2025 CFL (Non-Bombers) Season

From 3DN about TSN broadcasts this year....

"The CFL on TSN is taking a renewed approach to its broadcasts for 2025.

The network’s panel will travel to all nine stadiums over the course of the upcoming season, sources told 3DownNation, including visits to Regina and Montreal in Week 1. Kate Beirness is returning to host the panel with Henoc Muamba and Davis Sanchez filling the main roles alongside her.

Paul LaPolice will also frequently appear on the panel, though he will also perform colour commentary for one game per week. As previously reported, longtime panelist and Hall of Fame quarterback Matt Dunigan is no longer with the network.

As for Milt Stegall, who has been with the network since 2009, there is no timeline for his return after the death of his eldest son, Chase. The 20-year-old died unexpectedly at DePaul University on Monday where he was a member of the school’s soccer team.

“Our CFL on TSN family is absolutely devastated over Chase’s passing. If you know Milt, you know that his family is everything to him, and we cannot imagine the pain he is going through right now,” said producer Chris Edwards in a statement to 3DownNation. “Milt is our brother and we are going to give him our love and support him in any way we can, and in whatever way he needs.”

During a broadcast teeing up the 2025 season on Tuesday, TSN dedicated its coverage this year to Chase’s memory.

TSN plans to flesh out the panel by rotating in active players, though it doesn’t appear as though this will happen every week. Players will generally make panel appearances during bye weeks, though there may also be opportunities for in-studio appearances when players are in town to play the Argonauts or Tiger-Cats.

Friday Night Football, a longtime network staple, will have a brand new presentation featuring fresh animations, graphics, and music. One source called the scope of the production “bigger.”

The play-by-play personnel at the network has remained unchanged for 2025, featuring Rod Smith, Dustin Nielson, Marshall Ferguson, and occasionally Farhan Lalji. Colour commentary will be performed by Glen Suitor, Duane Forde, and LaPolice."

Honestly the main selling point of the CFL are the timing rules of the final 3 minutes.  And arguably the most boring part of any NFL game when a team with a one score lead can just bleed the clock un

Given the sheer number of injuries at the QB position in the NFL this season if he had *any* shot at a roster (PR or otherwise) it likely would have already come.  I'll never begrudge *any* athlete who chooses to chase a dream or maximize their earning potential but (selfishly), hope he and his team read the writing on the wall sooner than later.

yeah...if he had any remote shot....he'd been at least brought in for a workout.....but nadda

So basically this yr he has earned camp per diem....and then a whole lot of nothing...and isn't developing a bit at home...or wherever he is not being in the Bomber's facility learning and practicing....quite the waste of a season for sure

I'll add Vaval against Veresuk for ROY.

Also Kiondere Smith should have been Hamilton's MOC.

ESF and WSF next week being moved up one hour since game 7 of the World Series is scheduled for that day.

Bobby Dyce fired in Ottawa officially. How Burke survives is beyond me.

11 4 last night. Might not go 7. I got the Jays fever even and I don’t like them. They aren’t my team but I got the fever. I now want them to win.

Wonder if they take the easy route and just promote Rick Campbell....

I think that may have been what they had planned all along.....Dyce has been a liability for quite awhile....Burke saved himself from being ousted himself by making Bob the scape goat but if things don't improve under a new head honcho Ottawa might complete the cleanout

Maybe Campbell was a backup plan but they could have done that without extending Dyce months later. He was hired in January and then Dyce got extended in April. Poor cap management amongst many other issues with that team.

Dyce seems like a nice guy and probably a good positions coach but as a HC he was a little over his head.

way over his head. Good positional coach, And a good scout to help cover cis.

Maybe he comes home next year if he is looking to stay in the game, I believe he apparently lives here in the off season

2027 Grey Cup to be hosted by the Riders. Be nice if it was played in a place that had indoor plumbing.

ugh....I was hoping after the last cup held there, they would hold off for a while. The place can not host a major event. Like not the stadium....the city. Not enough facilities and no one actually wants to go there.

yeah....infrastructure wise they are lacking on several levels....and doesnt make for a great experience....plus it's Regina...the best thing to ever come out of that place was KickAxe

You're being very kind in the way you phrased this. Very Bigblue of you.

No ******* hotels.... That city should never be given any major events.

I travelled to every Grey Cup for 26 straight years, with one exception....Regina the second time around. My first experience was so poor I said never again. EVERY other Grey Cup was an absolute treat and was exceptionally well done.

wait, you're telling me you don't want to drive to moose jaw after the game?

Moose Jaw if you book now. Nearly every hotel room at any reputable hotel is booked before tickets even go on sale. There are some seedy hotels after but unless you like head lice, bed bugs, and tuberculosis you should just book out of town and prepare to walk because transit is completely non existent. Regina is a complete fiasco from a travelling fan's perspective and the CFL doesn't know any better because they have blocked off rooms for their needs and those of the broadcast/media well in advance and that pretty much covers Regina's rooms capacity.

My only Grey Cup there I thought I had lucked out through a bus tour out of Winnipeg that came with a room. Little did I know I was expected to share the room with two other strangers. Just awful.
