I'm starting this thread as a side discussion of all things Corona Virus related. I understand that this is going to be discussed in almost all other topic threads but we could collect news and other items here. 

 

At work, many conferences have been cancelled.

NBA - Suspended.

NHL - About to be suspended. 

NCAA March Madness - Playing - no crowd. 

 

Political Rallies have been cancelled. 

Travel bans. 

 

Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks tested positive. They're in Australia where testing is available. If they were in the US, they wouldn't have been tested.

Yeah- their AstroTurf campaigns are truly disgusting. That Michigan Conservative Coalition was influenced a lot by the Koch brothers and they are the ones behind this insane and selfish movement of reopening...

what is sinister is the campaign and the origins of it are not the will of the people... they are being manipulated by those that have no interest in the lives at stake, only in their hedge fund portfolios...

As a further proof of Trump's stupidity, if we needed any, is that the 200-person advisory committee that Trump is setting up is meant to be a rubber-stamp for his actions as well as a public image ploy, many of those who he had named as being on there, were totally unaware of it. but Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump are. All is well.

Understood. You've opened my eyes to what may be happening behind the scenes. I don't have a lot of knowledge of U.S. politics (or any politics for that matter). Politicians are not my favorite people.

I sincerely thought this was a grass roots protest from regular folks wanting to go back to work.

Most of those people protesting thought so too. Don't feel bad, it takes extreme scrutiny to see though astroturf campaigns nowadays
