  1. I learned all my best swear words at Bomber games....I think the most common phrase from my dad during games was "don't repeat what that man is yelling in front of your mother"....
  2. He doesn't play for Winnipeg. If we had him, he'd be "just another bum Mack brought in that is never going to play".
  3. Did they happen while JJ was playing defense?
  4. Bob Irving ‏@BobIrvingCJOB17m Tim burke confirms bryant turner and terrence edwards will miss saturdays game in guelph--turner might only miss 1 week, edwards likely more
  5. we got most of our sacks in the 3rd and 4th quarters. That o-line of Montreal must have been seeing Zach Anderson and Bryant Turner in their sleep on Thursday night. They were totally exhausted by that 4th quarter, mentally and physically. I hope we put the same kind of beat-down on Hamilton's o-line on Saturday, and have Burris running for his life all game.
  6. Next year when Pencer starts at tackle giving us 4 NI on the O line I think we'll be really happy we have him around.
  7. I was LOL'ing at the Hamilton DB's yesterday too. There was a play where three DB's were covering Coehoorn and I believe Hobbs tried to time an interception and was so off he was over a second early. The ball went over his head while he was lying on the turf right into Coehoorn's hands. It was the worst whiff I've ever seen. If I was Austin I'd have cut that kid right after the game. Also - what was with Austin yelling at the umpires all game? He looked like such a ******-bag.
  8. all right well whatever. Hall was taking out the tackle on that play and leaving Turner to weave his magic one on one against Flory. Flory just looked awful on that play. He was probably dead tired due to the heat and humidity and from having all of that speed coming at him all night long.
  9. Woods (5-6, 180, Portland State, DOB: August 5, 1986 in Portland, Oregon) spent the last few seasons in the United Football League where he was a solid return man, winning the league’s special teams player of the year award in 2011 after finishing second in the league in all-purpose yards and averaging 23.6 yards per kickoff return. He was a dynamic player at Portland State, leading the team in receiving as a junior with 66 receptions for 1,028 yards and six touchdowns, while also setting school records for kick returns (35) and kick return yards in a season (908) that he later broke the following year. His career statistics of 88 kickoff returns for 2,222 yards are all-time school records. I am thinking this is in response to JJ's fumbleitis.
  10. I watched that Eron Riley guy for the Riders and wasn't impressed. I was surprised he beat out Carr. He had a horrible off-side that killed a beautiful TD reception by Taj Smith. Anyway, good luck to Greg in Calgary, hope he sticks.
  11. I watched the game again on the weekend, sober this time (more or less) and watched Hall a lot closer, and yeah I was wrong. He was awesome. Kind of like the set-up guy for the other three, that the O-line had to double-team. Watch that last sack by Turner - Scott Flory is so worried about Hall that he turns to his right expecting Hall to be there, and Turner just runs right by him like a pylon (with violent hands!! to boot) and has a free shot at Calvillo, who doesn't even move and just gets creamed. I don't expect all our sacks to come this easy, as most other QB's in the league will be able to escape a lot faster than Grandpa Calvillo. However, it was a thing of beauty to watch that last sack.
  12. It was good to see Anthony Parker, taken AHEAD of Jade Etienne in the 2011 draft, make a catch last night too, first one in two years. With that catch he is now leading Jade by 12 yards in all time receiving. Come on Jade! Scott Mitchell, taken second overall that year, is sitting on the injured list for Edmonton. Is he really injured? I hope so, as if you can't make that Edmonton O-line in its current horrible state then maybe you should be doing something else.
  13. I didn't hear Alex Hall's name all night. It seemed like Mainor, Turner and Anderson were getting all of the sacks. When Gilmore is ready to come back, is it possible that Anderson stays in and Hall comes out?
  14. Yeah those QB sneaks definitely mean he's ready. To do QB sneaks.
  15. Till one of them gets hurt, and we're screwed for NI depth. I like our NI depth now, finally. Let's not screw with it. I'd give Calgary a draft pick for Glenn, even a second rounder, but not really interested in giving them any players right now, unless it was a spare part we aren't really needing right now. They just lost Corey Mace for the year, perhaps we could lend them one of our DE's? They need an NI though, and NI D line players who can actually play are pretty valuable.
  16. yeah I think you're being a little hard on the ST there, I thought they did a great job containing Devine.
  17. I think he tore his ACL in 1999. At least that's what I read somewhere.
  18. Zach was on the P/R. We called back Marquis Frazier. It will be interesting to see if Anderson has 3 more games like that one, it may be hard to get Gilmore back in the line-up.
  19. yeah that's true. We got to him last year though, Muamba made him cry with those forced fumbles and hits when he was scrambling. I still remember Muamba corking Burris a good one with a hard hit that he didn't like, and he got up in Muamba's face and you could tell he was crying about Muamba hitting him too hard. It's too bad Burris has that kind of personality, it's one of the reasons I can't stand him and don't want him on my team. I know he's got the tools to be a great one, but he's also a massive whiner who folds his tent and puts his toys away if he decides he doesn't want to play anymore.
  20. Yeah Hamilton's got crappy receivers. We should definitely double-team Giguere all night. And no Rod Black, that doesn't mean what you think it means.
  21. That play where Buck was intercepted was a classic example. Buck had locked onto his receiver, and even with a DB waving his arms in his face, Buck still tried to make the throw. He couldn't just pull the ball down and run, or take a sack, he tried to thread the needle through the waving arms because he couldn't process what was going on. I'm a big fan of Buck's, but even I can see the signs that he isn't 100% in the head anymore.
  22. I watched a bit of the last night's game again this morning, specifically paying attention to AC, and something was definitely bothering AC, and it wasn't just our defence. He was pissed off almost from the first series, and kept looking at the bench and raising his hands in frustration. This happened almost every time they failed to convert on second down. I know our defence was great, but it was almost like Calvillo and his OC were feuding before the game even started, and AC already knew in advance that their game plan was ****.
  23. Yeah Pierce to Pierce! That would be awesome! Hank Burris is a lot like Glenn, you get to him early and hit him a few times, and he goes into his cry-baby mode and his game goes to pieces. If he gets into a rhythm though he's deadly. One of the best. I hope Edmonton somehow lays some hurt on him this week. Their offence is atrocious, but at least the defence should show something, I hope.
