News 1130 Sports in Vancouver says Orlondo Steinauer has a no movement clause in his contract, so he won't be in the running for BC Lions Head Coach. 

 

I believe it was reported earlier as well that Noel Thorpe has the same situation.

So unless they are cut by their respective head coaches, they aren't going anywhere. That's takes them out of any HC and DC job openings.

I would be happy with Hall as Etchverry's replacement. Pick up the phone, Mr. O'Shea.

I don't know how many others would be tho... Kind of a parallel change up.. Mediocre for mediocre,.

Not sure why it's parallel , Ritchie Hall has a better understanding of defensive geometry than Etch does.

I'd take Hall, Benevides, and of course my first choice, Washington... are all upgrades over Etchevary. Saskatchewans defence was pretty damn good last year IMO.

Our lines were virtually the same size. Chick is 250, Foley 256, & George is 277 at DT. That's almost identical size to Peach, Vega, & Bryant.

yeah the problem wasn't the size of the Bombers DL, it was skill, especially when Anderson got hurt. Vega had a terrible year and Peach should be a fill in at best. 

Vega was a big let-down.  I hope there is lots of competition for his spot next season.

Hard to blame the players when there is no playbook to follow.

Vega told me he dealt with turf toe most of the season.

Turf toe settles down and can be managed in the offseason..

Turf toe definitely goes away but can take up to a year to do so.

If O'Shea really wants Washington to be his DC,  him and/or Walters should asked permission from Buono to talk to Washington, if necessary, add the title of the Assistant HC to make it as a legitimate move (promotion and not lateral).

 

 

I don't think they need to wait until the BC HC issue settles.

How do you know they didn't? Just because the media hasn't reported it/doesn't know about it, doesn't mean it hasn't happened. I, for one, prefer when stuff like this happens under the table, rather than in the public eye.
