It’s for following the cfl for 40 years as a local reporter. So yes. Paul got paid to go to practices and not pay attention. If not, work ethic and always posting complete facts and never made up lunacy deserves a spot. Oh wait, same guy the Jets captain told to **** off. Yeah. Umm apparently anyone can be in the hall.

It's because he "asks the tough questions" or some BS like that.  Most of his questions are assinine as far as I'm concerned, but that's just me...

  2. Looks like I missed voting this week... I could have sworn that I had done it.

If I can still make picks for the two remaining games this week, I would go with Calgary and Hamilton.  I definitely would have picked Winnipeg and likely Montreal, but I missed the boat on those ones.

Does Sheehan kick fgs cuz having an American kicker actually appears to perhaps be an issue. Without Sergio you could dress person or whoever.

He said in his interview with Ed Tait last week that he spent some time in the offseason with a field goal kicking coach to get better at it so that he can be an effective backup FG kicker, but he said he doesn't have the range that Sergio does.

True, game day shows need to set a tone and entertain. If any thing have the schtick on that rather than the game day panel.
     can’t stand Kate.

I always found that Laura Diakun did a good job hosting the panel whenever she needed to fill in for Kate.  I think she would be a good replacement as long as she keeps doing what she's been doing and not try to change to match what Kate has been doing.

I'm more fascinated by the person who thought it was a good idea to make a visitors bench to small where their back-up goaltender can't sit with them so he basically sits with the home team crowd plus have the visitors team locker-room where the visitors have to cross the ice to get there. Brilliant.

I'm pretty sure they aren't the only arena with that setup, especially the visitor's locker room on the other side of the ice.

Who's a big Canadian Pop act right now? I legitimately have no idea... I know SOME of the new Canadian country acts (which do have a big following as that genre is popular right now) but I haven't known any Canadian Pop acts since Carly Rae Jepsen...

Tate McRae is the only one I am aware of.

I'm going through the other teams schedules and so far I've found we have by far the worst schedule in the West.  Aside from the byes being the shits, we are the only western team that has 2 short weeks (5 days between games in June & August).  FTR, Technically Calgary does too but their 1st short week is their 2nd pre-season game where most players are only playing a handful of snaps - they have one 5 day week in regular season.   The Riders have no 5 day short weeks at all and easily have the most balanced schedule I've seen.

Going to look at the East schedules later on and see what those look like.

Maybe the league is trying to help get a different team in to represent the West in the Grey Cup?

answering my own question.  Practice roster players make $750/week (before taxes) + housing allowance.  Housing allowance does not count against the salary cap.  As an annual wage that's $39K before taxes.

Canada computes the poverty line differently for different regions because cost of living differs between downtown Vancouver and rural Quebec.  It varies between $32K and $40K annually as of 2020.

So right away you've got 13 guys per team making wages that are right around the Canadian poverty line (without counting housing allowances, which I've got no insight into.)

Keeping in mind that it's for 6 months of work.
