I'm not sure what to think of the Ticats this year. This should, in theory, be our toughest test so far. Going east, facing a good team on the road, and so on and so on.

Really hoping to get Matthews or Bighill or both back, but don't want them rushed.

The Athletic’s Kirk Penton’s outstanding weekly CFL post had one anonymous comment — from a CFL personnel member and it stood out.  

“That scheme June Jones ran over there was good for (Jeremiah) Masoli. He put up big numbers, but if you look at the game the way we do, you would have seen Masoli’s mechanics were getting worse as the season went on. This year they’ve gone to crap. Look at how his left shoulder opens. Look at him throwing off of his back foot. (Tommy) Condell may be a play caller, but he’s not a quarterback coach. Masoli’s mechanics were good under (Kent) Austin. Under the next guy (Jones), you could see his mechanics getting worse. Now they’re terrible. We’re surprised they aren’t self scouting better in Hamilton. It’s the first thing our defensive staff talked about. Masoli’s accuracy has been affected by his mechanics.”

Austin didon't have a whole lot of use for Masoli... relegated him down to third string.  And when he did he had him running a lot..which Masoli rarely does anymore even withnJones.

and massively illegal now....actually that's not true. Red and Assiniboine sturgeon are fine. Just not the good lake ones in the Whiteshell.

It is pretty funny that this is the first year we went into camp with a receiving corps that looked awesome and now we finally scout some good receivers. Could have definitely used these guys from 2014-18.

Second, him and Streveler were super stoked that my buddy Ray and I had their jerseys.

Thirdly, Matthews was there and looked very unstabbed. Good turnout - Strev, Demski, Willie, Stove (played a couple songs), Lawler, Sayles, Humes, Speller, Lucky, Rose, Nelson (walking boot) and Petermann all showed to support.

I'm guessing that you were the crew that came in towards the end and sat down at the table next to us (big old black guy and small old white guy [me]). I thought Woli was rather good too. Nicholls was there for the first hour or so.
