Tucker Carlson??  Tucker ******* Carlson?!!!! That guy might be the biggest asshat that has ever lived.  Nothing he spouts can be considered ‘information’.

So we take Colby Barlow in the first round, of Owen Sound.   Apparently he was the youngest captain in his team's history, and also a smart cookie being named the OHL Scholastic player of the year.  Love how Sportsnet misspelled "Scholastic" in the chron on screen ("Scolastic") - oh the irony.

18. Winnipeg Jets -- Colby Barlow, LW, Owen Sound (OHL)

NHL Central Scouting ranking: No. 12 (North American skaters)

Barlow (6-0, 195) can beat defenders with his speed or strength in shielding them off 1-on-1 in tight quarters. He also can handle physical play along the boards and could develop into a top-nine forward at the NHL level. The 18-year-old led Owen Sound with 79 points (46 goals, 33 assists), 13 power-play goals and 12 game-winning goals in 59 games as captain and received the Bobby Smith Trophy, awarded to the Ontario Hockey League's scholastic player of the year. Barlow also led Owen Sound with three goals on nine shots in four OHL playoff games.

sounds like we drafted a legend kind of wish he was ready right now

Lambert last year and Barlow this year. Slow down Chevy 😂

Button had all kinds of praise for Barlow......was pretty solid on his previous draft takes ....Maybe we have an up and coming star.........Looking forward in seeing him do his stuff with the big league

At 17, Barlow’s got a Perfetti beard if Perfetti let it go 10 years 😂

Jets 3rd round pick (82nd) RW Zach Nehring of Minot.

Edited by FrostyWinnipeg

Barlow is the new Evan "Dad" Bouchard. Had a 40 year old's beard since he was 12....

Wow. That's a really interesting pick. You don't necessarily see World Juniors starting goalies go that late. Who knows if he'll turn out, but it's a good pick at that spot.

The Winnipeg Jets are processing Blake Wheelers buyout. He will be on waivers today. There will be a number of teams with interest in signing the veteran as a free agent, including the Dallas Stars.

Hopefully he can retire a Jet down the road
