Not MOS’s mo, especially with certain players. No way he deviates unless he’s literally forced to.

Then he will have to be forced to........assuming that Walters and, for that matter Miller, are paying attention.  Enough of this country club bullshit.

Having Bridges canned stat would send at least a bit of a message to the team to do their jobs or else, but hanging onto the rest of the slugs will negate the message and reinforce the "old boys run this place" attitude.

If Bob Dyce, arguably the nicest but worst HC in the league, can muster up the courage to bench/demote starters in order to turn things around this week, there's no reason why Osh can't other than he refused to.  We'll see what happens.

How much are Jake & Kolo making? Guys that are cooked & making close to $300,000 between the two of them. We pay guys who shouldn;t be starters & let a star player go. There were ways to make Lawler stay financially. Again, Walters did nothing.

Jake and Kolo have both never appeared on the highest paid players list, they are probably making somewhere between $100-$120K. Even if they aren't around you still have to replace them with at least a minimum salary guy (which may or may not actually be an improvement... probably for Thomas, maybe not for a center).. so at 70K you are saving about 50K a head and you are still only a third of the way to Lawler.

If you are talking about dudes with experience to replace Kolo, McEwen got 150K or so from the Riders, but he is 32 and not really a long-term play. Beard, also at 32, got 197K from Edmonton... and surprise! Both of those guys are injured.

It seemed for the longest time Eli was going to be the plan at centre... who knows what is happening there. Both the lines have way too many way too old guys on it.

I said after week one having those two picks would insure a long rope as a starter despite the fact he’s very easily the worst covering DB on the team. Constantly getting beat, half because he’s always trying to under cut some route.

To me Strev is good if he gets all the 1  reps and a gameplan, like Week 1.
He’s been pretty terrible whenever he’s had to come in off the bench both this year and last.
It’s pretty clear his knee is still really buggered too.

I had reconstructive surgery on my knee a few years ago, and although it wasn't probably as dire as Streveler's it took me a year to fully trust it and even after then I still had moments. I would not give up on Streveler just yet until he has had a few games to settle it and act without the nagging "what ifs" interfering.

My point is we have 2 guys on the roster in Kolo & Thomas drawing $250-300,000 & are no longer effective players. We pay them & let lawler go as we don't want to pay what Hamilton is paying.

I triple that sentiment.....

My takeaway is that Bridges should be given an apple and a road map. Our OL and DL were useless, and Strev is not a very good QB

Also our coordinators are not coordinating anything

Yeah I think if the weeks plan has Strev in it all week...and a week of running it he will be fine...Hogan I think is over his head and can't deviate yet mid stream...let alone make in game adjustments...So not too concerned about that...Plus look what he got to work with...not a heck of a lot

JY...I think he needs tthe players to run what he doing...and right now he is probably 4 starters shy of that...and doesnt have the rotational peices...and the couple he does are the ones who shopuld be starting...and one is on the "IR"

WJ should be spelling off Person and Vaughters and that should eevate his game if not for any reason pride...and we should be scouring every nook and crannie looking for another end....and a true inside plugger Nose...and dont stopuntil we find it....Bailey needs to be on as well for rotation and development for Korn or Thomas...Even Novack as he is basically redundant to all the LB's we employ anyway....truthfully Thomas and his glue pot should be parked on the 1 game if not cut...

Kramdi and T.Jones should lose their starter role..Kramdi as depth...T.Jones with the 1 gane injury....and Ayers..J.Jones...Wilson should work at SAM/Mack with one of Grffin or Parker at SAM.

Allen and Woodbey...2 guys who just made plays all camp and in both Pre-season games should be given a shot/look....cant be worse than what we seeing....and no reason at all Shay and Smith should not be seeing the field in rotation considering all the subbing we do....which is another thing...we sub way too much and doesn't let a guy get in a groove or figure out what the guy(s) he going up against is doing and to get an edge

Simplify the scheme if need be and run a base of 4 5 different looks and sets and excel in them...then install more...pretty sure thats what CGY has been doing and they been owning teams on defence....plus they play athletic guys...the best ones available to them

3/4 of that easily used elsewhere  for  a playmaker/impact guy and the other quarter to an entry level guy with upside...or draft pick

This club needs an injection of talent ASAP. No idea on how or who they could get at this point.

well...to start they can try the guys they have in house first to see if they make a difference...as dear leader claims "they are all starter quality' and "if they in the building they give us a chance to win"  so prove it or STFU and find some who can

Like yeah... Bridges just quit on the play. Should be an instant cut.

He was watching a great play unfold then realized right that guy was his cover as his palms went up as he watched mooseman do his dance.

Kolo got $150,000 according to Hodge.

Can't find a salary on Jake but let's say $120,000. That's $270,000 for the two. Jake's role could be filled with an entry level Canadian or American, so let's say that 40k you could save. A C draft pick would do better than Kolo, for fun let's say they drafted Fortin who starts for Calgary. That's what 70k saved. So between the 2 that's a potential 110 k saved.

They had talent & let them go after the past few seasons. We never replacd the guys we needed that left. "Everyone's a starter" & "Next Man Up!!" says our Head Coach.. That only works if you have talent & depth. Once you begin starting the scrubs then there is no NMU. It happened to Calgary after 2018 & looks like it'll happen here.

They also used about a Lawler salary amount to have Mitchell and J. Jones sit on ass.

He did come into an awful mess though. The WRs, ol, game plan. He didn’t play well but I’m not gonna judge his ability to come off the bench.
We do need to replicate week 1 now though.

Even the INT he threw in the third wasn’t a terrible decision but, if he makes that throw he has to miss outside and not make it easier for the DB driving on the ball. Strev puts it on the pylon or if the WR works back a bit more, that interception doesn’t happen.  I’m also not going to discount the fact that Greene made on helluva play and sometimes **** like that happens.

Yesterday was an uphill battle for whomever was in at QB.  Too much juggling on the offensive line and a receiving corps that lacks a legitimate difference maker.  Even Collaros started to just zero in on Demski (who, for as much as I love the guy, isn’t striking fear into anyone).

It was clear from the outset that Calgary had ZERO respect for the offense and weren’t threatened at all.

Imo the db made a great break closed quick with our receiver lacking situational awareness but Strev gotta show more patience and eat the ball and live to play another down. 20 20 hindsight I know.
