That's what I think it looks like.

That defense of EDM doesn't look impressive at all...even with a Rookie at QB i can see several areas we can exploit...Hoover at DB should get eaten up by our wideouts and I can see Harris/Augustine/Demski really casuing trouble in the middle/flats....much like Harris did last year

If we can keep Reilly unsettled...I actually see a pretty easy win here

    Are you saying Hoover......sucks?

    I'll show myself out.

I wouldn't trade anything for anyone period...there's nobody out there with any upside greater than what we have in house....and really so what about no cfl game experience....I guess you will get it on the fly and rely on your coaches and talent around you and don't try and be a hero....season is far from lost if Nichols is down for significant time...or all year.

We are strong everywhere else this year it appears, and we just need our QB to manage the game...worst case I see it...we battle for the crossover....

Also if a tear...and depending on the severity...you could still conceivably play with a brace..been done too many times to mention...

I envy your optimism and sure as hell hope that Streveler (or Ross or whoever takes snaps) succeeds but we aren't that far removed from going through this when Willy went down before Nichols showed up and the results were awful. Overall our team is way better than it was a few years ago but I'm holding out hope that Nichols isn't out long term as this is a QB driven league.

It would have to be a pretty crazy salary for it to blow up the nucleus of the team.

Exactly. So as far as I'm concerned pay him whatever the **** you have to to solidify that MLB spot (with a national no less) and have JSK and Wild/rookie rotate in.

So what’s he worth?  I’d hate to see the wbb’s pay too much for him and you’d think he’d learn. When you’re overpaid you usually get released after 1 season.  Accept a more cap friendly contract and you might stay on the same team for a couple of seasons or more.

    He obviously over values himself.

Would we be happy if they signed him for $200,000? I wouldn’t.

I don't think it's over-valuing yourself if people keep paying him. It might be more that he is content being a mercenary who can make as much as he can with no regard for team loyalty, which I can't really blame him for. Make your $$ while you can.

As far as his cost, as long as the number they pay him fits into what the Bombers feel they can do comfortably then I don't really care what they pay him. Walters knows what his budget is and I trust that he won't blow up the nucleus of a really good team for one year of Henoc Muamba.

Just doubling back on this. Finally had a chance to listen to the whole thing this afternoon and again it was really well done. Some great comments from MOS, Lapo, Buck and DB97, I thought. Bob talking CFL with people is something I will always love listening to. You get so many CFL voices that legitimately believe they're celebrities (not just Rod P... There are a few...) and when Chandler Fenner tells Bob it's an honour to talk to him because he s a living legend, Bob is legit embarrassed and doesn't even wanna further that idea. We are so blessed to have Knucks, I'll tell you what...

That Fenner comment also shows me the kind of guy he is, what a great pickup both on and off the field.

as it sits they have lost so far 3 on dline (steele..Leanard..Mraubre) and added one...pricey Evans

    O-line added Bond...lost Dennis..looking like Campbell...hardly beefing up

You could say they also added Hughes (not FA but splitting hairs) but I agree completely on the O-line. Right now they plan on playing Bond at tackle, who knows how that experiment will work? Is he mobile enough to play T?

Huge pick-up and multiple places he can play..Nice back-up plan too if Moe isn't ready to start right away...but almost certain he will be

This is what I was thinking as well. He slots right in at HB if Moe is healthy, and if (God forbid) he isn't or gets re-injured, we have a great internal replacement at SAM.

Westerman probably goes to Montreal because they will give him the most money. Heath could end up there also but... Seems like Montreal might be a bit blacklisted in terms of who will sign there but... Overpay significantly and players will. I see Kavis overpaying guys to come.

Not unlike what Walters had to do after the Joe Mack era here. I see a stark difference in the organizational structure between here and there though.

Hmmm. Seems to me Ambroise's move to take out contact during the season (practices) was done for the players, don't ya think?

But then as the article says, they are here for an extra week without pay so for guys who make near minimum they would probably sacrifice their health for another paycheck. NOt saying it's good for them in the long run but that seems to be the mentality.

The man is allergic to holes. He likes running directly into his blockers. That hasn't changed in the three years he's been sitting.

He's landed on the right team... he'll only be the second biggest, former-NFLer, bust this season in Regina.

If he is allergic to holes, the Sask o-line must be his epipen

People don't yell it because it would sound stupid and out of context. The "True North" chant works because it fits directly into the anthem and has a link to the team and the ownership who brought them back, so it carries over to other sporting events. The "BLUE" chant doesn't even fit the song. But it's meant to show support for our team, I guess, so the sentiment is good, even if the execution sounds ridiculous.

I would maybe agree with this sentiment if True North owned the Bombers, but they do not. It links to the Jets (and I guess the Moose, but no one was chanting true north during the years 1997-2010). The only link between the two teams is the city they play in so any homage to ownership doesn't make sense to me.

If I'm being completely honest, just get rid of the anthem in sports altogether. (But I don't have the time or energy to get into that argument)
