Vaval should be good to go for the 2nd half as per DT.

  • That was the absolute worst ******* two downs Condell has called all year Collaros gets rocked, you know he’s gonna be a bit slow and we just give him a ******* insanely long-to-develop play call two

Brady is the guy who leaks out and gives us a quick target. The Riders had a player rush right at Brady, forcing him to block instead of leaking out, therebye eliminating him from the passing game.

And yet, they will probably win on Saturday. If you took an honest look at the off-season, this was and is a .500 football team.

I don’t think we got a good back field hit on him.

We have lawson who is pretty good as a nose. We could use an imp nose, or atleast a bull rushing dt to rotate. Lawson, wj, and Jake are 3 excellent dl, but we don’t have a fourth guy yet. Reese played his worst game, which is to be expected from a rookie. We really need a high motor bull rush guy to complement those 3. Wj and Jake basically disappeared vs saskatchewans physicality on the line.

Useage on the dl isn’t great again either. We ran more 30 and a lot of tite front. But we don’t twist or stunt or rush interior gaps with the tite look. We just send the 3 at inside gaps and occasionally send the apex off the edge, but almost never any effect as they more often try to take on the tackle rather than take a pursuit angle to the qb.

And we don’t keep inside backers in position to take up side gaps with the tite front either. Teams know to pull/slant/trap/leverage them with wide or out side zone and gash us in the run game.

When hall did stuff like this in the past he had the finer details installed you needed to succeed with 3-4 rushers. Now we have most of the talent to create disruption with 4 plus or minus 1, but don’t employ any of the tactics needed to make the strategy work. We just throw our guys out and hope they figure out a way to win.

I get the same hyper frustrating feeling when i see a collapsed passive pk box in hockey as when i watch a frequently called passive 3 front ‘rush’ on a slow footed QB.

My layperson’s eyes just see that TC is not patient in trying to establish the run with arguably the best RB in this league.

Zachs arm looks shot and his accuracy yesterday wasn’t great. Throws tend to be well short or over thrown to open guys. Singer looked great, looks like he’s potentially a threat. But just like texada, won’t play next week cuz Demski is back. Should take Cobbs spot tho.

Not to mention slow.

yep, playing passive or soft makes fast guys play slow. The D is making guys think too much and react too little. You want guys to think pre snap and react post snap. Every thing we do and are bad at makes us play like we are running in quick sand. It doesn’t help that we have middle of the pack athleticism over all, at best either.

They did a good job of picking him up, but we also go empty back field soo much that we make it easy to key in on him when he is playing the pass from the back field. which is only intensified by our limited and poor use of the run.

We didn’t have any other pressure release hot routes, or any play calls to counter the disruption either.

harris is a guy who folds up like cheap lawn furniture in a hurricane if you keep hitting him too. His late days in edmonton against us where he was un able to do create any thing we consistently hit him 10+ times. This year and last, we might’ve hit him 5 times in all the games.

he doesn’t have the zip any more, and he also doesn’t have the wheels to go crazy legs collaros any more. That was always his bread and butter, arm strength to over come aggression/pocket pressure, and ability to get clear of good pressure.

He is also seemingly chronically sore/hurt leaving him slow to get up and frankly ornery towards every thing but success.

I just don't understand how given the way O'Shea was as a player and how there's a guy like Brady Oliveira on the team how so many guys can be such wusses out there....

Okay, he’s not that bad, but given that he’s an import….. Maybe it works out to be about as bad?

Worse as it bastardizes us of a valuable import elsewhere

yeah woodbey has been complete ass all season long. inexplicable that he gets so much rope.

and singer immediately looks like a contributer but can't put him on the roster sooner because reasons... make it make sense.

In osh's fantasy world thats how things go..ive said too often he is truly a moron and we won.."before in spite of his moronic's...not now after he has degraded our depth with poor choices being kept/played and has shown zero ability to do anything x and o wise or take over play calling over coords who are off in space in games..we are poorly coached ...like severely

I was high on woodbey originally..but this yr he has really regressed...and sadly with him he isnt a victim of scheme which is kinda I think msking others seem less than we are. Funny that Ayers took over his role after he got hurt and made several noticeable plays..yet he plated second..even 3rd fiddle...osh can't recognize talent if it slapped him in his smug face...Classic example is Singer..looked just like he did in preseason this game..which was not like a rookie at all..attacked ball..picked it out of air with hands..ZC had trust in him and yet we went 12 games forcing this Cobb and Nield thing when not needed. Singer should have been rostered game 1...and those 5 games where we dressed Hazen instead of Singer for no real roster value shows pretty much the extent of Osh's ability to build an effective game day roster.. Clercius as well should be ahead of both...makes plays when asked too..yet..3rd fiddle..Osh is just a clueless putz

Singer should take Cobb's spot. 2 WR+2OL+RB+DT+LB+S gives you 8 Canadians starting.

And 1 of those 8 can be a nationalized american to boot..yet dumbass refuses to use that..

Daniels getting dropped in his tracks by one guy, woodbey with a love tap on a receiver to not push him out, neild not being able to catch in traffic, the OL getting blown up constantly... Just soft soft soft.

If we used Eli on that Daniels soft as **** play...Eli gets that first down i bet...I know Clercius would have

Just another example of a bad roster decision trying to make a player a thing..he nowhere ready for prime time yet...maximize your roster...not handcuff it but that is Oshs way..favorites, excessive needless Canadians and boner inducers make his roster even if not best options

Collaros and Condell both need to be called out severely for their approach to dealing with clear and obvious pressure.

