December 13, 20214 yr So, looking ahead....what's our off season going to look like? Coaches and GM all still under contract, right? Players? Who's going to the NFL? Who do we think might bolt in FA? Pieces that we'd like to see the WBB pick up in FA? Edited January 10, 20224 yr by Noeller

Looks like he got thrown to the wolves with the qbs be had to play with. And another hard nosed wr who loves to block. https://www.nfl.com/prospects/antonio-nunn/32004e55-4e40-8165-5264-83a6a2ad1fb4 https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2940963-antonio-nunn-nfl-draft-2021-scouting-report-for-atlanta-falcons-wr Looks like another good prospect for sure. I like the fact he is a cold weather receiver out of Buffalo as well so fall ball shouldn't bother him.

It is going to be an incredible TC battle at WR. I could see a good 3 guys sticking on the PR. The widening of the hashmarks is going to be extremely interesting if it does indeed go through. I believe it will affect us more than any other team. Teams are all running variants of Halls cover principles these days. But they aren't entrenched in it for the most part. Hall is great at adapting, but man it will be hard to cover in the CFL. Our defense works on pressure from 4-5 guys and keeping guys in front of you. Which is a whole lot easier to do when you play half the field. We had lots of times where our cover bought our DL enough time to get to the QB as well. On offense we've long seen woli be under used, settling for a role far below his skill and athleticism. If suddenly his spot is as viable to throw to as any on the field watch out, he could easily be the top NI pass catcher in the league next year. Could see a Cooper kupp type of resurgence. His break out 18 season had him scoring a td every 9 catches (elite territory), with 253 yac on 650 yards 5.66 yac per catch, 14.4 ypc, with a tremendous catch rate. For his career since then the only thing we've seen go down is his number of targets, and ypc. Also, if the field is spread and the defense has to play side line to side line in cover, the run game is going to open up in a big way in the cfl. And no team is better poised to take advantage of that then us.

March 28, 20223 yr Can someone tell us out of towners about this Hogan dude as the story is behind the FP paywall. I've never heard of him.

Coles notes short version He's a guy that looked sorta like Hulk Hogan who was kind of a huge drunk and in my opinion,a wee bit annoying if you sat near him. 50 year Olds acting like students tho... we all know one and we all likely look at him and go " I hope I don't turn out like that "
March 28, 20223 yr Specific story in the paper was that fans were drunk in the student section, one on particular was so drunk (52 year old) police went to escort them out. Second fan jumped in to intervene, more police arrive. Third fan (24 year old) then jumps in and starts punching police officer in the head repeatedly. Drunk 52 year old tries to break free and he and police officer roll down the stairs in the struggle. Many fans then throw beer at the police as they walk the inebriated folks out of the stadium. 24 year old charged with assault P.O., 52 year old to the drunk tank but later released. Picture in the paper:
March 28, 20223 yr No need for stuff like that. Stay home & get drunk watching the game where no one gets hurt.
March 28, 20223 yr I believe the 24 year old posts here or did before. Hed be older now tho and hopefully a bit more mature. Nothing worse than old ppl who act like drunken students tho. Edited March 28, 20223 yr by Goalie
March 28, 20223 yr My dad and I used to sit section S in the first row in front of that guardrail before the stairs up to the top. Had a front row seat to the show that day. Good times.

I had heard something about that through the rumour mill, I think on the OurBombers comments (that Hogan was being escorted out, and his son was person #2 who intervened, or person #3 who got charged with the assault) but I did not have any confirmation from the story, so I did not want to speculate on what was not factually in front of me. That still stands, so although I concur that I have heard the same thing as you, it is not gospel so don’t take any credence in it from me. And weird that the fact of the 24 year old being the one charged doesn’t match the picture of what appears to be an older male (with the Hulkamania bandana) throwing a punch.
March 28, 20223 yr Author WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed American defensive back Robert Priester. Priester (five-foot-nine, 180 pounds, Wyoming, December 25, 1993 in Tampa, FL.) played in two games for Winnipeg in the 2018 season, recording seven defensive tackles. He was in training camp with Edmonton in 2019, and played five games with Tampa Bay in the XFL in 2020.
