  1. You should read what Jordan Reaves is saying about Harris on twitter.
  2. Let the teen with the earphones, backwards baseball cap & pants halfway down his ass goes thru but test the 75 year old senior in the walker as she looks suspicious. #randomtesting
  3. TSN went to great pains to tell us that the Maritimes are a football hotbed. That there are lots of high school & college teams in the area. Well then, they should have busted the doors down to show how much of a hotbed it really is. This was a chance for the Maritimes to showcase just how much they want the CFL to locate there. fFans had one job. To show up, sell out the game & show enthusiasm for the CFL in Halifax. Instead we saw lots of empty seats in a 10,000 seat stadium with excuses about prices & starting times. Eight years ago this game attracted 20,000 fans. Now, with an actual team on the line they don't even get half? They will never, ever see that level of football out there without a team & the fans stayed away, I think it does tell us just how little support a team in Halifax would get. And hw much of a fiasco it would be to put a team there.
  4. The CFL is a passing league & has been since the 70's. We are a throwback team in a lot of ways. Yes, we are run first but our first choice when qbs make their read is a check down to Harris at the expense of our receiving corps. Harris is a special back but we still rely on him too much in comparison to what other teams do offensively. I think that needs to change.
  5. Be interesting to see what happens with him. My premise that we have an unbalanced offense still stands & needs to be changed still stands.
  6. Oh yes, forgot about Santiago. Can he actually play?
  7. Losing Harris shows how badly imbalanced our offense is. Why we need to make a change in philosophy. Or get a new OC. We are in no position to replace Harris with an American tailback to at least give us a chance to be competitive in this game. We rely too much on one player.... Harris to make plays. He's 65% of our offense. Now that he's gone we really are in trouble offensively with a qb who can run but has trouble passing. We need to get some balance back in our offensive attack . We also need to carry one American running back on our PR. * The RPO has been taken away from Streveler with Harris' suspension. This is a hard lesson to learn in every aspect. From Harris who cheated & got caught to having a totally unbalanced offense that relies too much on one player. *Forgot Santiago was on the PR.
  8. Turning a negative into a HUGE positive. Well done.
  9. Exactly. The tickets weren't overpriced. They should have packed the place.
  10. An Albertan who grew up in Winnipeg. Sure. all we need is another welfare team propped up by the others just because Randy Ambrosie wants a team there. Every Commissioner since Jake Gaudaur wanted a team in the Maritimes & it never happened. Everything Ambrosie touches turns to lead.
  11. Bottom line is Maritimers could have a great thing going but they choose not to embrace it. We have friends in rural Nova Scotia. They make regular trips to see the New England Patriots. Their son & daughter in law live in Boston. They feel nothing for the CFL. That seems to be the way a lot of people feel out there.
  12. Well, if they want a team then they should have embraced this game. They didn't. Now the stadium issue is a problem. Time for the ownership group to walk away. Remember how fans in Winnipeg reacted when fans had to pony up for season tickets? There was absolutely no doubt that Winnipeg wanted the NHL back. The Maritimes can continue being the back water of Canada.
  13. Back then, late 60's....??? Namath, Tarkenton (Giants) Unitas, Meredith, Starr, Kapp, Gabriel, Hart, Brodie, Dawson. Those were the guys I liked watching on tv. We got one or 2 games a week up here back then on CBC TV. But not until after the Grey Cup was played.
  14. Giving a team to the Maritimes is a huge mistake. If they really wanted a team they'd have packed the park. They didn't. This whole thing is a joke. That's all the CFL needs is another team in constant financial crisis.
  15. Luck was booed off the field at halftime at Lucas Oil Stadium last night when word got out that he was retiring. Someone from the Colts organization (Irsay?) leaked the retirement to Jason La Canfora & he tweeted it immediately which Colts fans began learning about during the game. Angry Colts fans began taking off their Andrew Luck jerseys & started booing the guy. Luck was going to announce his retirement Sunday at a press conference in Indy but was forced to do it after the game. The man had an unfortunate series of injuries one right after the other & he just felt he couldn't go on with the pain anymore so he decided to retire. I never criticize an athlete for any decision he/she makes when it comes to injuries. They have a right to choose their own destiny & happiness in life so the booing last night was really sad.
  16. Which week? It's like a revolving door.
  17. For sports I love the Mountain Time Zone. The Ti Cat game starts at 8:10 pm. Most sporting events like football & hockey ends by 11 pm.
