From 3DN about TSN broadcasts this year....

 

"The CFL on TSN is taking a renewed approach to its broadcasts for 2025.

 

The network’s panel will travel to all nine stadiums over the course of the upcoming season, sources told 3DownNation, including visits to Regina and Montreal in Week 1. Kate Beirness is returning to host the panel with Henoc Muamba and Davis Sanchez filling the main roles alongside her.

 

Paul LaPolice will also frequently appear on the panel, though he will also perform colour commentary for one game per week. As previously reported, longtime panelist and Hall of Fame quarterback Matt Dunigan is no longer with the network.

 

As for Milt Stegall, who has been with the network since 2009, there is no timeline for his return after the death of his eldest son, Chase. The 20-year-old died unexpectedly at DePaul University on Monday where he was a member of the school’s soccer team.

 

“Our CFL on TSN family is absolutely devastated over Chase’s passing. If you know Milt, you know that his family is everything to him, and we cannot imagine the pain he is going through right now,” said producer Chris Edwards in a statement to 3DownNation. “Milt is our brother and we are going to give him our love and support him in any way we can, and in whatever way he needs.”

 

During a broadcast teeing up the 2025 season on Tuesday, TSN dedicated its coverage this year to Chase’s memory.

 

TSN plans to flesh out the panel by rotating in active players, though it doesn’t appear as though this will happen every week. Players will generally make panel appearances during bye weeks, though there may also be opportunities for in-studio appearances when players are in town to play the Argonauts or Tiger-Cats.

 

Friday Night Football, a longtime network staple, will have a brand new presentation featuring fresh animations, graphics, and music. One source called the scope of the production “bigger.”

 

The play-by-play personnel at the network has remained unchanged for 2025, featuring Rod Smith, Dustin Nielson, Marshall Ferguson, and occasionally Farhan Lalji. Colour commentary will be performed by Glen Suitor, Duane Forde, and LaPolice."

Great deal for the Stamps,  the guy was really good last season,  Maybe a change of scenery will make a difference for him.

Constant rotation is what we do, a lil excessive in my opinion as doesnt allow guys...especially dline guys to get in the game flow....but when we do it ad nauseum with inferior Canadians when you could use an import...whats the point

Games where we give up gobs of yards...difficulty getting off field and zero pressure on the QB just making it worse...it is when we have Thomas and Korn (tho he gone now...again) kelly...Hallett in whatever combination on the field...when we only need Krmdi and or Lawson

Same with that stupid front we run with Thomas or Lawson on the nose, and one the edge....and we flip flop them in this setup too...Both do nothing on the edge...and when Thomas is on the Nose.....useless...pushed back...spun around...washed away...or put on the ground

Package up a Thomas and Kramdi....do them a solid and get em closer to home and toss in a 2nd round pick

Yeah. I think I’d look for a center or Neufeld replacement from Ottawa. 
 

cuz oline got some issues here. And I would think 2 perhaps 3 spots are gonna be up for grabs next season. Tackle (big Stan) center (kola) guard (Neufeld)

actually....Neuf can, and prob be a damn good center even at his age and a career extender for him...He has seen every front ever in the cfl so he'd have no issues making out the clls

And in all honesty he has played really well all yr at guard...a few moments of wtf but that happens to any oline guy, and also chalk a lot of that up to with what was going on with our OC and system, and not to harp again but an actual center who could do the job, and both guards look worlds better too

Geno or Hardy would be great adds.

Drew as well but isn't his wife/girlfriend a doctor in Ottawa?

The only players Ottawa would trade are aging vets that they are iffy about resigning or know they are unlikely to ,Mauldin fits that mold. 

Just to throw it out there what about a trade  of the rights to Elgersma and  our 1st round pick for Dru Brown. Crum has been more effective for them and less injured

 Also how good would a cdn qb look in the nations capital. And we would have a qb if that one more hit happens to ours

Why not get Crum? 

Ottawa would be more likely let him go as he is only signed for this season. 

He'd be great insurance if needed.

They’d trade FAs who are coming up and might not resign, and places they want to spend more or less. 

That said, the last guy they are trading is brown. He’s young fairly cheap and locked up on multi years. 

 

I do wonder what’s up with elgersma. I thought he’d  be up here if not getting an nfl pr spot. It isn’t coming this year for him now.

I’d try to trade for Addison just as playoff insurance in case a WR or 2 get nicked up. 

He can do the stuff out of the backfield that Demski does and would be capable of covering any spot in the  WR corps. 
Better than getting thinned out and having to use a guy like Corcoran in the playoffs.

honestly tho we should try and get Woli back for a bag of tape and balls for stretch rin...Ham not using him and he would easily take Corcorans spot on roster and actually be useful and is also a receiver that ZC and Strev trust....and we know how key he was in rungame especially when the weather gets cold

Depth charts out for tomorrow and the Riders have 7 changes with Sayles as GTD. That seems like... Alot at this point in the season

So new commish but same old CFL when it comes to some things. They weren't happy about the GC halftime show being announced in 2023 until late September so they committed to earlier announcements.  A year later, here we are in early October and crickets. Too busy trying to Americanized the game I guess.

Ironically having a bad bunny or Taylor swift half time show would be huge for the grey cup and cfl. But it will be some country crap. 
 

should be a Winnipeg themed half time with Winnipeg bands and acts. Maybe bring back the crash test dummies
