I mean good to see Collaros back I guess but if you have Stanley starting at LT and Brockton is out it’s going to be ugly no matter who’s under center for the Bombers.

Broxton and Lawson were both back as well (big Stan still at LT, obvs).

Paging Duron Carter ;)

Hasn't played WR since 2019 so he's well rested.

Lawson back is massive. We have sincerely missed that guy.

We should talk to his Dad, Cris. Even at 60, he'd be more productive than Gavin Cobb.

Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Zach Collaros and his wife are building Dogtopia—a four-hectare, C$3 million facility near Winnipeg dedicated to rescuing abused and abandoned dogs.

“This is more than just a shelter,” Collaros says. “We will provide professional training, water-play areas and around-the-clock veterinary care—but most importantly, love. Dogs are family.”

Saw this posted on some AI slop page and can't find anything else about it. I don't think this is a thing.

^^ that makes sense. It'd be more of a Brady thing than a Zach thing. Especially since Zach's family is out east. Not super connected to Winnipeg, really.

Football kept Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ Matt Jaworski going...

Instead of gearing up for his first full season of CFL football, Matt Jaworski was in a hospital bed wondering if he’d ever get to play again.

Paywall.

The Free Press paywall is about as strong as one built by a 3 year old with blocks.

3 million dollars? That’s more than Brady. And that’s partly why you also know it’s fake. 1. Zach don’t live here. 2. It’s 3 million dollars, Zach is a cfl QB not nfl QB. What Brady does, you me and next dude can do cuz all it costs is time. This tho is 100 percent fake news.

As a fan of dogs and even more than people, dogtopia would be great but the real solution is finding them all good loving homes. Dogtopia wouldn’t accomplish that anyways.

So Zach back this week? Stanley still at tackle ?? So Zach back to the 6 game this week in all reality.

Ottawa gonna get their 1st W I think because it seems no changes or not any that should have been. Or am I wrong on that? We have made changes??

Kyle Osh and coaches really that delusional huh. Montreal will destroy us. Sask will also. And at this point it does start with Kyle.

Edited by Goalie

Kyle can release players also. And he’s the guy who brings them in. He can do anything even if it pisses O’Shea off.

And at this point, it’s time someone rocked the boat cuz the iceberg is coming up and they don’t see it.

The complacency seems to be real here with the Trinity. Gotta include Wade who can literally do anything also if he so pleases. He can rock the boat occasionally also. Hasn’t in some time.

we already hit the iceburg...we been listing and taking on water for a few yrs now as we slowly sink....but the total plunge to bottom is imminent if things dont get patched up pronto

You are 100 percent correct...the G.M can clip a player at anytime...for any reason he see's fit..and the HC can deal with it ...same with bringing in guys...Walter's needs to take more control and not let Osh keep fertilizing the rot

Who is on the field is up to the coaches. Who they get to pick from is up to the GM. If guys have been here too long, or don't belong, that is 100% on Kyle. GMs all over the league make decisions that their coaches don't like all the time. For some reason KW doesn't seem to get that.

oh I agree....coach is control of who see's the field...and how often...but also needs to have the ability to recognize the 45 best players to keep...and he sucks at that...even if Walter's has supplied sub par guys...which I totally dont see as the case...he still picks the poorer of them anyway...what he see's/values/prioritizes in a player in a lot of circumstances doesnt translate into the best available...let alone some instances even worthy...so it wouldnt matter I think what the scouts bring in..He's flawed in his assessing, not to mention self admitting he doesnt really have a good grasp of the x and o's part of things as well....not a good mix for a HC

And I agree...Walter's needs to be a G.M and be in charge...and if his HC doesn't like it...so be it...But when you have buddies in those 2 positions...you get what we see now

If Walter's refuses...or just cant make the big boy decisions he needs to go..We already know Osh cant...

I think we all agree that both Osh and KW are at fault. I do lean towards the GM slightly more. Even if Osh picks some favourites over more talented other options, I still think the GM has to find some talent that is clearly better than the other options. We haven't had a true impact WR, DE, DT, OL brought in by KW in years. Dalton Schoen I guess is one. Ones that come in and are so much more talented that even Osh can't deny it. Other teams find them every year. I think the problem is Osh is picking from a selection of C to B level talent, and he then leans towards intangibles.

All this talk of releasing players and clipping this dude and that is all great and all... if you have the Scout talent to get you the horses you need to compete in the top bracket. I don't think we have the scouting talent anymore. The last of our good recruits dried up with the departure of Ringmaiden.

After the last bloody disgrace at home last game and seeing very little change ,if any, you have to wonder is anyone in charge and actually giving a damn..The team was embarrassed, disgraced and humiliated and it seems we're content with that...IF that's what we are taking into the next game against Ottawa, AND we lose, the shite will hit the fan and somebody should lose their job..Will that happen?? doubtful and the writing on the wall will spell ' this club has officially quit in 26'...It appeared that's what they did against BC

or....maybe Osh cant pick and assess talent worth a crap?...I lean more that way...and based on just roster use and who plays based on what he has kept...he has many many times played the lesser player

Talent at this level thats brought in...across all teams in the CFL is basically pretty consistent across the board and all comparable...yes there is the real outlier/gem but for the most part not a lot separates most....It's all about the coaching and what you do with, and how you best utilize yours....the notion our scouting team has just brought in garbage and Osh is forced to make chicken salad outta chickenshit is also just garbage

our issues of late...now we dont have established vets in their prime...basically self coaching/policing themselves is coaching and teaching....and we obviously are not a good staff in that regard....The issues that keep coming up...over and over and the excuses for it...and the non correction of it is telling

The Younger article about it just snowballing is a prime example of a staff with no answer and no ability to stop the bleeding in a game...i said it many a time...coaching has killed us

Miller is responsible for all this. he could have made changes but he didn't. I don't like the Old Boys Club our team has become. As I said, what this team needs more than anything is a 4-14 season. That way, Miller would be forced to deal with the malaise & laziness we see now. These guys aren't hungry anymore. I think they feel they have nothing to prove anymore as a GM & Head Coach combo. They're happy with the status quo. As long as we win 9 or 10 games a year & make the playoffs then everything is fine & I hate that.

Edited by SpeedFlex27

We have coaches that pretty much refuse to make changes to who is playing unless forced by injury so i would reserve some judgement on the GM at this point. The lack of accountability on the field is the #1 issue for this team right now.
