If they called it like that every pass play would be 6 flags on the field.

When the ball is live, when is it EVER a good idea to put your hands on a players back.  Wilson dives at the ball.  No penalty.  Wilson taps him down.  No penalty.  Wilson could do NOTHING and the ball is recovered and we take over.  No penalty.  Wilson chooses to give the guy a shove.  It’s a penalty.
