Ferguson is usually way off in his mocks buti feel like Forde usually has a better handle on things... Not this year!

I think what this year’s draft can teach us for once and for all is that 3DN doesn’t have a hot clue what the **** they’re talking about

They generate almost all of the speculation on draft boards and they’re not even close this year, hence why all the fans are confused

I like a future pick here.

early for a futures pick in cline, but with his lack of speed i don’t think he’s gonna stick as long in the nfl. canadian starting at rt in the ncaa is a big deal. His floor as a guard is very high if he doesn’t end up visible at t.

Looking for a wr next pick or two i hope

token athletic under sized teams guy lber. Kind of wild to take him over jesulayomi, ulm, and to a lesser extent udoh. missing both waves of wrs is a bit rough but still some guys worth developing at wr

love the ethan stuart pick! sam, s, cover wil, half, he can do soo much in cover and has the tools to actually be a full time cover guy plus the size to play the box and excel on soo many units. beaut of a get

I wish we had taken one of the aforementioned wr. We need better NI WR depth.

JBR correct call on Stuart.

Who tf is Dante Daniels? Not sure they needed to trade up but what do I know?

Another Osh pick. Even the guys on the panel were at a loss to explain this pick. Why would the Bombers trade up for a pick like that???

and we take another teams lber, this one injured and a flyer.

Last run on project wrs starts right after. doesn’t look good for wr.

This draft really exposed the fact that it shouldn’t be a tv event. It shouldn’t be a couple hours either. Do it with out presentation, in a fast format like they used to, then have a 45 minute post draft prime time tv event on tsn.

Then they can cover all the picks, the off season moves team needs etc.

Hopefully in the global draft we get another dl and a k/p for camp.

Interesting that we took a CIS kicker with our last pick. No idea if he'll ever be something but worth bringing to camp.

honestly, as is normally the case … I’m happy with the overall class even if the order we chose in didn’t make sense to me (the fan without a clue)

You give me Nuer, Cline, Stuart in the first three picks and I completely don’t care about the weird Daniels pick in the third round

Britton is interesting … some Eli vibes there

Really like the Cline pick, that was who I wanted at 13 … didn’t understand missing the run on WR until we picked Britton

Curious (but not optimistic) about how we deploy that TE

So what's the deal with Britton?

Edit - Here's the 3DN report on him, ranked 16th of all RECs:

. Benjamin Britton, University of Calgary (Calgary, Alta.)

"A complete wild card, Britton was a Canada West all-star for the Dinos in 2024 after posting 42 receptions for 661 yards, but stepped away from the team last season. He has since indicated that he would like to return to the sport, though scouts differ on how seriously they take those claims. In a draft that is light on size at the receiver position, a six-foot-three, 220-pound target with his level of production can’t be counted out entirely, and a team could gamble on a comeback at the end of the draft"

Daniels has to be converting to OL. They’ve never utilized a fullback or TE consistently. Based on who else was still available if they wanted a big blocking receiver hard to believe he would have been the pick.

The teams didn't seem to value WR much this draft. Seems like there were a lot of decent ones but nothing to write home about.

I'd bet they want him to the play that 6th oline spot that Tui did last year.

Not a testing demon, but he plays faster than he tested. the best player at our biggest position of need. should bring great value as an immediate rotational piece when done in with his nfl look.

He might improve significantly as well if he bulks up to be closer to 250-255

He's hella quick and relentless in pursuit.

Can someone explain this converting to OL thing with Daniels? The pictures of him makes him look like that transition would be a reverse liposuction. He doesn't look even close to an o lineman

I just don’t see it, that doesn’t make sense to me. If you want an OL, draft an OL. Hard to say the Bombers don’t utilize a FB/TE, the game is changing and Condell has often used a FB/TE. Hell, Hamilton picked Kalinic in the exact same spot in the draft when Condell was the OC there.

I can’t get to the logic that if you want an OL, you trade up there to draft a total project with terrible testing numbers that would give you zero indication whatsoever he’s capable of moving to OL when you could just do exactly what they did with their next pick and draft a futures OL like Cline.

I just watched this (definitely NOT on Twitter...) and laughed my ass off.

Not sure they're converting him to OL but they seriously traded up to get a giant, mean blocking back...

Heck yeah. Love the attitude. Let's get more shitkickers in the clubhouse. Hope this pays off.

I’m confused to why we traded up three spots and lost a second next year.. did the bombers brass really think he wasn’t going to be available at 13?

I mean, we don't have to agree with it, but you've gotta love the passion.

And based on that video, they weren't necessarily trading up to get THAT guy... They just wanted to be able to pick at 10, and then they went around the room and everyone gave input on who they thought they should take at 10, and it SEEMED (based on that video) that the scouts were REALLY enamoured with the big TE/FB....

either didn’t value the guys available, which with the rare combination of size and established high level teams play/blocking that was available seems odd, or just valued the guys we have highly. Good for clercius bad for corcoran.

Not a big deal really. pretty good draft. filled our biggest need with the best player in the draft at that position, de. Got a top tier ol futures. plus some intriguing fit potential.

considering ott took the next big hback available, either they thought he’d be gone, or just wanted to secure the guy. Don’t hate it, this is the draft to do that in.

We will know by how heavy he comes into camp.

It could go either way really. Maybe when he’s 100% they really like how he runs and thinks he can play a bunch of positions and roles for us. Maybe they want to go te sets instead of having a guy like clercius block half his snaps.

But if you’re in it for the blocker, he wouldn’t need to add much weight and canadian tackle prospects are not common.

I’m all for the cfl evolving to use 11 formation. If you like this kids hands, and blocking, it’s easy to see the value in him even if he starts out as a package and heavy set guy.

I hope to see some 5’10 210 lbs sam trying to block and cover this 6’6 275lbs kid.
