Punched him in the face after a game last season. Led to a locker room confrontation for both teams and Judge got suspended for a game because of it.

I forgot about that incident and didn't realize it was Judge.

I don't know what precipitated it and I wouldn't want to excuse it in any way.  I would say though that it appears to have been a one time thing with Judge, versus Awe doing his shenanigans game in and game out.  One of the most egregious things that he does that really bothers me is when a team is taking a knee, he runs in hard as if he's going to try and get a sack on the QB which I think is totally uncalled for.

What do you guys think of Cameron Judge not being named to the Western Division All Star team at OLB? He had 90 plus tackles, 5 interceptions with 1 pick six, 2 fumble recoveries, 2 forced fumbled & 2 sacks. Yet he never made it so to me that makes no sense.

Judge is a player who plays on the edge & can be dirty at times. However, the talent can't be denied. It was an obvious snub. Was it his style of play that kept him off the team? If so, then what about Michael Awe? Or were his tackle numbers so impressive that there's no way he could have been kept off the team?? Judge should have been on the West All Stars & not Sean McEwen. Sean ******* McEwen???? WTF??

Judge is an excellent LB and definitely should have been in the running for an all star spot.  I would take him on my team before Awe every day of the week.  I don't feel like he does the dirty, after the whistle stuff like Awe does.

Halloween was chilly over here after about an hour outside but managed , kid got herself a ton. Not as many out this year it seemed, atleast in this area here

Yeah, lower turnout in my area this year (South St. Vital).  We had 46 where we usually have around 90.

it seems closer...only tho that 3 of their trips were out west are signifiant...key word....3...so its skewwed a bit...all the ham...ott....Mtl games tho....hardly a trip

I don't disagree with you... Those short trips, especially the Hamilton games, are not plane rides which is a huge advantage.

Average distance per trip falls out like this:
    Toronto: 1174
    Hamilton: 1233
    Winnipeg: 1288
    Saskatchewan: 1438
    Ottawa: 1440
    Edmonton: 1463
    Montreal: 1498
    Calgary: 1651
    BC: 1978

And yes, I did factor in TD Atlantic this time.

Did you include the Atlantic game?

I didn't (totally forgot about it), that would have actually added to Toronto's total because that was technically a home game for them so counted as 0km, and just would have added to Saskatchewan's distance.  It actually makes the travel distance even less lopsided than I would have expected for Toronto.

    Added it above now.

yup yu can only beat who you face....that being said...BC 2x..Wpg 2x...Ham and Ott not 4 times....would be a totally different result, and having to take an actual road trip too would also factor in...their travel this yr for distance was a complete joke too....

This comment got me curious, so I did a very quick and dirty calculation on the travel for each team this year (regular season only).  I factored in the distance (as the crow flies) from home stadium to away stadium.  The distance travelled is quite a bit closer than I would have expected.  By the nature of where they are, BC's extra travel isn't all that surprising, the closest stadium for them is Calgary at 672km, while Toronto has 3 stadiums closer than that.

As pointed out by JCon and Bluto, I missed the TD Atlantic game.  This adds travel for Toronto and Sask, putting Toronto's total up to the 3rd least travel by distance.

    Toronto: 10,472 km 11,742 km

    Hamilton: 11,097 km

    Winnipeg: 11,5879 km

    Saskatchewan: 11,876 km 12,943 km

    Ottawa: 12,956 km

    Edmonton: 13,165 km

    Montreal: 13,482 km

    Calgary: 14,860 km

    BC: 17,803 km

the point is that if Hodge says something, you can probably take the exact opposite to the bank....

I thought BLM looked like absolute hot steaming garbage in that game. His throwing shoulder is toast.

I thought his throws looked a lot crisper than they did last year or earlier this year in the few games that he played.  He had a lot of passes literally bounce off the receivers' hands that really should have been caught.  Had they been, I think they would have been Montreal on Saturday.  Having Tim White back this weekend, I expect that he will be more reliable and will give Hamilton a better chance to win the ESF.

I kinda see an upset brewing in bc too.
Montreal Hamilton is gonna be a game.

I picked the visitors in both games this weekend.

As much as Calgary's offence has sputtered, they pulled out that win in BC 2 weeks ago and I think they can do it again.