It’s quite clear in this game we weren’t adjusting at all to what the defense was bringing even when I could see it coming 4 seconds before the snap on a shitty TV angle.

Vet QB and game plan both need to be able to deal with that. OL can only do so much going on silent all night vs 6 rushers.

Ball needs to come out way faster. Very little screen game but was effective the couple times they did run one on first down to get to second and manageable.

Collaros wants to read coverage with the ball in his hands and depending on what the D is bringing that just isn’t possible.

Is Elsbury also failing to make calls..or right calls? Can be a huge issue and this yr we have had way too many to count instances of totally free guys from multiple different spots get shots..and way more confusion than ive seen in yrs...It can make an okine look...well like ours..I dont think ZC got that stupid overnight cause every game there are multiple plays where he looks fresh outta div 3 college...its the center

he has decent hands, too bad he doesn’t really have any thing else going for him.

I’m a big believer in the 11 formation and what TEs could do in the cfl with a modern offence. Sadly, daniel’s is one of our worst picks in the mafia era. He hasn’t once shown good physicality even against guys 60-80lbs lighter than him. He’s got no positive athletic traits, no raw talent, and no skills other than decent hands.

Schmekel is a limited tool guy, but he’s got tons of heart and hustle. He battles on every snap physically. I’d rather run him at te then daniel’s.

Or Eli...actually MCI and Clercius could easily fill a TE role..both are tenacious blockers..both athletic and both possess way better than average attributes in some areas than a Lotta bigger skilled guys innthe CFL..but we dont ..I think can't recognize true talent and potential/progression in players and rarely develop a guy to become something...but we sure know how to play guys in spots that do nothing to showcase their abilities.. Ayers and Woodbey at DE..Kelly and Hallett at dime...the Kramdi at sam 3 yr trial...undersized dlineman as interior gap pluggers needing to handle 2 lineman...piss poor coaching in 3 key spots..HC and his coords

And we made no adjustment to it...what a shock..I sometimes wonder if our coaches are watching what is going on...or if they create a game plan with zero options to it..and just become befuddled...but when u have minimal amount of practices in a week as opposed to maximum allowed per cba..that kinda stuff happens

Yup...we dont attack plays defensively..we are tasked with letting it unfold in front of us with passive/soft coverage then try and rally around it...and with our piss poor attention to basics in parctice (tackling/angles..etc) and country club take extra days off attitude in practice weeks..well we see what we get

Osh played on the edge..was the sneakiest dirty p.o.s out there but has created and environment of nice guys and suffocating players identities or personalities on the field for being nasty...his intangibles and what he looks at in players doesn't work when u have a roster full of them..you need a good half dozen agitators and pricks out there that get guys off their game yapping back...or have head on a swivel cause they know they may get it taken off at any given moment...we are a crew of panty waists. I bet no offence fears playing us and know their playbook is wide open to have their way with us..especially when for most part u have 7 undersized guys running around waiting for the play to be completed and then hope to corral it

We went from the toughest team out there who wore opponents down to being creampuffs

The crazy thing about Daniels is we traded up and traded a future pick for him then after the 1st Q yesterday Clercius was playing in-line tight end anyways.

Can’t understate how Walters has botched basically every draft post 2019.

well now hold on - Daniels is a rookie - let's give him a year to figure things out. No one expects a rookie to come in and just light things up immediately. We showed patience with pics like Faith Ekatite, Tyson Pencer, Jade Etienne and Addison (the hair) Richards. What would have happened if we had just given up on those guys after only one season? Case closed! )

I couldn't agree more. I liked Streveler's energy, but he wasn't a massive ****** like TS appears to be.

I see your humor sarcasm...and I like!...and as for reference

clercius as a rookie 32 for 352 and a td 11 yards per catch in 18 games...with prob less reps than Daniels gets...Daniels 9 for 95 after 12 games

He got a lot of ground to make up to get even a sniff of that in next 7 games

But were those guys big? Were they shitkickers?

A Big Shitkicker needs 5 years minimum to really get going.

Bravo lol

The wrs couldn't stay healthy, pencer was a raw gamble at best, and faith was a college over achiever who under achieved as a pro. But also couldn't get snaps on a really good dl.

Daniels, doesn't even look like a football player. He looks like the big kid in school that every coach recruits and is then frustrated beyond belief by.

The real problem is that pass catching is Daniels only strength lol. Clercius is better at every thing than daniels, including blocking. MCI too. And both guys are drastically more athletic. Every snap Daniels takes that MCI doesn't, makes us significantly worse.

Brown looked awful as a rookie, and schmekel took longer. But brown had some tools, and schmekel had a great motor. Daniels has Schmekel level athleticism, with out the motor.

Here's a question - how is the word "******" censored but "douchebag" isn't?

Yeah, Zach's an old 38 while Harris seems to be a young 40. Both though are one hit away from ending their career. The Bombers have Dru Brown. The Riders have.... have... have... Tommy Stevens?? Let him set his stupid td record. Stevens is absolutely useless as an every down qb. The Riders are cooked if Harris gets injured.

I wish we had old school media who could ask Walters why the hell he thought Daniels was some amazing prospect worth trading up for.

yes if only we could have a Cactus Jack replica in our media nowadays.

I'll give Daniels some time to grow into a pro.... However that growing is as a special Teamer or pr player not as a regular. We've given chris-ike that development path, let's see if he can make some plays cause he's got some burst to him
