With his injury, he is a year and a half into his career 2 years total. At this point, he is comparable to where Dobson was midway through his 3rd year. Dobson got a huge payday after that 3rd year here as well. If Wallace starts this year, someone is going to offer him easily 250k+ if not more, with what Canadians got this offseason. If he doesn't start, I think his FA floor will likely be 140-150k next year. For me, Id lock him up on that kind of money for 2 more years in a heartbeat. Dobson and Wallace are similar in terms of athleticism level, but are different types of athletes. Wallace's athleticism is much more useful at OL. Dobson is more twitchy, but gasses much more easily. Dobson also struggles to keep his power up when his weight is down closer to inline with what the CFL guards play at. This is why he dipped early from a record-setting mauler early in college to an inconsistent guy up here. He can't play that heavy, and he can't coast on a quarter of his snaps to recover. Especially when he played beside kola. Meanwhile, Wallace is the same road grader in the 4th quarter that he is in the first. It's nice to be able to blow through a DL with an explosive punch move, but its still great to be able to lock up and drive a guy out of the way. Wallace is better in space and pulling as well. I honestly don't know what to expect from us at OL. We are set up to roll extra Imps at OL, but this is a MOS team, and that does not fit his MO at all. I hate it, but I could very easily see us losing 1 or more of Vanterpool, Randolph, and some other really good young guys while we go with 3 Canadian starters and 1-2 Canadian back-ups. For me, as much as I like Wallace, he would be fighting for the C starting spot or the 6/7 ol spot. I do think Eli will be very hard to beat out of the C spot, Vibert is a good bit a head of Gabe as a C as well, and mos likes to carry 2 Cs on the AR. He also loves to carry 7 ol, but with MCI, schmekel and Clercius thats not nearly as needed. He's gotta have a great TC this year to get reps.
