Noeller you know jack **** about building a team or grading out qbs. You just have a total childish hate on for Faj because he played for the Riders. No matter what he does you'll always hate him. You've called Faj a whiner for his complaining to the media at times. Who the heck cares??? As long as he goes & balls out when he plays which he does. Is Faj the best qb in the CFL? No, but he is Top 5. The guy has been money for the past number of years. A GC winner & has been successful in guiding the teams he played for into the playoffs. I agree with wbbfan that he's one of the best qbs & I'd have no trouble building a team around him.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but how many Pro teams have you built or Pro qbs have you graded?

They won the game... He didn't look like a hall of famer...

21-26 for 290 and 3 TDs including a perfectly placed game winner....what else could he have done?

CF is a good QB it's just very hard to market around guys like him and Chad Kelly, they just give off an unlikeable vibe.

At no point has he ever looked like a Hall Of Famer... That's my only point.

I get it. Fact say otherwise.

5 incompletions and 3 TD passes in a GC game against what was a very good defense. AND the game winning TD pass with seconds remaining against pretty tight coverage. You'd be creamin your pants if #8 had anything close to that in a GC game and you know it.

That makes him a hall of famer?

Reality is I've never been a huge collaros fan. Always said him being the best qb for a while there was an indictment of the rest of the league and his playoff performances have historically not been good. So don't use him as a comparison. 2019 Streveler had as much to do with the win as collaros.

Either way, faj still sucks. He's got all of burris' shitty attitude without anywhere near the talent.

no. I was replying to Noellers - "he's never LOOKED like a hall of famer". That game as the facts show. He did. It was the best game he ever played in his biggest moment. He looked good that game and I hate admitting that.

And I wasn't comparing him to Collaros. I was saying IF Collaros ever has a GC game like that one, people would be talking about it as a legendary performance.

Conflating "he looked like he had a good game" with "he looked like a hall of famer" is the issue. We're splitting hairs here... Why is anyone around here actively looking for ways to support Faj? That is staggering to me.

Nothing wrong with giving Faj some credit and saying that people under rate his abilities. I do believe this is true.

On the same note, I don't think Faj is a guy that anyone is going to ever consider the top QB during his era, his legend will be his whining and hitting a post.

Hasn't he done everything Matt Nichols ever did, but at a much higher level? He's succeeded too much in different places to be that overrated. He is one of the best of the group of QBs you'd not want to build around.

Let's not forget he outplayed Zach in the 2023 Grey Cup.

Yeah but Nick Arbuckle outplayed Zach in a grey Cup too

I think both those instances say more about ZC than the other 2

In the 2 cup wins..it wasnt from ZC carrying us on his back with his play

Our wins were team wins..Great depth and player use across tge board..so much that the coaching couldn't fuckit all up..self policed..self accountable..

We lost that across the board ability..let some key voices and players leave..and never replaced those voids..and we didnt have the real leadership and ability coaching wise to carry us thru that..nor did we do anything really to adress it and plot a smart future path moving forward..got lazy and looked too much in rear view and believed too much in the accolades in the press..and here we are

I still have a hard time saying those guys necessarily outplayed him. You can't just look at stats in a vacuum. There's weird **** like the OL, Receivers, play calling... Lord knows Collaros was hurt in at least two of those games.

Not saying he was great just not that easy to say who outplayed whom...

Not me, collaros is not a great playoff performer and lots of guys have outplayed him.

2019 and 2021 we had absolutely stacked teams with high end talent and depth out the wazoo.

You've hated Zach Collaros for years... Why just last week..............

Top 5 in a league with 9 qbs.... with one team being 1 - 17... it's not hard to crack that top 5 list. Fajardo best attribute is that he doesn't get hurt and can stay healthy. I don't think he's ever shown to be an elite player, just a Kevin Glenn like consistent B level player which with the right team can win you games.

You're nuts if you think he isn't.

Because hating Fajardo for years just for the sake of hating him without considering anything else is childish. Unlike you, most of the posters here know their football & that's why they can see the forest from the trees. I can hate on a player like I do KSB but I respect his abilities. While I can't stand him as a Rider, I'd be way more than happy to have him as a Bomber receiver. That's the difference.

So not really CFL related but one of the reasons cited for the movement of the goal-posts was player safety.

I can't recall the last time someone was injured by the goal-posts on the goal-line, but today Reggie Virgil of the Cardinals was carted off the field after he collided with the goal-posts at the back of the end zone

I mean my work was going to pay me generously to move out to Vancouver but ultimately I couldn’t justify the cost of living. I bought a new build last year in winnipeg for a good price it’s a 3 bed 3 bath 1250 square ft home. I couldn’t even buy a one bed one bath condo for the price I paid out there. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I’m 35 and I’m a higher earner. I don’t have the funds to pay for 2-3 million dollar home out there

I accepted a marketing position with BC Tel back in 1993. It was a good job & paid really well. I had no idea what the housing prices were in BC back then as we had been living in Calgary for 3 years after moving there in 1990 & been in our house here for just 2 years. No time to build up any equity.

We paid $120,000 for our first home here in Calgary back in 1991. Once I was hired, I phoned my wife & said I wanted to stay for a few days more on the Lower Mainland looking at houses. I was in for sticker shock. Damn, I thought Calgary prices were high. I wasn't ready for the prices of homes on the BC coast.

Starter homes were $400.000 in nice "affordable" neighbourhoods & fifty grand less in trashy neighbourhoods where you couldn't let your kids play outside lest they prick themselves with a used needle. Or drug trafficlking was going on around some residential corners. We had scrimped & saved to buy a house & there was no way we were going back to an apatment or cheap condo just to live on the Lower Mainland.

I finally found a place where we could afford to live... in Abbotsford. Great, a 90 minute commute one way with traffic between downtown Vancouver & Abbotford. Three hours in a car everyday. At age 35. No thanks. I'd be dead in a decade from the stress. And probably wear out 2 or 3 new cars. I gave it some thought (2 or 3 minutes) & called BC Tel back. Turned the job down to stay in Calgary. Been here ever since.

Times are tough and I would consider me and my partner the lucky ones. We both make close or over six figures and we’re just getting by. In our professions, 20 years ago we would be living a very good life. But oh well what can you do.
