One rumor I saw yesterday from Drew Edwards ... WR Greg Ellingson to Ottawa to reunite with Henry Burris - would be a good move for Ottawa

Former Argos LB Marcus Ball and OT Edawn Coughman was cut by the Saints and Redskins respectively.

 

Also Braylon Bell (6.06 205), who I believed attended the Bombers mini-camp last year was released by Redskins.

Excuse my lack of memory, but who was the DB hurt at the start of the season (Pre Season game?) that was going to be a starter.  I think he was Canadian too.  And how has his injury progressed, is he in plans for this season?

Safety/WIL, I believe.....do you seriously not remember Graig Newman? Was a really huge deal that we picked him up last off season and was projecting to be our starting Safety (??) and was a fairly significant blow when he got hurt....

He's fully recovered and ready for the season.

 

He was actually asking to get back in at the end of last season from what I heard.

Potential for him to be a big part of things this year, even as a rotational guy and ST. He's a quality NI.

I do remember him and his importance, thats why I was asking.  For some reason I have a hard time remembering his name.  He came up in another thread months ago and I had to ask what his name was then too.  Easy enough name.  Just doesnt stick in my mind,.  Too many chairshots.

Being from Saskatchewan Newman's parents expected twins and had already chosen the names Gregg and Craig, when only one came out they had to compromise on his name.  Poor kid.

I would have had no problem with Walters giving up a 4th rounder.  It does seem like a very low price tag.

Haidara isn't anything special as a receiver.  We have one named Carl Fitzgerald.
