No, we don't. Everyone is blaming "Winnipeg" but it has nothing to do with us.

That promoter better not show his face in Winnipeg again.

Everywhere I read (including multiple US media outlets) blamed the low ticket sales and fan interest on the promoter and high ticket prices, not the city itself. Maybe there are some who will blame the field on Winnipeg but any educated person will realize it's due to the goalposts.

Overall, it was a horribly planned event. All the talk of pre-game festivals and making it an "event" was just hot air and despite a promise that the starters would play, the only ones who did were the kickers. The NFL and NFLPA signed off on the field yesterday and this still happened. I'm not surprised the Packers balked at it though, even if the Raiders didn't, the Raiders weren't planning on playing starters and the Packers were.

thats was when he had 3 legit threats at receiver to throw to...so you had to pick your poison in coverage...he doesn't have that now...we pay a lil extra attention to Burnham...have the D-line keep Reilly unsettled and pop him every chance they get..I see us strolling to an easy win to be honest

I was just going to add this as well. Duke Williams isn't coming out of the tunnel tonight to help him out, no Zylstra, no Derel Walker. It's Burnham, the decaying, fly-infested corpse of Duron Carter and that's it. I used to be terrified of Reilly because as @Noeller and @do or die said he always seemed to bang us on the 50/50 balls but I don't see that tonight. Even in game 1, a ton of his yardage was 2 throws to Burnham where we brutally missed tackles and then spent 50 yards trying to strip the ball instead of form tackle.

Lions line is not 'garbage' anymore...  the glaring weakness is Norman's snapping - even before last game...  Jefferson could have a big game if Reilly bobbles a couple times

BC defence still sucks.  Nichols has to capitalize on this...

Jefferson has been getting consistently better each week and I expect he will be making life miserable for Reilly and company tomorrow night. Add in Nevis, Fatboi Thomas and Tank Richardson in the middle collapsing the pocket and I think Winston Rose and Marcus Sayles will get their opportunities to pad the stats

You are assuming that this is binary choice: either O'Shea and status quo or back to the dark ages. There are probably several choices in between or even better than the current regime. Khari seems to have turned the Als' season around and the Riders are arguably little worse for Chris Jones' departure.

That's true, although they currently sit a little south of us in the standings. I'm not buying MTL or SSK stock with their QB situations, let's see how good the coaching is if/when the young QB's hit a rough patch.

As has been bandied about in this forum before, one of O'Shea's features is his rigid loyalty to "his" players and that is likely to get him fired along with his people that he has defended.

I don't think O'Shea is in much danger of being fired anytime soon. There are things I wish he did differently but I'm in no rush to go back to the way things were before he (along with Miller/Walters) got here.

I might be letting my Lawler fan card speak for me but I think he's a starting receiver for the rest of the year. Whitehead to be more of a utility guy/returner when the dust settles. Still very much utilized tho

Probably depends on how Matthews does over the next few weeks as well. If he struggles, I can see Lawler staying in the lineup when Adams is back. Of course, all of this is based on what we have seen over the last 3 weeks. It's entirely possible he vanishes after a few good games like a lot of import receivers have.

With Adams on the shelf, Lawler has 6-games to prove himself. Bailey should get a real shot too!

At the very least, even if Matthews balls out the next few weeks with Adams out it will be nice to know where we stand with depth in the receiver corps. As the season goes on, we will likely need to rely on guys like Lawler/Bailey at some point.

Again, it's just my own personal thing, but I feel like those who are STRICTLY CFL/CIS are more hardcore than those who are just football fans, and will watch all football, regardless. I am perfectly fine with being seen as crazy on this (I'm used to it) but it's 100% how I feel...

All good - I was just genuinely curious to what your viewpoint was on it. We will agree to disagree on the definition of diehard/hardcore CFL fan but I see where you are coming from. For me, whatever I can do to fill my time with more football is time well spent.

And I won't call you crazy, I'll leave that determination up to you (and any voices in your head)😀

Just my own personal thing, but I disagree with this...

Just curious as to why you think that is? I don't think being a CFL fan should preclude you from liking the NFL or vice versa. I've been a die-hard Bomber/CFL fan since I was a kid and feel the same way about the NFL despite the differences between the leagues. I understand having a preference between leagues but I don't see it as some form of treason to the CFL because I like the NFL.

Funny, me too... I jumped on the band wagon as a youngster watching the Warner-Faulk greatest show on turf.... the last few years I've been torn... they're finally good again, which is great... but I hate cheering for a team in a major market (and yes, I realize they were originally from LA)...

Those GSOT years were great, I still might have a Faulk jersey in my closet somewhere. I actually don't mind them moving to LA (more games on prime time/attractive to FA's/new stadium)

I get if people don't like the NFL for whatever reason.

I just don't get people who hate the fact people do like it.

Exactly. It doesn't make you less of a CFL fan to like the NFL as well. Hell I watched an AAF game earlier this year because I wasn't ready for football season to end.

The NFL saves me from the drudgery of a January-February NHL schedule. I've been a Rams fan since 1999 so it's been a long time since the NFL has been fun for me to watch from a fan standpoint but the explosion of fantasy football is why so many people latch on to the NFL.

I don't know why he has to say "And he will score!!...No, he is caught at the 10"

My take is that he's always fishing for some sort of signature call (i.e. Golden goal, Do you believe in miracles etc.) that he tries to oversell what is happening at the time. I hate it when we will throw a screen pass and that side of the field is out of camera view, Roddy gets all excited (screen pass to Harris - LOOK OUT!) and it gets blown up for a 2 yard gain or something. Stop winding me up for what I think is going to be a big play and it turns out to be a nothingburger.

That's why he blows and Cuthbert is the best.

I really miss the CBC days when Mark Lee was doing games. I wish there was a way TSN could pry him away from CBC so he could do the games Cuthbert doesn't do.

One of the plays I vividly remember him calling was the 2004 playoff game between BC and the Riders. Elijah Thurmon caught a late game TD and his dramatic call was great.

Going to disagree on Mark Lee here, although my issues with him were more on the hockey side than football.

Cuthbert is the best there is and second isn't close and it sure as hell ain't Rod Black.

Just curious, who else here can’t stand to see “Dirty” Davis Sanchez involved on the panel?

When that dude was playing, he took arrogant to a new level. Dirty hits, bad attitude.

In fact, I’m always hoping for Stegall to shut his mouth and mention how he hit with the intent to injure.

Thankfully, we don’t have Jock (God’s gift to everything”) Climie on the panel anymore.

    What happened to Shultz?

I’m ok with Cuthbert and Ford, Dunnigan of course calling the game.

Suitor seems to be have a man-crush on whomever the bombers are playing, or is it just me? Has he ever explained his famous "oh NO!" when Stegall Made "The Catch"?

I think the "oh no" probably stems from his history as a safety and the miracle that ensued.
