Covid-19

A judge will decide whether drive-in worship services should be allowed to continue without fear of fines after a Winnipeg church took the provincial government to court Wednesday over its enforcement of public-health orders.

Manitoba Court of Queen's Bench Chief Justice Glenn Joyal said the case is urgent enough to be argued Saturday, before planned drive-in services this weekend. He's expected to decide then if he'll grant the church's request for an interim stay of the public-health order that restricts gathering sizes.

U.S. Surpasses Record For Coronavirus Deaths In A Single Day
More than 2,800 people died from COVID-19 in the U.S. on Wednesday, higher than the previous record of just over 2,600 dead in a single day in April.

That is a 9-11 every ******* day.

Slow ramp up to this number... coupled with a lack of violent and sensational violence.... yawns...

Can’t say Pallister doesn’t speak the truth.

Pallister started out aggressively and appropriately, but took his foot off the gas. Now the sick and dying are paying the price. He may have regrets, but that is of little comfort.

There are not many politicians that would openly call a portion of his base Idiots to their faces. You have to give him some credit for that.

We all took our foot off the gas after the almost non event wave 1 was. I

look at other jurisdictions that had severe outcomes early that also are at a point where things are about to break. Quebec and BC especially, how can theor Premiers have those approval ratings with what is happening around them?

Agreed. The silences of MLA and MP are deafening, and Pallister has already indicated that he will not run again, so he has freedom to speak openly.
