I was very confident he wasn’t going anywhere. Buck will be the Bombers next HC when the time comes.

Like Walters said in his press conference, the goal when he became GM was to have the same kind of continuity and success that Calgary was seeing at the time.  Huffnagel was coach with Dickensen in the wings... we have O'Shea as coach with Buck in the wings.

Love the continuity that should keep us rolling to more successful seasons.

Prolly similar to how most of us feel about friesen but more so.

Good hire for the riders, it’ll be interesting to see how he fairs.

At least Friesen is right once in a while... he can be obnoxious sometimes (alot of the time), but he's definitely not as bad as Ballsy.

That's not grinding tho. That's doing your job. If you are going 2 and out as you should, then your defence is fresh as a daisy all game long without needing a huge rotation and roster management is a moot point. That's what I'm getting at. The games we lost this year is because of one of two reasons, our offence was going 2 and out, and our defence was allowing long drives. Sometimes it was both. Did not having fresh bodies complicate things...yea....I have never suggested it didn't however only after we shat the bed.

You're kindof arguing your own point.  Because of roster management, ie. not having the best possible guys out there or on the roster to rotate in, they weren't able to get the 2 and outs earlier in the game and were worn out by the end.

The argument has always been that the roster management would cost us some games... as you point out in a later post, 5 out of 20 games sounds about right.

Btc is closing in on 40k already.  Up from 16k earlier this year because the sec keeps losing lawsuits against crypto and they’re being forced to start approving crypto etfs. Plus no more interest rate hikes.

Crypto and NFTs are all just a scam.  Do some people get rich with them, sure, because they are scamming gullible people into buying into them.

Put it towards moving the rail yards out the city and then... u can probably put a ton of housing there

Rarely to never use it... not in years.  It's not really necessary

I believe the estimate to move the rail yards was in the billions... I'm not sure how many, but it would take a lot to make that move happen.

So does that mean you are not going to see their next live action remake which stars a black Hercules :P

Let's be honest... Hercules should never have been white in the first place, just like Jesus isn't white.  Why is it a bad thing to allow representation in different forms.  The people getting upset about characters being more diverse are the white people who feel that they are "losing power" and "being replaced".

The complaint about anything being "woke" as a bad thing is absolutely ridiculous.

With the technology we have now, votes should be allowed to be changed & counted up to the day after the Divisional Finals. Not some archaic system that was in use in 1979 when results were telexed somewhere. Or relied on canada Post to get to where they were supposed to go. And reporters should be free to vote for their own team players they cover all season especially if they truly had outstanding seasons to balance off the douchebags in places like Saskatchewan who would rather die first than vote for a Blue Bomber. Congrats, Ballsy. You just celebrated your own personal Grey Cup voting for Kelly. The CFL is such a bush league sometimes.

The reporters are able to vote for their own team players.  The comment that DT made on WST about not getting to vote for the team award was about the initial round of voting where it was 4 members of the football reporters of Canada and the head coach in each market that puts players forward for consideration in each category.

media goes basically on stats for most part....and a lot of times the wrong ones, and CK ranked 3rd for a QB for the most part

I believe that Kelly won solely on his team's record... I would argue that they voted for him more as MVP rather than MOP, but I don't even think he was MVP on his team, I'd have given that to Leake for the great field position he provided for most of their games.

Says if he had a local vote for MOP, he would have gone Collaros over Brady........

........also says he didn't vote for Brady for West MOC.................................

Yeah, that was confusing... in one sentence he said that Betts had a fantastic season, and the next he talked about how he played a great first game against Winnipeg and then disappeared in the other 3... How can you compare Betts who disappeared for 3+ games to Brady who was outstanding in every single game.

I bet Kelly is so concussed he won't be able to make it to the stage to accept his award 🤣

Not to be insensitive towards a guy who may or may not have suffered an injury... it feels like this is an excuse for his poor play.  If nobody can figure out when he took a hit to the head that would cause a concussion, something just doesn't feel right about it.

so Proulx wasn't in the Top 11 rated officials??

TORONTO — A crew made up of the season’s 11 highest-rated Canadian Football League (CFL) officials will be taking the field for the 110th Grey Cup on Sunday, November 19 at Tim Hortons Field.

    110TH GREY CUP OFFICIATING CREW

    Referee | #74 | Tim Kroeker

    • 17th season | 271 games | 6th Grey Cup game, 1st at the Referee Position

    Umpire | #24 | Troy Semenchuk

    • 7th season | 117 games | 2nd Grey Cup game

    Down Judge | #27 | Andrew Wakefield

    • 9th season |135 games |3rd Grey Cup game

    Line Judge | #63 | Rob Hill

    • 18th season | 283 games | 5th Grey Cup game

    Side Judge | #18 | Pierre Laporte

    • 9th season | 157 games | 2nd Grey Cup game

    Back Judge | #59 | Larry Butler

    • 19th season | 306 games | 4th Grey Cup game

    Field Judge | #37 | Jason Maggio

    • 21st season | 354 games | 7th Grey Cup game

    Backup Referee | #60 | Tom Vallesi

    • 19th season | 322 games | 5th Grey Cup game

    Backup Official | #19 | Chris Shapka

    • 9th season | 153 games | 3rd Grey Cup game

    Backup Official | #40 | Kevin Riopel

    • 6th season | 61 games | 1st Grey Cup game

    Backup Official | #73 | Brian Chrupalo

    • 18th season | 296 games | 6th Grey Cup game

The crew will be supported by an off-field officiating staff:

    • Vice-President, Officiating – Darren Hackwood
    • Senior Manager, Football & Officiating Development – Laurence Pontbriand
    • Supervisor, Officiating – Don Cousens
    • Manager, Officiating & Replay Official – Al Bradbury
    • Video Official – Dave Foxcroft

I think there is some positional factors that come into play.  I don't think we will ever see Proulx as a line judge.  He was the Backup Referee in the Montreal-Toronto game.

The ratings are based on how they performed throughout the year, and it looks like Kroeker made less mistakes.  Perhaps Vallesi was better as well, or maybe Proulx declined the job for some other reasons.

I wonder if Kroeker is a Mennonite. Going to be suggestions of bias referring whether it was menno or frenchie.

Kroeker is from Saskatoon, so if there was going to be bias on his part, it wouldn't be for Winnipeg.  That being said, both are professionals and call a good game no matter who is playing.

Hopefully Walters turns up in Hamilton this week and gets some face time with media to clarify his situation.

I suspect that the only answer we would get is that they are focused on the Grey Cup and that they will sit down and talk once the season is over... pretty much the same as they did with O'Shea last year.

I do not know when they vote on MOP bur Brady vs Kelly is not leaving much room for favoritism after today's two games

Votes were submitted earlier this week so the decision has already been made.  Technically, the playoffs aren't supposed to dictate the winners of the awards, but I think we were shown who the true MOP is in the division finals.

did you notice the one shot of the crowd at the ESF...where they showed some douchebag pumping one of those....and field mic was pointed right at him...like a foot or so away??....Obviously the powers that be with the TSN production crew need one them horns rammed right up their corn holes....to allow such an nuisance....yet at Bomber home games basically turn the mic's off to minimize any crowd noise and totally take away from the actual game environment

Yeah, that guy was sitting right next to the guy in this pic.  I think it's this guy and his wife who are the usual suspects and they got a buddy to join them at that game.  Don't think I've ever seen anyone else in the crowd with those stupid horns.
