  • Here’s the reality with Nichols ... he had a better than average (for him) night and tossed up three balls that were good looking - one to Lawler for a nice little gain, one to Woli that was just not

  • What I like about Strevler is he likes to push the ball downfield..he might not progress through all his reads but he immediately goes to the money makers and if not there he takes off as opposed to t

We have another Canuck, Johnny Augustine who looks to be quicker and more elusive than Harris but probably not as powerful or experienced but his hands are unknown. I think we're ok there but its hard to replace an all-star. We also have Brady Oliviera on the IR and gone for the year but he looked very good in his brief stint.

Disagree.  Have only seen Augustine in about 3 pre-season games but he hasn't run away from anyone.  He's an inside runner with some elusiveness, but doubt he has the gear to hit some of the runs Harris has this season once he's got outside.  Augustine would do well to be an average level CFL back.

Hell we don't even need to replace Harris with a Canadian if we feel an American is better at rb. Can use a Canadian on defensive line, between Thomas and kongo there are options. Could use another Canadian receiver to. That's how the bombers are different than a team like the riders. Our Canadian depth is good and all over the roster.

Probably end up dressing an American as DI then rotating with the receivers and Canadian back.

We've seen glimpses in pre season and regular. He's shown enough to be a ni back up but not more.

Likely out come.

Demski can't block for ****, which is why he was the first of the Bison triumvirate to make the move to receiver and has never played special teams aside from returning.

He can carry the ball but there's no way in hell they'd run a straight drop back with him as the 6th blocker.

It's true. But in our offense playing the flat for dump off passes is as valuable and forces the committment from defense. We block n release a lot too.

We don't have an every down back up ni that's proven. That's a crazy rare commodity.

It would be very nice if a local media person would actually do an in depth interview with the coaches or Nichols.   Maybe ask to see if the dump offs to Harris are by design or a safe out because the receivers are being covered.

Or dig in about injuries like nuef. Local media had gotten exceptionally soft.

Lol man, that's so true. Watching the press conferences, it seems like every week O'Shea gets asked a variation of "How awesome is Andrew Harris?".

Demski does throw some nice blocks as a receiver - give him that

Augustine has played great when called upon. The guy definitely hits the hole hard and can grind those hard yards.

I suspect that the team planned to use Oliveria to spell Harris this year before the injury and for whatever reason won't try it with Augustine.

People are the starter for a reason, there isn't a backup rb in the league that could replace half of what Harris does, in fact most of the starters in the league couldn't replace him either. You are crazy if you think the loss of Harris wouldn't be huge and devastating to your team.  He is size and speed, if you don't get ready and respect his power he will run you over. If you get too low and try to take his legs out he will dance around you. If he hits open field he is gone and you can't catch him. Also most rb's don't have good hands, who is going to catch all the passes he gets or replace his blocking skills. For a starting running back right now in the cfl, at all facets of the game, there is no one better.

Hecht is a starter on your team and you are laughing at our depth???

Peterman could be a starter in that scenario.

Edem is your safety & you laugh at us?

Our backup, Jones, is better than your starter.... Never mind Hecht who's been very very good for most of this year.

Edem can at least keep up with the play and is tall enough to go on all the rides at the fair

12 tackles and 2 ints, which happened in the same game and one was a deflected ball.. Edem has 31 tackles and 1 sack. No one in their right mind would switch Edem for Hecht. No one

Oh well the sask safety is making a lot of tackles, that must mean he's great! Afterall when the play gets to the secondary and the safety has to make the tackle then you know you're shutting teams down. Oh no wait, the other thing, when DBs have big tackle numbers it means they're giving up catches.

Edem is ****. He's a journeyman like Hecht.

I really don't understand how a Rider fan can even think about getting into a **** waving contest over Canadian depth with Bomber fans. The difference between the two teams Canadians is just laughable. Not only do we have superior top end Canadian players but the depth is not even a ******* contest.

Ripper comes on here, plays possum like he wants to get along & then like morning follows night becomes the troll we always knew he was.

Its more like we get along fine as long as I don't call anyone out. The second we disagree I am a troll, is that pretty much how it is?

You are a huge Homer. Might be a news flash for you but the Bombers don't dominate every position and player and statistical category in the league

I’d take Loffler over either of them

I might as well, to be honest I'd take Jones over both too.

I always liked him. Sometimes goes for the hit too often when he should make the tackle but I like the aggressiveness. Willie had to get paid somewhere and I think it was at the expense of Loffler
