Got two tickets to Touchdown Kelowna on June 27th which is my birthday. A friend of mine is a Stamps STH & since he was going with his 2 young sons, he got two tickets for my wife & I. That should be a fun weekend. We haven't been to Kelowna since 2017 when my son was an Asst Coach with the Okanagan Sun. Be interesting to attend one of these CFL niche games. More power to Lions owner Amar Doman for trying to grow the game in BC. Unlike that trash ownership in Toronto who do virtually nothing for the Argos in Southern Ontario.

I could care less about a Canadian QB and the incessant push for it...and why it even matters...there are elite Canadians all over the CFL who should get the promoting..and if not for NFL politics could play on an NFL roster over most teams back half roster..but never gonna happen The CFL media and fans should focus on best possible players period for Canadians and not push this stupid QB thing...cause in all honesty for every Rourke..which is historically rare and always will be...there's dozens of Shittier than Boltus Canadian QB's...and couldn't hold his jock. Media needs to let that one go He has raw skills...but at this point its all he has..and needs to develop it to see if he has any chance of being even moderately successful...doing the dance he is won't get that for him..and if he lands on a PR...even that won't...but on a roster here...getting some reps be it short yardage...special packages..whatever...gets you film..and eyes...look at Ford here...one game as a starter essentially got him a look...it wasn't his ST work as there are literally a 1000 Fords in the U.S with same or better skillset who can be teams guys...he showed something in his start and that alone was the bump he needed to get a shot...game film...Elgersma has none...and won't get any

They tried pretty hard to make that work later in 24 and earlier last season when the injuries started to hit. Can't win enough routes to bring value. The home game against Calgary was basically the end of that experiment. Hard to put guys inside that aren't a threat. He's been ok on the outside when he gets forgotten where he doesn't really have to win with leverage. Clercius might get a shot to be more of a vertical threat with Condell because IMO we don't really have anyone but Wilson who is in the current group. Kinda pissed we didn't grab Daniel Wiebe in the late rounds last season instead of drafting a DL who clearly wasn't invested in being a pro player. Will be great depth for Sask especially at Y/R slot spots, throw him out at Z if you need. Too bad Rohan Jones likely won't ever play up here. He's an actual tight end/H back type who is also a big threat from any receiver spot or the backfield.

no he doesn’t. watch him run routes, watch him run with the ball in his hands. Hes done a great job of putting up yac too. he only gets looks when cover is busted or completely off him. he can’t get open vs any cfl defender. People are soo quick to forget that clercius has caught 72 of 97 targets in his career. with 10.6 yards per catch, vs under 9 yards per for corcoran. Which is brutal. Take a look at how many wrs had under 9 ypc, and how many of them had good seasons. Over 50 guys, and one good season. Because it’s easy to catch em all, when you’re underneath the coverage and barely off the los.

Yeah, and I can’t see zach being that fragile. hes also a guy who has always tossed it up and hoped for the best. his touch hasn’t been the same for a couple years either clercius doesn’t seem to fit that either. this is a guy who stayed at his college despite them moving on to younger guys because he was way off their time line to be good. he accepted a role blocking playing teams and helping develop young guys. I don’t see him suddenly being all ego and speaking out against his qb

Elgersma is unproven and hasn’t played any pro football at all. None. Zero. Zilch. The pay is enough for a guy like Thorne or Perkins but not for the great Elgersma who has zero experience. Dude last threw a ball in a game that mattered almost 2 years ago now. I mean. Let’s not be ridiculous. Ppl pretend Canadian QBs draw or are gonna save the league but nope cuz we outdraw bc and rourke. Nobody cares about Elgersma except the ppl on this site right now and I think only 1 thinks he’s some stud already. He’s not tho. He’s got less pro experience than chase Artopoeous.

I don't know why we aren't playing Clercius more inside almost like a tight end on some sets. With his size could be beneficial unless he can't block, then we also have a coaching issue

Clercius isn't slow. 4.5 speed, one of the fastest few in his draft year. Almost the same speed as Mital. He plays the spot he does because he's also outlier strong with great size and tremendous blocking skill.

Yup. I think he actually underestimated how much the gm does. It’s not just signing free agents. It’s drafting. It’s scouting. It’s making sure guys get along even. The captain of the ship and Nashville has been sinking hard the last few seasons. They are worse off than we are but in a very desired location. Says it all there. Helle being hurt killed the team this year. Also JT taking half a year to shake the rust off. What killed Nashville was signing free agents to disgustingly big money deals. It didn’t work out. Can’t buy a team. Trotz tried tho.

