The #BCLions announce RB Andrew Harris suffered a left ankle separation and will undergo season-ending surgery. Expected, but brutal. #CFL

 

Taj Smith has also been placed on the 6 game IR by the Riders with a broken clavicle.

That's a pretty big hit for the Lions.

Oy vey.  They injuries this season to some of the major starters are really piling up.  Hopefully this will give wpg a slight advantage on our next meeting. 

Sucks, hate to see talent go down.

Sorry to see Harris go down. Hopefully this isn't an injury that has lasting implications. Seth Doege set Smith up to get killed & he literally was. If I was George Cortez I'd tear his head off. Broken clavicle isn't the worst injury a football player can get but it's still serious.

Maybe being on IR will help Taj deal with all his legal problems without the stress of the game weighing him down.

Raw deal for Harris but Logan will simply step in and light it up.  BC's problem lies with Jones being a bit vanilla and their OL sucking more than anything else.

which to me is simply an indicator that he's not good enough to be the main threat in an offense and without Dressler for most of the season to take pressure off him he's not as effective. It happens. We got our own guy like that In Denmark.

He totally exposed Smith to that hit & subsequent injury. One of the things a good qb does is not make the kind of a throw that could get his receiver hurt. Glad he & Cortez think it's funny. Especially after Doege & Sunseri looked so bad. Yuk, yuk, yuk.

Logan is the go to guy with Harris gone and Logan hasn't been all that impressive this year. The leos have taken a hit and just might be catchable if we can get our act together. Lots of rumblings on the lions site, that it might be tough to finish the year successfully, with a chunk of their offence gone. Tough break for Harris. Really like the kid and hope he recovers to continue his career. I'm hoping one year he'll end up wearing  bluengold. Dare to dream.

Brown has done nothing this year and as I've said Logan hasn't been having a great year. Should be a good test for them this weekend in the hammer. IF they drop that one...game on.

Harris is a huge loss, tough to deal with i'd imagine. Not only do you lose your starting running back/ mr everything, he's canadian at that. Gonna have to start a Canadian elsewhere now.

What the hell is an ankle separation?

It sounds painful whatever it is. I've had 4 foot & ankle surgeries since 2011 & recovery time is brutal. Like 6-9 months each time. Off my feet for a couple of months at a time. Wish Harris well & that when he comes back he hasn't lost a step or two.

Something not as painful or expensive as an ankle divorce. Obviously.

Sucks for the Lions, Harris and the league that he's out. It always sucks to lose star players, especially Quarterbacks and Canadians. It does help our playoff chances though.
