That is just not a good take, at all.

I'll add a diverse run game! Running Brady in the A gap all day long out of the same formation won't do it.

This team is just not that good. Their record flatters them. They are as bad as Ottawa.

Cause they suck perhaps...and every team is leaving them in the dust?

It seems like a lackadaisical mentality has trickled down from the top.

We know the Oline has a hard time in pass protection...and we've known this for weeks...so we consistently swing our great blocking RB out to WR, and allow one of the best pass rushing DLs in the league make real easy decisions on their assignments....but thats not on coaching?

Offense builds momentum by consistently running the ball in the 3rd/4th quarter...dragging the back into the game. And after his best/biggest run of the game he doesnt get another touch. But thats not on coaching?

Players were consistently put in positions to be beaten. On offense and defense. The players did themselves no favours either. And made plenty of mistakes. But none of them happened for the 1st time this game, and the coaches seemingly refused to change anything. But thats not on coaching?

Certainly are not properly preparing the team or having them ready thats for sure. Its not like its the odd rare game here or there where its just a case of bad breaks ..or a team just coming out on fire...its pretty much every game..thats an issue

OSH talks of all this film they like to watch..and see what needs correcting...etc..etc..but obviously they dont see the issues...or how to break down film...or both...also maybe practice more and focus a lil more on fundamentals and technique..as a lot of our guys need it

Coaches don't motivate. That's on the players. Coaches prepare. Can burn the coaches and organization for choosing the wrong leaders on the roster for sure.

Our O is a well documented mess in general. Outside of the Toronto game have started slow every single game. We've been taking the ball to start the game when we win the toss and basically never end up with more than a FG attempt. Basically never see any adjustments on O. Will see a drive once a game that's all deep shots or all runs, but no consistent balance or adjustment to overall approach.

Our D is never prepared to start the game/half. 3 out of 4 home games (all the ones we lost) we gave up TD drive to start the game on D. First drive out of half (we're almost always kicking off to start because we've been taking the ball), almost always give up big plays/points.

Our D never really seems to fire up until 3-4 possessions into the game. But even at their best we're hardly putting any pressure on the ball at any level of the field. Just see teams laughing their heads off at us at how passive we are.

I think you have this amazing ability to gloss over everything a coach can do to put players in positions to succeed and prepare them.

I mean the defense gave the team a ton of chances with the ball late but they didn't take advantage of it for a lot of reasons including some coaching ones. Like for example Stanley Bryant has been embarrassing himself every game this seasons. Coaches needed to convince him to hang them or or even cut him in camp if he didn't get the message. Coaches should be building an offense around Brady not making him play receiver and then throw 40 times a game.

He’s decided O’Shea won’t be blamed. That’s it.

If the players are not putting out, it is up to the coaches to sit them out, replace, or threaten them. Over the past 2-3 years, the coaches, through their lack of involvement seem to have shown the players that this is good enough. It is not.

With what and how we scheme we could have Bolden..Roy Bennett.. J. Jefferson and Alford out there and they would look inept

We play a passive cushion..where we place guys to.just focus on an area..and almost seems they aren't even aware of where some receivers are going and thats why they look so disjointed and confused.

Teams watch our film at eat our lunch..pre snap based on look and personelle they know exactly where to go.. shorten or cut off routes knowing our stupid drops and cushion and just eat us up...and we dont adjust or have a adjustment at the ready...

We gotta be the easiest team to game plan for both sides of the ball...

Just thank the gods walters took Thomas outta the equation on Osh..Jefferson owes Walters lunch a

Every team likes to 'set the tone' for a game ..When the opposing team sees a 'passive' start, which has been the case in a lot of our games, we've set the tone...I'm sure the opposition are just licking their chops at seeing the nonchalant way the players are conducting themselves ...easy pickings....Except for a few players on this club that attitude is a harbinger of things to come....That has to end

Like I said before..we gotta bury real deep and never dig em bavk up these "qualities/I tangibles" that osh desires and start employing some mean assed bullies..guys who play with attitude and tip toe the edge...and can walk the talk..and find a few specimens to boot..they are easy to find

No more waifs.."nice guys"...weak undersized but "high character"...or works hard schmuck...any pro should be working hard

Its funny cause when Osh played..he was a right ****...he was one the more sneaky dirty guys..and he took liberty when he could within the rules..and a lot right on the edge...

