This is the perfect DAZN game. IE... I don't care if I miss it.

My opinion is they just want to focus on the players that might still make an impact, rather than get everyone some more game action.

i mean it’s not really that many new guys. 1-2des maybe 1 dl, 1db, maybe 1wr. The 3-4th and lower guys don’t have much of a chance either

he quit after the players got the depth chart. Mos commented on their conversation and the cause of it.

What do you mean by this? He quit because he saw the depth chart and knew he wouldn’t get tons of reps? There were 5 QBs here, what could he have expected?

How great is it not seeing Chris Kolankowski as the starting Center? My condolences to the Hamilton Tiger Cats, You got suckered.

Had a few chuckles this off-season when some media (usually 3DN) would say we had a hole at center because we "lost" him in free agency. Not really losing something if you threw it away, IMO.

The Cats let the best Center leave for Edmonton to sign Kolankowski.

what's the deal with Kayden Jenkins... I know he showed some promise in the game 18 last year... however, I noticed he's listed at 275 this year (up from 260 last year)... I wonder if he has positional versatility, with the option to move inside sometimes due to his size and low centre of gravity...

I think he's in an active battle with Dixon to be a rotational DL.

There's room for both if we dont totally do something dumb with roster

And thinking both will be on as they can both slide inside

You can work 5 qbs in pre season, we've done it before.

Lets be real, no one was passing TE and probably not Perkins either unless he totally turned to dog water. The decision to throw 99% of game reps to 2 qbs isn't normal.

He is a guy who could rush from a 3 tech spot and play inside out like many tweeners we've had in the past. But we haven't really given him a ton of reps doing that. I hope to see it today though. And Fletcher could do the same.

His versatility is his biggest advantage imo. If reese plays smarter, his explosivity is extremely coveted. And Dixon is the best of the young guys vying for that spot.

1 guy will start and another guy should be a DI. Then we should keep probably 2 on the PR. That group is lead by Dixon, Jenkins, Fletcher, and Reese. I also think Arnold Young has a real chance to steal AR reps.

yup...one starter...one DI and smart roster management is to keep 2 minimum on PR

Looks like BC is starting most of their first stringers so should give a good test for the defense to see who stands out when they are in. Most of BC's starting defence has been left home so this should be a good even test for todays BB offence (who are mostly second stringers), looking forward to this evenings game!

Jenkins looked a lot more explosive than Dixon IMO. Dixon kind of plays like a heavier WJ. He's not firing off he's reading the play. Jenkins is in the backfield 1/4 pass plays before the OT even gets his hands up.

Smart move yes but O'Shea won't move away from Ayers to open another spot.

Not giving TE or BP much help is an odd way for development. I expect the O to struggle week 1. I think I’d have given Zach and the starters a quarter at the least. Fredrickson must really stand out at practice tho cuz dude sucked during the game.

Is Frederickson standing out in practice or this a last shot ala Myron Mitchell?

He was the media darling, but imo, hasn't been anything special. Should be his last shot.

Imo, Singer has all but made the team already. Could screw it up, but I doubt it. Davis has a shot to stick around with his versatility; Mayes and Womack have outside shots at making the PR. At that, I think 2 of those guys make the club at most. Unless multiple guys really light the world on fire tonight, even then its hard to see 3 of those guys sticking even with IR hiding / PR.

At that, I think Singer is the only one who has a chance of giving a first-year Bailey, maybe a first-year Lawler level of production.

Im ready for the disappointment of us being married to Jones-kyrie starting at mac/wil and DIing Ayers.

Yeah..same...was a fear I had since Jan...will we see a surprise cut? Doubt it

As i showed on a roster breakdown we can have all of Jones..Wilson..Ayers and Woodbey on roster with a DE to replace Vaughters as well as a rotational dlineman like Jenkins to go with Ceresna...now will we?

With Smith and Shay chomping at bit and needing to play..and they can..does it not make sense to dump our oldest/least versatile..thay be Jones and let the Canadians take up the slack..Stuart on roster to grow and use that spot Jones takes up on a true Nose..or even another WR/DB who has return ability?

I know thats what I would do...Sadly tho I see Osh again clinging to some aged out guys and sitting promising guys...or just flat out cutting them

In all honesty our defence minus a Jones or a Wilson...wouldn't skip a beat..and likely be better

Kinda sucks in practice too..what game showed is what practice kinda predicted...tries hard tho haha

Yup...he can book his lease for housing...only guy who showed up..showed real potential and he is a returner

Osh makes a comment on a guy sometimes and media just runs with it as gospel..as most aren't even paying attention...and at times..not to overly harp on Osh..but i have zero clue what he looking at sometimes

Yeah singer has interesting potential and fit. In catch and run he looks a whole lot like Wilson. But he also has an exceptional ability to take the top off a D. With white, and Demski plus Wilson already able to excel in catch and run, a guy who is a legit deep threat is a great addition. The potential to play a guy like singer off white vs the D is very enticing. Despite his small build and average height, his long arms and tremendous hands give him a huge advantage down field.

Athletically he reminds me a lot of Jenarion Grant. A guy who falls into the gaps of combine testing. He's stronger than you'd think with his build, hes more explosive and has the top gear to run away from guys. But he's more of a 5 yard quick and 30/60 yard geared runner.

Yeah he is intruiging and with already in house bigger bodied Clercius..Neild..Daniel's and even MCI with his expanded role he seems like the right fit. Twitchy quick too in close quarters.

This allows us to DA Vaval as returner and backup DB so if he needs to play defence Singer can take on some return work so we dont burn him out..

I feel like Stuart starts on the practice roster but ends up on the AR by the end and shows promise on team with the potential for a year two beakout to rotational reps.

Agree...Likely trajectory for him

Agreed. I think Kelly and Hallett will be pushed hard by Stuart and Ball.

Sorry if this has already been asked but can we stream the game on cfl+ in Winnipeg or will it be blacked out?