I'll be with my with my wife but I'd like to do that. We can talk about it as the time gets closer. From what I understand, Doman & the City of Kelowna are getting together for the addition of 15-17000 temporary seats. Apparently, where we're siting the seats don't exist yet. To me, there's more money in kelowna than halifax so maybe this is a test, who knows? Although giving STH's in Calgary & Vancouver first dibs isn't much of a test.

He played nfl pre season and performed very well. That’s a lot more than chase did. For a young qb, every snap matters. production in any area matters. Also, an nfl tc and rookie camp is worth two cfl camps and a year on the pr. Much higher level coaching, higher level of competition. Neither of those guys are gonna produce or should have any expectation this year. if elgersma is here and if chase is even here after rookie camp. The arm talent is pretty close, id say elgersmas tool kit translates better to the cfl. Also his experience with the canadian game is incredibly value able. Arm talent to compete in nfl camp plus experience in the canadian game is extremely valuable. We don’t know what he’s really worth, because this isn’t some thing we’ve seen before. Winning helps the most to draw. Outside of that, not much is worth sacrificing any thing on the field for. Canadian qbs aren’t going to save the league, the next wave of qbs will save or sink the league. If things continue as is with qb talent in the cfl, you might start seeing more cis kids play. Not much further down for us to go once the old guys are gone.

So the guy getting **** on is the guy who had all of 12 passes thrown his way last season but he caught 10 of them. I’m not really sure I see the reasoning. 12 targets. 10 catches. What a bum? Do not like how he lumped Corcoran in with Clericius. Clercius is a wr with tremendous raw tools who has caught everything thrown his way. Corcoran is like Wade Miller on a low-battery mobility scooter.

In my humble opinion, the CFL, especially Commish and his team, need to do a way better job at providing an environment and market where elite players know they can carve out nice careers in the CFL and spend less time f'ing around with the rules ffs.

Not for me, I don't really pay attention to the Jets until playoff time. The NHL regular season is too long to really get invested in.

That tee shirt was from the Eastern Division Semi Final game played at Winnipeg Stadium on November 13, 1988. The Bombers won 35-28. Attendance was an embarrassment & a shock as crowds at Winnipeg Stadium in 1988 were fairly consistent all season long around 24,000. Hence, the idea for a tee shirt commemorating that game with the attendance on the front. The Bombers got on a roll behind qb Sean Salisbury in the playoffs. They took care of Hamilton at home & then beat the Argos 27-11 a week later in the Eastern Final at CNE Stadium on November 20th. Then they wrapped up the Trifecta on November 27th by defeating the heavily favoured BC Lions by a score of 22-21. in the Grey Cup at Lansdowne Park which featured DT Michael Gray deflection of a Matt Dunigan pass to an open receiver in the end zone. Not only did he deflect the pass up into the air but he caught it on the way down at the goalline to preserve the Bomber win & the Grey Cup Championship. I'll never forget that play. The story goes that the Bombers supposedly sold over 50,000 of those tee shirts. I don't know if that was true or not. There were fans that bought that tee shirt who never attended the game while claiming they did just to join the Grey Cup bandwagon. I can't confirm that number to be true or not but a lot of people did buy that tee shirt. It seemed everyone was wearing one & it was a hot ticket item for Christmas that year. I was there along with my wife as we were STH's in Sec V, row 29 & seats 12 & 13 at the old barn on Maroons Road. I never got a tee shirt, though. Michael Gray: Grey Cup hero.

So I got a belated holiday present from a friend.... One of those "I Was One Of The 12,321" shirts from that infamous playoff game. Question for the octogenarians around here... What year was that? I would have been really young at the time... I'm thinking it was around '84 right? Anyhow, got that along with a copy of Vince Leah's Blue Bombers History book from 1979. Looking forward to diving into that...

2025 was a slog for me you guys, and not just as a Bomber fan. But I'm looking forward to 2026. May the new orbit bring you all good fortune.

Watching the game against France with Cuthbert calling just frustrates me listening to him sometimes and knowing he’s an elite broadcaster but i wish he wouldn’t make references to things like when Marner and Stone are coming down on a two on one that we just witnessed a Las Vegas Knight duo. Who the f cares. This is the Olympics not a NHL game to market to viewers. Make Canadian references. We are here to do a job and and send a message. oh wait that’s just me. Just got the news that one of our friend's daughter has Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Just 38 years old with a husband & young son who is under 2 who will grow up never knowing his Mother. So, not a Happy New Year. Very sad. Our foundation has been rocked today.
