  1. The funniest part to me is that he once again failed to get the QB he was after. Coffee is for closers, and Mack didn't close when it really mattered. Joe Mack is the Shelley Levene of general managers....
  2. I didn't fill in my TPS reports today....sorry.
  3. I guess I jumped the gun. Sorry guys!
  4. AINEC. Seriously anyone taking any qb over Ray is an idiot let alone one who hasn't done anything in the league yet. I beg to disagree. Steven Jyles is one hell of a QB. - Eric Tillman
  5. Scott Billeck ‏@ScottBilleck17m Bombers PR saying that head coach Tim Burke will address why Chad Simpson and Cory Watson are not practising today. #Bombers
  6. If Pencer goes to tackle and gets hurt half way through, then who backs him up? I don't know, just asking the question. I do agree that I'd like to see him at tackle. I think if Swiston hadn't gotten hurt we'd have seen at least one of them starting this week at tackle, something I've wanted to see all year.
  7. Yeah but are you going to hire a new head coach based on an ultimatum that he keeps the current ST Coordinator? If the new head coach is his brother, then he should be ok with it.
  8. oh the relief I feel reading Buck Pierce jokes and it not being also a joke on the Bombers for a change....
  9. People had input .. whether or not it was listened to is another matter entirely. I questioned why we didn't draft any o-linemen this year. I was told there weren't any worth drafting.
  10. If they can get Dickenson out of Calgary, I'd have Burke's office packed up while he was on the sidelines of the November 2nd game and have everything waiting by his car in the parking lot. I'd give Dickenson a blank cheque and ask him to write in whatever number it took to get him here. LOL. Yeah in the CFL you can do that all right....Dickenson would write in a number, then Walters and Miller would look at it, say "We'll be right back" and you'd hear a door slam followed by squealing tire sounds al a the Simpsons.
  11. Shannon Boatman looking in great shape. Things that would be more effective at tackle than Shannon Boatman:
  12. Does that not mean that we have to start him this week then?
  13. If he signs Brink next week after Buck gets hurt in the Rider game, then I would officially call the men in white to take Wally away to a padded cell somewhere.
  14. I just can't see that happening, unless we play that soft zone defence where everyone is open all of the time, and Buck is given 5 steamboats to throw. Then it could happen.
  15. Big spender there Iso!
  16. If they can get Dickenson out of Calgary, I'd have Burke's office packed up while he was on the sidelines of the November 2nd game and have everything waiting by his car in the parking lot.

  18. So then find someone else to play the position - a healthy Boatman isn't exactly shooting out the lights either.
  19. The Reinders family is loaded - they run the giant engineering firm "Maple Reinders". I know a guy here in Kelowna who works for them, who told me that Joel's dad is one of the main guys there. Maybe he'll just settle for a desk job working for dad in Toronto paying him three times what he'd make as an OL in the CFL. http://www.maple.ca/
  20. I will laugh if Buck takes the field next week for BC and does his deer in headlights impression.
  21. LOL at 17to85 still sticking to his guns re Elliott. LOL at people saying that Reilly wasn't a gamble. He was a gamble. All QB's with his level of experience are a gamble. That's life in the CFL. Good for Edmonton it worked out for them. I think for two years, Wally should be hired by the CFL with a sole mission to seed at least two good QB's on each team. Since he is apparently the only one who knows how to find good QB's in this league, it's high time that for the betterment of the league, he find the talent necessary. Especially for Winnipeg. We've suffered long enough. I do agree with 17 on one point - Reilly probably would have crapped the bed in Winnipeg, with our garbage O-line and brain-dead playbook. He definitely made the better choice going to Edmonton.
  22. ha ha well I don't recall saying that Reilly sucked, but I did point out reality, and that was that the sample size on Reilly was incredibly small, and that making him the starter before training camp was a huge gamble. It has paid off now as Reilly has performed, despite playing behind the second crappiest o-line in the league and taking a pounding that no regular human being would have survived. So congrats on the call that Reilly was going to be awesome. I guess some of us just want to wait and see before we proclaim him the next Tom Clements. Now we have seen, and we believe. I just want to know how much longer Reilly is going to make it this year. He took yet another vicious pounding yesterday.
