  1. Ottawa is just a bad football team.
  2. The 7-11 guy turns Raj's hatred of dumb white guys into a terrorist calling & he joins ISIS. Stealing his lunch & mocking him was the final straw.
  3. Don't know where else to put this buuut... https://www.nj.com/jets/2019/08/colts-andrew-luck-retires-in-all-time-nfl-stunner-why-is-he-calling-it-quits-now.html
  4. What time does the game start in Hamilton? Like 10 pm?
  5. Is this finally the end of the road for Davis? Gawd, I hope so. Million dollar body. Ten cent head.
  6. Option offenses don't really work in the pros like the CFL or NFL. Defensive players are quicker & much more disciplined than their college counterparts. So, it's harder to grind it out on the ground over an entire game running while giving up the pass. Also, late in games if a comeback is needed it isn't a quick strike offense like we saw with that 75 yard bomb Harris threw late in the game against us. If anything, the option will take time off the clock when offensive teams need every second. The other thing, it's a physical offense. Not just for the defense that has to face it but for the offense as well. I doubt a team could run a true option offense for an entire season against CFL defenses. There might not be many players left standing.
  7. Teams are generally a reflection of their HC as he sets the bar. Mt Maas always has an eruption on the sidelines. Nothing will change until he leaves. The guy is a real good OC but as a HC he leaves a lot to be desired. From his wacked behaviour on the sidelines to questionable strategy that costs his team wins.
  8. Davis is what we have always known. Has a brick between the ears.
  9. That's my worry as well. If defenses nullify his running ability & force him to throw the ball if he doesn't improve we're hooped.
  10. Yeah, I remember some fans used to complain about him. That he was boring. He was always prepared, though. He's missed.
  11. Our DL never gets the credit it deserves, it's always about Edmonton. Or the Riders. Or Ti Cats. About time TSN recognized what our Front 4 can do. Harris was harassed & harried. He had to throw the ball early before he wanted to. There were a ton of hurries last night.
  12. Riders are always tough at home on Labour Day Sunday. Their fans pump them up. We usually get the better of them in the Banjo Bowl. Our fans pump us up.
  13. He was on fire tonight. And to think a year ago we all hated him.
  14. 1. Willie Jefferson. Beast Mode. 2. Andrew Harris/Chris Streveler. Two headed monster the vaunted Esks D had no answer for. 3, Drake Nevis. Inside run stopper extraordinaire. HH: Trevor Harris throws for over 400 yards & does what he always does. Loses. LOL. Thanks Trev.
  15. Then there's the other Harris who routinely lights it up throwing the ball but loses. They have the receivers, the OL & running back yet Harris can't deliver.
  16. I know because Desjarlais played like **** & really shouldn't be starting but still he isn't going thru his reads. If his first read isn't there he takes off.
  17. Streveler has one thing going for him compared to Tebow. He has better throwing mechanics. Tebow had the big windup which is of course slower getting rid of the ball & it affected his accuracy. Streveler has a much more compact delivery. The ball stays near his ear & he gets rid of it quickly. Accuracy is an issue but that can be improved. His footwork probably needs work.
  18. Streveler has to learn to pass from the pocket. Not on every play but he does have to learn to stand in there & go thru his reads. Dieter Brock came to the Bombers with a strong arm & nothing else. He could run as he was athletic but he struggled throwing the ball. Head Coach Bud Reilly turned him into a roll out passer where he only had to read one side of the field & he routinely threw for 3,000 yards. When Ray Jauch got here he helped Brock throw from the pocket & progress thru his reads. He went from a 3,000 yard passer to a qb who could throw for 4000 to almost 5,000 yards a season. Streveler will need time to develop into a complete qb. The guy has a strong arm like Brock. But is LaPo the guy to teach him?
  19. If we had just an average CFL passing offense with our D & Specials we would probably go 16-2 or 17-1 & be multiple Grey Cup winners.
  20. Cardinals Jim Hart was one of my favourite qbs back in the day.
  21. We won like we usually did. Specials & defense. Jefferson stepped up big time today. Rios with the athletic pick 6 & the goat on that late 4th quarter 75 yard bomb. Streveler can run but every pass he throws is an adventure. At some point the defenses in this league will take away or reduce his effectiveness running so he has to show improvement in the passing game. Desjarlais was brutal tonight. A power puff blocker. Where the **** is Neufeld?
  22. Why do they have to call Sanchez "Chez"? Damned annoying. TSN amateur hour.
