AC to retire
I had Flutie flashbacks yesterday during the Seahawks game on that bomb that Russell Wilson threw to Baldwin, where he ran around dodging D linemen and then found Baldwin alone for 51 yards. Wilson does that kind of thing a few times a game, but Flutie would do that on almost every possession. It was nuts how accurate he was on the run, the guy was almost unstoppable. Dunigan in his younger years played like that too.

Here come the signings

Sounds like a good concept for a sitcom.- Bombers hire Queens DC Pat Tracey as Special Teams Coordinator
I thought Flutie was pulling in around $500K or more in his hey-day, though I think he got stiffed by the Stamps when Ryckman didn't pay him. That was the year I almost ran over Flutie with my car in the University of Calgary parking lot. Ah good times...good times... Actually Doug's highest salary was a million when he played for the stamps. I think that was for his second or third year. Flutie had a personal services contact with Larry Ryckman on top of his CFL contract with the Stamps. Something like $250,000 from the team & Larry was supposed to pay him $750,000 himself. As it turned out, Ryckman stiffed Flutie & he never saw a cent of the money. Ryckman stiffed a lot of people & got into trouble with the AB Securities Commission in the mid to late 90's & left for AZ where he still is today from what I understand. I still remember the story about Ryckman taking the Stamps out for dinner after the 1992 Grey Cup and telling the players to eat whatever they wanted. Then the bill came and Larry's credit card was rejected, so the players had to pay for the dinner. I believe Flutie ended up paying for it in the end. What a joke. Calgary really went through some dark times back then as a franchise, good to see them now in strong hands with good management.- AC to retire
I shudder to think how many Cups the Eskimos would have won if Moon had stayed in the CFL.- AC to retire
Friday July 22, 2005. I was at that game. Bombers won 51-45. Charles Roberts had 195 yards rushing and two TD's. The Als just couldn't stop him. Great game. Milt had a TD as well. Kamau had one catch for 11 yards.- Pascucci: Gary Etcheverry Bombers new DC
so has this hiring been confirmed yet? Or are we waiting to see if we can get the guy the Bears fired? EDIT - Tibesar. The name just escaped me.- Bombers Sign Three Non-Imports
http://m.cfl.ca/video/63487 Like JB's speed - nice moves on those last two catches. I have no doubt that Walters had his eye on this kid but was over-ruled by Mack at draft time.- Bombers Sign Three Non-Imports
Taylor Renaud is coming back for another kick at the can? Hmmmm. I am interested to see what Brescacin can bring, he may surprise.- Stamps extend Tate and Mitchell
Tom Porras could have started on the 2013 Bombers.- Stamps extend Tate and Mitchell
I believe 2014 will be the year of the emergence of BLM. Could be MOP even. Calling it now.- AC to retire
Hell yeah it was!! Oh wait, you said Posse...never mind- Bombers hire Queens DC Pat Tracey as Special Teams Coordinator

Yeah Hank will find a home somewhere, but it will depend on whether he is comfortable sitting behind a younger QB who a team wants to develop. If his massive ego can take that, then he'll be fine. He'll still be raking in $250K or so, can buy a lot of women's undergarments with that. Speaking of inflation - I was watching the 1984 Grey Cup and the announcers were saying that Dieter Brock had turned down $250K a year with the Ti-Cats to make the jump to the NFL, where he was thinking he'd get more than that. $250K in 1984 - QB salaries haven't really gone up much in 30 years.- Stamps extend Tate and Mitchell
maybe now Tate can afford a decent barber...- BMO field possibly being upgraded
maybe if oil goes to $130 a barrel....- Bombers hire Queens DC Pat Tracey as Special Teams Coordinator
I don't see Hank taking a back-up role, and it's time to give Collaros a shot at starting, especially if we give him starter money to come over here.- Bombers hire Queens DC Pat Tracey as Special Teams Coordinator
and I wish them all the best in that. That being said, if we go with Willy and/or Collaros are we really that much more ahead in terms of experience? I guess we'll see. I'd rather have Collaros right now than Lefevour.- NFL tryouts
I wish Henoc all the best with his NFL try-outs. If he leaves it's not the end of the world. It would force us to go at least 4 NI's on the O-Line and to build Canadian depth at the tackle position. If we find a decent import middle LB I don't see much of a downgrade at the position. I wouldn't want to hold Henoc back either. That being said, he jumps ship to another CFL team I'll be unhappy. Sometimes **** happens though, look at Fantuz, and of course Labatte.- CFL Stuff..
Rumour is that the Ti-Cats cut Stala to make room for Rocky DiPietro's big comeback.- Miles or Marshall...
I was watching the Broncos game via a stream from Sky Sports and they had Reinebold on as an analyst, for reasons unknown. They started talking about coaching positions currently available, and when asked if he had ever made a bad decision, Reinebold didn't hesitate. "Winnipeg". - NFL tryouts