Which is such a puzzling take .. O'Shea has had some iffy decisions the whole time he's been here but he will always be a legend for that run .... But no coach lasts in one place forever and sometimes you need a change in message

So, naturally Osh got a 3 year deal. With 9 million in the bank, why can't we just eat Osh's contract at the end of the year as an organization??? For me, that would be money well spent. Then bring in someone from another organization & start fresh.

Because the penalty would not just be money. The coaches cap works the same as the players cap - a dollar for dollar fine until a certain point and then you start losing draft picks.

That being said, it's not like we're knocking them out of the park with our drafting so maybe it might be worth it.

I'm not wholesale against a change but I'd sure love to hear who's a better option out there....

At least we can afford to do it if we had to. And if this season does slip away then it'll be worth it. The problem is how can the Trinity fire each other? After what Miller did last year signing everyone to 3 year deals I don't have much hope anything will be done.

I don’t think a vet coach that is an improvement exists as an option. You either look at a vet who gets fired and who you hope can bounce back with you (like ritchie back in the day) or you try to develop a new young guy and take some lumps for a couple years.

Young guy getting a first hc gig is the popular choice generally.

i could actually see a buck getting canned and being an option in the off season.

I do not think mos or walters will be shown the door this year or next though.

The cfl coaching and front office works badly needs fresh blood but it isn’t happening any time soon.

We lost because our players made errors in judgement, committed turnovers and were not assignment sound and then there is the glaringly obvious that we do not have the talent.

We sit here hyperfocused on minutae instead of talking about the obvious,, this team does not have the horses and it isn't because we didnt evaluate talent properly, it's because none has walked thru the door.

We can get into consequences but that isn't why we got smoked. The game was there for the taking and we continually handed it right back to Calgary

Thank you for your OPINION...because despite what some people here are expressing the guys we are criticizing have a zillion times more information about the decisions they make than we do. Such hubris around here sometimes from people judging professional coaches with only a tenth of the complete mass of information that goes into their decisions.

I've decided that I know less about the game than MOS and that my eyes tell me he didn't commit turnover after turnover, whiff on tackles, or miss assignments, and am confident he didn't tell our players to do so either. If we played flawless football and got smoked I might look away from the players taking the blame but it is moronic to blame the coaches for players doing exactly that.

But hey if an echo chamber devoid of counterpoint is what you want have at it. Its funny how the moderators here seem to encourage it and even defend it with snarky pot shots. Talk football or put me on ignore Mike. Either way a forum member is kindly asking a mod to not respond to his posts anymore. Will the mod do the right thing?

You consistently attack the poster, never the content of their post and somehow still carry moderator status. Sad really.

Anthony Calvillo & Marc Mueller will be Head Coaches before Buck. Do we really want another Osh disciple in charge? I don't. But it would be sooo The Trinity if a HC change was made..

Neither do you have enough info to put the blame 100% on the players.

Fair enough. So if you agree that neither side here has enough info why single my post out and declare it a bad take? Seems odd.

I get you dont agree and you are free to do so, but at least acknowledge that the echo chamber is also not posting an educated opinion and let them know too.

Coaches prepare their players to play. if they aren't properly prepared, whatever the reasons, then the poor play on the field is on coaching. Players have to be prepared to make plays when the time comes thru coverage recognition, video study, game plan prep & repetitions, proper match ups & strategy. If players don't get that because every stone that needs to be hasn't been then players aren't prepared. The Bombers looked totally disorganized Friday night. That's on coaching. Players not being ready to play because of a lack of coaching lost us the game. You can sugar coat it but that is the bottom line.

False. The coaches put them in a position to execute the play call. Game prep both mental and physical can only be done by the players themselves.
