Released from roster:

-        International defensive lineman Derrell Johnson

-        National receiver Kris Bastien

Released from practice roster:

-        National offensive lineman T-Dre Player

 Added to practice roster:

-        International defensive lineman Justin Cole

Good to see Cole getting another shot but hope they hold onto Hubbard.  Also Haidara must have shown more than Bastien, next up Richards.

I think Cole was looking for NFL opportunities and then got hurt? Not exactly sure what his deal was but he's the man opposite Westerman if healthy. 

giving away national players to sask, i think.

i wouldnt be surprise if both end in sask PR.

Well they gotta do something, but moving around players who aren't even playing isn't going to accomplish anything. I'm expecting some bigger moves in the coming days once the film gets reviewed. And perhaps Nicholls getting a few extra first team reps would be a good start.

Looks like Ryan Smith is injured.

That might not be such a bad thing. I like smith n weston, but imo its one or the other, we need more size n speed out there

perhaps the threat to release or bench some actual players might strike a cord with the starters??? Maybe benching a particular QB so he can see someone else do it might benefit him?   Not a chance as long as MOS is HC he is too head strong and stubborn.

Or maybe the released players just aren't very good and they are being released because it's football and that happens. Ppl who think Willy will be released need to pull their heads out of their ass. Go to a practice. Nichols is awful. There's a reason willy plays and Nichols doesn't.  Willy is better.

Having a QB that is better than one that you say is awful really breeds confidence

I wonder if a scheme of throwing in QB's for different plays would help out.  Like throw in Davis for a possible throw/QB sneak, throw in Nichols for a couple of throws/hand off's, then back to Willy, etc...  Mix it up to see if it helps out.  It's like their afraid to try something new.

Yup.  We want to continually lose games, this is the best way to accomplish this.

Bastien was here already, doesn't fight for the ball. Highly doubt either end up here

What's funny is the signing of Haidara made Bastien expendable.

Haidara was another player Jones didn't even look at. He was determined to clean house no matter what.