For Hamilton, I felt like Bo Levi Mitchell's throws were looking a lot more like the old Bo, but his receivers were letting him down.  I think with Tim White back in the lineup this week, Bo will have better support on the receiver side and that they will be able to pull off the upset in Montreal.

ahh yes....If Judge was nominated for that and not that dirtbag Awe I would have liked to see him get it

On that note, I hate that Awe and Simoni Lawrence are the nominees from their respective teams.  I always hate how TSN pumps them up to be these great players when they both have a reputation of being dirty with garbage after the whistle.

Knowing he's well liked here but how the CFL media has propped him up this year, Betts gets it hands down.

And you just know CK has the inside track, barf.

What matters most is bring home the Cup where it belongs.

I feel like Betts slowed down a bit towards the end of the season.  As much as TSN made a big deal out of the plays he was making, I'm hopeful that the voters are a little more objective and see that Brady was consistent all year in what he was doing.  I'd say the same with Chad Kelley as he had a few down games where his D bailed him out.

Yes, just think of how much money they are saving on dental care.  They can easily afford to travel with that kind of cash!

Although it's been on the downswing the last few years, you'd be amazed at how many Rider shirts/hats you'll see when travelling.    I don't blame them for it though... if I lived there, I'd want to get away as much as possible too.

Lots of rich (but they'll tell you they barely survive) farmers out that way... and in rural Manitoba for that matter.  But the Saskatchewan farmers are all Rider fans and they show it when they travel.

  13. All I see with most people wearing smart watches is that they are constantly checking to see if they have reached their "steps" for the day or whatever notification that happens to be coming in.  I'm sure there are some conveniences that come with that, but I like to be able to put my phone down somewhere and walk away from it for a bit to get away from the barrage of information and notifications.

I don't need that extra stress in my life, so I don't think I will ever get a smart watch myself.

  14. One of my co-workers has spent the last few days in the hospital due to Covid (vaccinated and boosted).  Got it last week (tested negative until they tested him in the hospital) and lost almost 20 pounds over the weekend.  Doing better now though.

I will be getting every booster that comes out as soon as they are available.

Star Blanket W is awesome.  We all think it but it bears repeating.

Absolutely love the Star Blanket W... wish they would use that on the helmet all the time.  The orange jerseys with it on the front in the style of the blue alternates would be amazing as well.

Thanks guys. The email above made it sound like the Argos were wearing Orange jersey which were up for auction too. No such luck.

Maybe I'll bid on the Damian Jackson jersey and donate it to MBB if I win...

EDIT: seriously though, those orange Ts and Hoodies look cool. You guys should jump on those.

They've had the orange Ts and hoodies for a couple of years now... don't be surprised to see a good chunk of the crowd wearing them tonight, they do look great.

I don’t disagree. Darby played him self off the team not just out of the starting line up. Maybe he’s hurt or has some thing else going on.
Parker earned a look too though last year. I think Kramdi suffers more playing Sam than he would half. Might even be better off at S. he has a great knack at getting into a position to make a play. He struggles with making the play consistently. At Sam even half you need more the consistent play than the flashy big play. That’s kind of what Houston and ba have fallen in to. Selling out for picks and hits respectively.

Id much rather our ni db be ford, but if we want to grow with Kramdi as long as he keeps making progress it does make sense. Of course I’d rather go with an extra imp dt then start 8 nis.

Darby is definitely hurt... saw him walking around at the fan appreciation day and he had a very noticeable limp.  Not to say that he didn't also play himself out of the starting lineup as well, but he is hurt.

"We have zero technology as a species to bring Psyche back to Earth. And if we did, it would likely be a catastrophic mistake," Elkins-Tanton said.

"Let's say we were able to actually bring Psyche back. Then it would flood the metals market, and it would literally be worth nothing," she added. "So, calculating the value of it is a fun intellectual exercise with no truth to it. We are not going there to mine an asteroid."

This is the issue here... instead of mining the asteroid or bringing a good chunk back to solve the scarcity issue with metals and make it affordable for everyone... lets not try because... money. I wish a Billionaire philanthropist would go mine that asteroid and break the mineral market.

I feel like most resources mined in space will need to be processed in space and I'm not sure how much we would conceivably bring back down to Earth (until we have a space elevator anyway).  I feel like the cost of fuel to ferry a ship up and back, not to mention the weight of the returning ship would be somewhat inefficient.

From an environmental perspective though, I'm sure that mining an asteroid would be far more friendly to the Earth than the mines that we currently have.
