I thought I remembered that they pulled a DL to play guard and Oost came in to play on the D line....ineffectively rushing and easily being blocked.

yes still remember how we'd start Matt Sheridan and three plays in he'd be lying on the field grasping his leg/groin/whatever and be out of the game already, and I'd just be like "can't we find someone who doesn't get hurt every game to play on the OL?"
Or have 2 OL go down and Oosterhois goes in at guard. But the beer sure was cold...

Our recent OLs have been incredibly durable, especially the tackles

What exactly is there to be gained from roasting Kelly on here? Trotting out harassment stats? It's not our problem to solve. And even if it were, we sure as cuss would not be doing it here.

(and with 21 DBs under contract according to our roster page, I guess I'll give up hope on re-signing Robertson Daniel now)
It's the Argo way. Not sure what you're scouts eat for breakfast...but I could do with some of it

Wheb you drive through tiny towns in very rural South Dakota - they'll have a school with a football stadium.

No kidding. And coaching is not done by volunteer teachers down there.

Actually the harassment alone could net him a summary criminal conviction. Plus uttering threats (which he’s plead to before, said he was going to get his AK and spray this place up.) also making threats involving that type of assault can be grounds for a criminal conviction.
Imop it is not normally likely for those charges to be brought. BUT, due to his history and public standing a crown prosecutor could well choose to use him to send a message / make a name for them self. But until charges have been pressed...it's all just word salad.

Fine. I don't see any hyperbole in that post at all...but you're the boss. I feel there is nothing untrue or exaggerated in that post whatsoever. Can you at least point me in the direction of what your objection to it is?
The majority of Rider fans...
Most people prefer not to comment on stuff like this. Those who comment on a forum, will be in support of the team and the player. It's just the nature of fan forums. But that's not the majority of fans.

Yes exactly right. An organization can only do so much to control the behavior of their players, however, how they respond and react to that situation is 100% in their control. The Riders have been god awful in those situations and it may hurt some sensibilities around here, but the vast majority of their fan base was totally on board the whole time.
Look - if you're going to keep posting this stuff - keep the hyperbole out of it. Or don't post.

Complainants are not entitled to a presumption of truth.
The system is actually in place to allow for presumption of innocence and places a burden of proof on the accuser. I agree that naming the alleged victim can lead to pre-judgment and shaming, but naming a potential accused does the same thing (as some of the comments here have already demonstrated).
Reverse onus.

1 - Yes but in the context of tourism and attracting people, extremely poor ticket sales is an indicator that it is not bringing in tourists. So it is a complete failure in that regards and in the context of "profitability" it's an even bigger failure. I didn't even go into the scandals within the museum and the racism issues it has experienced within. In all facets this museum is a huge fail.
2 - I pointed this out earlier.
1. The primary function of any museum is to preserve heritage and educate the public. Expecting a high degree of economic impact through tourism, is a recent shift and actually a fairly new idea.
2. You pointed out government subsidy as if it were a negative. It's the norm for any museum - they all get subsidies. That's why I could rent two rooms at the MB. museum this past Friday, and also have my students complete a scavenger hunt of the galleries, all for $13 per student, plus 5 free chaperones. We were at the museum from 9:30 - 3:00; per hour, per student, that's ridiculously low, and I greatly appreciate it.

How about the source being the official CMHR year end report of the financials and futures.
I read those too - you're referring to them without the proper context
1. All Canadian museums operate as non-profit organizations
2. Most Canadian museums are primarily funded by both governments and foundations

Yes but the goal for a museum is to bring in tourists. Get people from outside of Winnipeg to spend money in Winnipeg.
The Calgary Stampede attracts people from around the world... they inject money into the local economy. The CMHR doesn't do this at all.
I'm assuming the Fed Gov't covers the losses every year so thankfully it doesn't fully burn the local economy.
The article you posted indicates that they achieved over 90% of their paid attendance target.
-
In the years before Covid, there were several organizations that sponsored the attendance of schools at the Manitoba Museum. It was not free, the museum was still getting paid. This is a fact - I take my grade 11 group to the museum every year.
11 minutes ago, Brandon said:So once again... I stand by what I say because I know I am right. Numbers do not lie.
No, they don't. Achieving 94 000 paid attendance when you're target is 100 000, is actually pretty good.
