I don’t think it’s about decisive wins at these positions as much as group under performance. I love sterns heart and motor. Full effort blocking despite his size. I hope he surprises us. I think we are all disappointed and rightly so, in the way the battle went for the last wr spot. 1 hour ago, Booch said: Thats it eh?....RB and nothing else....and thats according to??? yes he played teams...Osh even commented that he was out there just destroying guys....Stop being fixated on the "rb" attached to his name....means jack.. and him....and Logan for that matter being on field at same time does not mean it takes away touches for BO....He will get his touches....but also I hope this yr now we dont have Buck that we distribute the ball to guys who are open...or have the best play developing....its not about who touches the ball the most...ot's about how you go about touches to get a win yeah that makes more sense....a raw rookie with limited skill set..seems like an odd choice White showed more than Sterns...Hall showed more than both them....White offers more to in the run facet of our game which I assume we will be leaning on....guess we will see but putting a guy on our roster who couldnt stay on Sask's isnt a win in my books...thats a fail MOS shouldnt get the benefit of the doubt based on a lot of his rostering....some people around here think he's just this other worldly god who does everything right...and he aint...no coach is Sterns over white seems surprising. I know they really liked sterns intangibles but white seemed to have a good edge.
rebusrankin Posted Wednesday at 11:38 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 11:38 PM Perhaps Sterns is in because they want a guy who can do those 7-10 yards routes and CS gets the ball out early? Bigblue204, HardCoreBlue and Goalie 3

Atomic Posted Wednesday at 11:53 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 11:53 PM Sterns had an interesting college career, he played for Western Kentucky and he had the highest receiving yardage total, receptions and touchdowns in the entire NCAA in 2021 with 1902 yards and 17 TDs on 150 catches. I don't care what league you're playing in, those are crazy numbers... Especially for a guy who is barely 5'8". I'm not going to judge him on what he did in Sask on a mess of a team. I think there is some great potential there. Bubba Zanetti, sweep the leg, M.O.A.B. and 2 others 4 1

He made a lot of plays in sask even though he was the low man on the totem pole and was never a featured player. Atomic 1

They have the cap space to abuse the hell out of the 1 game IR this season, they can use it till real injuries crop up and the roster sorts it's self out as it usually does. Might need it later on to pay Randolph or Vanterpool and keep them off the PR once Lofton returns, if the O-line does not suffer any more injury setbacks.

Yeah and go after nfl cuts aggressively if they fit our need. Idk about Lofton. Fringe guy missing this chunk will have a serious uphill battle. So fair to say nearly exact same level of production in 23, 32 (White) and 45 CFL games. IMO keep/roster the guy the QB's want/mesh with and who fits the offense....which we haven't seen yet with Hogan scheming and calling the plays. Piggy 1, blue85gold, Noeller and 1 other 4

Mitchell got 63K upfront, 148K overall, so $85K for the season, ~$4.7K per game JJones got 15K upfront, 120.5K overall, so $105K for the season, ~$5.8K per game. It's game 1, so $10.5K to sit. *numbers from 3downnation so who knows if accurate Sorry. I'm an accountant. FWIW I really want to see JJones play and would prefer him on the roster. Hope he gets in soon. Mitchell it sucks to burn the bonus money but whichever of the 3 vet receivers brought in showed the most in camp gets to play. Overall much better depth position than last year at receiver and LB. TBURGESS and wbbfan 2

Just not showed the most in the preseason games. There was a whole camp that most of us have no idea what happened at because there is no one to report on it. 2nd year guy Wheatfall beat out Mitchell and White to make the active roster. Sterns beat out Mitchell and White to make the active roster. Reports are he has chemistry with Zach. Hall made a few catches in a preseason game. So what?
