.  Keeps things interesting.  I'd be okay with them lowering it to 6 starters if a 10th team ever came into the league, but completely eliminating it would be a very bad idea. 

I'd likely stop watching, if that ever came to pass. If I cared to watch "Best On Best", I'd watch the NFL. I care about Canadiana and want to see Canadians vs Canadians...I honestly wish the ratio required more NIs.

If we got Bilukidi, our defense would actually start to look insane.

On paper that's incredible.

Bucknors really looked pretty damn good at times this year... can't say that for the OL. Particularly the center and right guard spots.

I think if we could just find a DT that could beat the double team... an American rush end that can rush the passer and defend the run, this defence will be dominant...
But we have to upgrade the offensive game plans to beat the blitz. In my opinion we have the best personel on offense we've had since 2007.
If we could just learn to beat the blitz and find a couple good DL and just play Veltung at Returner... this team would be pretty fantastic.

Sooooo.. Nobody wants to comment on his two 52 yarders and the 1 yarder coffin corner punt that realistically should have sealed the damn deal with that safety after?
No.. Just about his one huge punt that was shaked slightly to middle of field..
Or the fact an entire cover team wiffed on a guy.. AND one guy took out lirim when he had his chance to stop him..

The guy is inconsistent at times, no doubt.. But he is also a phenominally accurate kicker very often as well.. If he can shake the inconsistencies from his game or mechanics, he will be lights out..
Id not even consider moving on from him at this point.

Marve impressed me tonight.  Too bad he only had half a practice this week; I think that was a mistake of the coaching staff to only have one practice in a week for your starting QB is making his first ever pro start. 
 
Only thing he needs to work on is his deep ball accuracy. But Marve is definitely the clear backup QB now in my opinion. 
 
It was funny, after he hurt his hand, I sit right behind the Bombers bench and saw him gulp down what looked like a hand full of pain-killer pills. 
 
Defense really impressed me tonight...Hurl had another good game and Bass and Westerman are both BEASTS!
